    Inspection and Maintenance (I&M) represents a huge economic activity (450 Bn€ market) spanning across sectors such as energy, transport, civil engineering. EU hosts over 50% of I&M robotics offer but there is a bottleneck connecting it to the market and high potential applications. RIMA is a 4-year project aiming to establish a network of 13 Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) on robotics sharing best practices and providing services to facilitate uptake of I&M technologies. Our challenge is to reinforce this connection and to provide education and training on robotics I&M and to connect the value chain - research, technology companies, service providers, end users and investors- for accelerating economic growth in the field: - RIMA is building upon the network pioneered by SPRINT Robotics extending it to all relevant sectors across the value chain. - The RIMA network encompasses: o leading research organizations supporting one DIH per region aligned with regional policies and industry sectors. o Sectorial associations who will make a bridge with end users and industries. - RIMA will offer services including support to testing and technology transfer, coaching and training on robotics for I&M, process optimization and communication. 50.5% of RIMA’s budget will be distributed to SMEs to run experiments using FSTP - RIMA will advise on funding opportunities relying on the S3 Thematic Platform on robotics for I&M federating the common ambition of 13 EU regions. - Network sustainability will be ensured by adapting the SPRINT business model Expected results are (i) increased competitiveness of EU I&M Robotics, (ii) economic added value by increased productivity and availability of the critical infrastructure (iii) social and environmental impact through improved safety and less emission of hazardous substances (iv) the constitution of a sustainable and scalable (open to new members) DIH network aligned with the industrial and European policies and ambitions

    The primary motivation of the ENEN+ project is to substantially contribute to the revival of the interest of young generations in the careers in nuclear sector. This is to be achieved by pursuing the following main objectives: • Attract new talents to careers in nuclear. • Develop the attracted talents beyond academic curricula. • Increase the retention of attracted talents in nuclear careers. • Involve the nuclear stakeholders within EU and beyond. • Sustain the revived interest for nuclear careers. The ENEN+ consortium will focus on the learners and careers in the following nuclear disciplines: • Nuclear reactor engineering and safety, • Waste management and geological disposal, • Radiation protection and • Medical applications. Integration of further nuclear disciplines (e.g., nuclear chemistry, decommissioning, fusion engineering…) and sustainability of the ENEN+ accomplishments beyond the project life of is foreseen within the existing ENEN Association and its members and partnering of ENEN association with ongoing and proposed projects. The attraction, retention and development of the new nuclear talent can only be sustained beyond the project life through strong partnership of all nuclear stakeholders. Involvement of various nuclear stakeholders including academia, industry, international organisations (ENS, FORATOM, IAEA, NUGENIA) and Technical support organisations in the ENEN+ consortium is therefore of primary importance for the success and sustainability of the proposed activities also beyond the life of ENEN+. A mobility fund of more than 1.000.000EUR for European students researchers and learners is established in the project.

    Nuclear power and non-power technologies are technically very complex facilities that operate in the increasingly challenging regulatory framework and market conditions. Development, construction, operation, decommissioning, waste management and oversight of these facilities require personnel with excellent education, skills and motivation: nuclear specialists, that are equipped to work in multidisciplinary, multicultural and competitive environments. ENEN# stands for the largest and most integrative nuclear Education and Training (E&T) efforts up to date. Attraction of excellent new talents followed by outstanding development through E&, cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary activities are the overarching objectives. Excellent workforce should remain the basic enabler of safe long-term operation of existing and development of advanced facilities. A detailed insight into the EU supply and demand of nuclear human resources for power and non-power applications will be developed. This will include industries, academia, technical safety organizations and regulators. Higher number of nuclear talents will be achieved through dedicated career related events and competitions for high school pupils and teachers, students (BSc, MSC, PhD), postdocs and lifelong learners. A strong mobility program will support over 100 person-years of nuclear career enhancing experience to about 1.000 learners with over 2,5 million EUR. Cross-border and cross-disciplinary mobility within and beyond EU will be promoted in cooperation with JRC, OECD/NEA and partners from USA, China, Korea and Japan. A single hub will be established to provide information on available educational, training and job opportunities. Appropriate connections with the complementary NRT-12 project facilitating access to research infrastructures will be maintained. A centralized platform with coherent information on vocational training programs, developed during the project, will be established.

    SNETP is an European technology platform, founded in 2007 as a stakeholder forum recognised by the European commission to act as a key actor in driving innovation, knowledge transfer and European competitiveness. Its main role is develop research and innovation agendas and roadmaps for action at EU and national level to be supported by both private and public funding. It mobilises various stakeholders to deliver on agreed priorities and share information across the EU. SNETPs is focused on nuclear fission technologies, but it also fosters networking opportunities and international cooperation in order to address cross-sectorial challenges. SNETP has a mature structure reflecting these three strategic themes in its three pillars: NUGENIA, ESNII and NC2I which have well-established programs and governance (thanks to dedicated EC funded projects) for succeeding in their missions: The aim of SNETP-FORWARD project is to help the association consolidating its structure, strengthening it’s position in the Set-plan and among the European ETIPs, enhancing it’s ability to interact with the European and International associations and organisation and last but not least to be engaged in the innovation world by boosting the innovation capacities of its members.
