All three are organizations with vast experiences in international mobility and recognition and validation of learning. The project will begin in November 2015 and will end in February 2017 and aims at developing the cooperation between NGOs in Romania, Italy and Nepal, especially in the fields of recognition, validation of learning, digitalization of learning, but also in IT related topics. The partners will develop a SUPPORT PLATFORM and DELIVERABLES related to the “BE COMPETITIVE!” topic. These resources will be available for youngsters and youth workers in Europe and Asia, providing support for Europe-Asia cooperation in the field of youth. The innovative approach is based on:- The Romania – Italy - Nepal cooperation- The development of non-formal methods and techniques for promoting recognition and validation of learning and digitalization of learning- The platform which will serve as a tool for developing new partnership between EU and Nepal- The project will deliver new and innovative tools for management of youth projects- The input that the partner from Nepal will provide for adapting the outputs to the needs of youngsters in the country- The general approach will stimulate creativity, innovation and large-scale usage of IT&C The activities of the project will be both direct and on-line and will aim at training youth workers, providing mobility opportunities (through an EVS stage), a proper evaluation of the project and insuring a good dissemination of results. More than that, the project includes an intercultural dimension, providing not only contacts with the fundamental european values such as active citizenship, tolerance, solidarity and respect, but also ways to explore and discover how EU is built and opening the participants for intercultural learning and lifelong learning.

Following the motto of that year, “Our heritage: where the past meets the future”, we tried to connect the past with the future, that is to say, to digitize Spanish heritage (the literature, art, history, everyday activities, food, tradition, habits) and make it more available through the creation of an online course on the platform called Cultuforma.A survey conducted among members of Association of Spanish language teachers in Serbia (APES 90 members at that moment) showed that a high percentage of teachers had observed the necessity for a course focused on the importance of culture in the acquisition of the Spanish language as a foreign language (97,3% of the respodants considered that a creation of an online platform about Spanish culture, with all didactic material is important and necessary for teachers and students). Guided by those reasons and the analysis of that need, the project team proposed the development of a course available to all Spanish teachers around Europe and beyond. We had two partners: one partner from Romania, with great experience in creating massive open online courses (MOOC), and the other from Spain, who was an indispensable representative of Spanish culture and native speakers. They both transmitted the knowledge they possess and enriched their teaching competence due to the collaboration with their colleagues from Serbia. As a result of the collaboration between the three countries, the course content was based on transnational and multicultural experience, as well as on the needs of each country. The course was made by 12 teachers from different institutions in Serbia (Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac, Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, public and private primary and secondary schools and language academies ) with great experience in teaching, 4 teachers from Spain with great experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and in providing courses such as teaching-training staff for Spanish language teachers, and 2 teachers from Romania with great experience in online courses for Spanish language teachers. The project activities were: Presentation of the project, meeting on Skype with partners, preparation of the material for the platform, preparing the platform (Moodle) with IT expert and connecting it with the websites, and its presentation to all participants of the project in Serbia, preparation of the material and marketing activities (promotion of the course), training/course related to culture with partners from Romania, Spain and Serbia in Salamanca, making the material for the platform (webinars, presentations, articles), conference in Belgrade / Inauguration of the platform: tutorials, applying of the participants, marketing activities, creation of the forums, marketing activities and the course preparation, technical trials and the course preparation, online course on the platform – Module from 1 to 10, conference in Belgrade, staff meeting, certificates, final meeting on Google meet and final meeting of APES project team for conclusions. The course contained 9 modules with 36 articles, 36 PPT and 36 tests and 36 videos and the final exam. In total 229 participants enrolled the course. The course will stay opened and free to use in the future. The course will remain on the page of government of Serbia Digitalna Solidarnost. In each module the participants were able to interact among themselves, as well as with experts from the current field. At the end of the course, each participant got a certificate as proof of the successful completion of the course. The main cultural topics were: Language in the cultural context, Everyday life in Spain, History, Arts and Literature. The participants of the Cultuforma course upgraded their knowledge about the Spanish culture, improved their teaching skills, and had an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different countries and exchange teaching experience. On the local, national and regional level the platform was an innovation, since there was no such free learning and teaching resource available previously. Since gaining access to the platform, the educators were able to start a process of a life-long learning and developing their knowledge. Also, the teachers were able to collaborate on a national and international level, which could make future projects and collaborations possible. On the European and international level, the teachers from different countries were able to collaborate and share their skills, knowledge and doubts, as well as exchange teaching experience. As a result, we have a free online course with downloadable material which could be useful in the classroom since it has complete PPT presentations, articles, videos and tests which can be directly integrated into class.

Europe needs to update not only its social model but also its business model in order to respond to 21st century challenges. Entrepreneurship is one of the four common EU objectives of Strategic framework – Education & Training 2020 and a powerful driver of economic growth and job creation (Entrepreneurship 2020 Action Plan, Reigniting the entrepreneurial spirit in Europe) and an instrument to improve employability levels (Annual Growth Survey 2013). Social economy could be a way to go further because it combines job creation and economic sustainability with a care for equity, diversity, participation and environmental goals. In Europe, approximately two million Social and Solidarity Economy organizations represent about 10 per cent of all companies and employ over 11 million people, the equivalent of 6 per cent of the working population of the European Union (“Maximizing Dignity Through Social and Solidarity Economy”, SSEDAS, 2015). In Spain, there are over 200.000 social economy organizations (‘The Social Economy in the European Union’, Ciriec International, 2012), in Poland – almost 1.000, whereas in Cyprus and Romania or is a newer concept. The “ALTERNATIVA – the power of community through social entrepreneurship” project is aiming to enable adults to acquire and develop skills and competencies needed for their employability, to turn their business ideas into concrete actions while also caring for the environmental sustainability and their compromise with the community. The idea is to empower adults through the exchange of experiences, in order to gain an opportunity to learn about different ways of self-employment, working for a social business and various options of innovative social entrepreneurship. The ALTERNATIVA project is focused on people who have to face the main challenges of the today economic world such as unemployment, economic instability, seniors 50+, women, adults from disadvantaged areas or with special needs. Four partners from four European countries (Poland, Spain, Cyprus, Romania) will bring relevant and complementary skills and human resources to work for fostering a common understanding of the social entrepreneurship and popularizing this idea in their communities. A very important goal of the project is also to improve the competences of trainers from partner organizations in the field of educating people from disadvantaged groups about the social economy. To achieve this objective, there will be organized a joint staff training for them during which the staff will be prepared to conduct training in their countries. As a results of the project will also be prepared a collection of successful social businesses and a manual of good practices will be created in order to present the results of the training workshops and to make a summary of the good practices and ideas shared about social economy initiatives in powerful communities.
