It was recognized by the partners in this project that the education process in their organizations needed to be upgraded, in a meaning to offer to the new generation of students a new approach in knowledge transfer process. Many surveys had proven that the students (and the employers) are demanding skillful labor when entering their enterprises, instead of an individual who knows how it should be done but does not have the skills to do it.In that manner, at the beginning the project was aiming to provide the following objectives:-Create user friendly IT based tools for knowledge transfer in two disciplines:oNutritionoManagement of accommodation facility-Connect professors and employers while establishing the elements that would become part of the future IT learning tool-Train students to perform research in order to create promotional tools for the tourist offer while developing new learning toolFour HEI took place in implementing this project:-University Goce Delchev in Shtip, Republic of Macedonia acting as Beneficiary-Prof Dr Asen Zlatarov University from Burgas, Bulgaria, -Veleuciliste u Sibeniku, Croatia and -Alexandreio Technologiko Ekpaideitiko Idryma Thessalonikis from Greece as partners in this project. As far as outputs development is concerned, for the forst output research and selection of recipes that are part of the electronic edition were completed on time and after 4 sets of workshops on which numerous testings were taking part, the Electronic calculator now is operational and is used by the professors, students and any other interested party. Since the first output was divided in two subsections, the second one was to search for traditional meals within the countries of the region, to publish a National Menu booklet and to the train professors from the HEI in preparing these meals, thus building up capacity in foreign countries and enriching knowledge to the students in the countries abroad. On the each of the workshops, which were taking place at each of the participating country, participants were exposed in practical training, the best in transferring knowledge. The hosting institution was in charge of preparing the training, on which the participants were preparing meals of the hosting country. The second output, although similar, had a bit different approach. It was performed in a form of a Blended course of Distant learning method. As in the previous output, during workshops the participants were testing what’s been done in time between two workshops and agree on what needs to be done in the next period of time. The software is already in use by the professors and students from all the institutions and as by several users from the rest of the world.During implementation phase, UGD staff had organized a promotion activity for other HEI and high-schools. All of them participated in the testing period expressing their feelings. Their level of satisfaction is expressed by receiving Letter of support for the job done and a request to continue developing similar tools which make knowledge transfer process much easier.

In general most of the Macedonian farmers are uneducated and use fertilizers and pesticides spontaneously, what often results in inadequate production in means of quality and quantity. On the other hand, according to the EU regulations, the farmers will be required to follow approved production principles or will be facing possibilities to be penalized for applying amounts of fertilizer without performing soil analysis, or for applying certain pesticide which holds no permit to be applied over certain crop. This project aims to produce critical number of experts, OER and on-line tools that will provide service and expertise to professionals (advisors), farmers and rural community in order to increase the quantity and quality of their agricultural production, yet to be aware for the necessity for environmental protection as well. Groups of extension specialists in plant production and plant protection, along with organic farmers will be exposed to the foreign experiences in applying Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Organic farming principles on a farm level. HEI, members of this consortium will join forces in order to create short-term courses on most important IPM and Organic principles The reason for transnational nature is due to the lack of IPM and Organic practice in HEI in Macedonia. Two of the consortium members are registered and accredited in EU member country and conduct training for students and other interested parties on IPM & Organic farming principles in accordance to the EU regulations. Chania will be to be developed soil analysis procedure and fertilization recommendation as well as Organic and IPM production of so called Mediterranean crops and fruits i.e. olives and olive oil production, citruses and peaches growing, hence its role will be to transfer the know-how in growing mentioned crops according to the Organic and IPM principles. On the other hand, the Agrarian University in Plovdiv will be invited to develop know-how transfer through organizing short-term courses and development of learning tools in Organic & IPM management for apples, pears, table grape and grape for wine production. Four short-term courses (7 working days) will be organized. One of them on soil analysis and environmental protection through proper use of fertilizers in agricultural production. The second course will be organized for the IPM/organic principles in growing Mediterranean crops, such are table grape, peaches, olives, citruses and production of olive oil. These will take place at the premises of CIHEAM in Chania, Greece. The remaining short-term courses will take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The topics that will be covered are to be Organic farming (preparation of mixtures for plant protection) and IPM in growing apple, pears, and table and wine grapes. Also one-day multiplier event will be held, on which presentation of new created IT and OER tools will be presented in front of number of local farmers and other stakeholders. UGD, the project applicant will also develop a project web site to host the OER and will develop and upload on-line calculator for applying fertilizers in accordance to the crop specifics as well as pesticide data-base registered for use in the Republic of Macedonia. The other tree partners are directly or indirectly involved in farming and will be users of the project intellectual outputs and responsible for further dissemination of the results to the farmers as individuals or companies. The expected impact of the project includes: Increased number of competent individuals who will understand the forthcoming implementation of standards which ordinary rural population (farmers included) hardly understand; Creation of tools for sustaining knowledge on different level of expertise. Introduction of IT tools in agriculture and changing the prejudice that computers and IT have no place in agriculture; Common understanding on the direction where Macedonian farmers need to develop in order to stay in production, as the introduction of the 'new' regulations could drive majority of them into bankruptcy; HEI to understand the necessity to include IT tools in learning process and to assist the agriculture sector in larger accessibility to information of various character.

"The overall purpose of the project ""Digital education in nursing"" project (DEN) is to modernize the existing curriculum for nursing students by developing digital modules regarding lectures / examinations into new forms of education. The project will run for 24 months and the expected results are supposed to have long-term positive effects on nursing education in the EU. The pandemic has been the reason why the traditional academic education in nursing has forced to be transformed into digital forms without the lecturers being given the opportunity to adapt the pedagogy to the digital education. If we do not make this transformation in a systematic and student-friendly way, we will have fewer nurses / specialist nurses and deteriorating patient care that is not in line with the EU-s recommendations and goals. The lecturers need support to develop their pedagogical skills from the traditional way to a more digital way in order to maintain the required and necessary high quality in nurse education. The traditional way is not sufficient, or applicable, to meet today's requirements especially not for satisfactory examinations. Previous research has shown, that the kind of examination methods chosen, are important for how the education is designed, and in the next step in what way the examination is able to test the required knowledge in order to guarantee that the students will fulfill the requirements of the teaching's goals. The traditional pedagogical method is not sufficient, or applicable, to meet today's requirements with digital teaching. This can have a negative impact on students' fulfillment of learning goals and reduce the students possibilities to succeed in their examination. In the long run, this may contribute to a reduction, i.e. a deficiency, of nurses in the whole EU.The project consortium consists of five partner organizations representing five EU countries (Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Sweden). The consortium's strength is based on the competence of each partner organization that represents different skills, knowledge and experiences from nursing education and digital education and relevant development areas to ensure a successful delivery of the project's results. All partner organizations have a strong tradition in nursing education and have already successfully collaborated in a European (Erasmus +) project (see project references). All partners organisation have worked with the digital nursing education at different level during pandemic 2020.The primary objectives of our project are to enhance the ability of lecturers at the involved universities, and participating organisations, to provide high quality education, including digital education •to focus on building teaching capacity to implement, with both blended, and on line, teaching and learning; •to develop digital pedagogical competences of lecturers, enabling them to deliver high quality digital education; and to develop and/or use high quality digital content such as innovative online resources and tools. •to share and exchange experiences, expertise, and resources, and in collaboration, create a digital course of mutual interest•to collaborate regarding digital technology by using different providers and experts in educational technologies and with experiences in relevant pedagogical practice. The expected results of the DEN project are the following:1. teachers and lecturers will have an increased understanding of digital teaching pedagogic;2. to identity, adapt to, and develop the necessary measurements, assessments and actions required for quality enhancement of digital teaching and learning processes;3. to train lecturers and other teaching staff for harnessing pedagogical and methodological principles and new modes of teaching and learning to be able to adapt to higher nursing education.4. to develop methodology and platforms for broader integration between digital teaching and learning for postgraduate studies in nursing. Our project will have long-term benefits both for our PO as well as other universities. We will modernize and renew and make flexible curricula with innovations for nursing education. We will publish our results and our handbook online, thus enabling other universities to use the results of our project."
