VET4GREEN aims at building the capacity of the beneficiary organisations, individuals representing the target groups, supports the development of the necessary skills and facilitates the exchange of transnational good practice by fostering cooperation between European and African partners.The project will make the VET courses more labour-market oriented and relevant as it improves the level of competences, skills and employability potential of VET course students by developing new and innovative VET education programmes. The needs of the underrepresented groups and persons coming from disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds are considered in the project design. VET4GREEN raises the awareness of the target group representatives from Poland, Sweden, Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Rwanda on the need of updated VET for preparing students for success in green energy sector and disseminates information on the project outcomes and outputs created via comprehensive PCDP. The target groups of the project are: VET institutions, Teachers, curriculum designers in the VET centres, Employers and Employers’ organisations, University students, VET students, young professionals, Companies from green energy sector. The project involves 4 organisations from Europe (CEEC, Formac, NDF, FKARIBU) and five from Sub-Saharan Africa HIPDET (CM), SVK (KE), HiED (KE), PTU (SO), HiRi (RW) and features the following activities: 5 International Online Trainings Courses for Assessing and Validating Learning Outcomes in VET, 2 International Online Workshops, Study Visit to Poland, research and analysis phase, work of the VET Counsellors, development of the 2 VET teaching programmes, preparation of the 2 course-specific Handbooks, development of the Online Platform/Self-learning tool, Work-based trainings in the green energy sector company.
more_vert assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:SVENSKA UNGDOM LEAGUE, SEDARVP GHANA, HORIZON INSTITUTE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT, PUNTLAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY, SCAMBIEUROPEI ETS +1 partnersSVENSKA UNGDOM LEAGUE,SEDARVP GHANA,HORIZON INSTITUTE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT,PUNTLAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY,SCAMBIEUROPEI ETS,HORSEEDFunder: European Commission Project Code: 618809-EPP-1-2020-1-SE-EPPKA2-CBY-ACPALAFunder Contribution: 144,055 EURThis project focuses on social and sustainable entrepreneurship to create a community of young people who can shape a better world for them and future generations.Including 3 European and 3 African partners working in the topic with NEETs and young people with fewer opportunities, the project responds to the need of engaging youth workers and young generations from different backgrounds in identifying tools and methods to achieve an entrepreneurship looking at the economy in a human- and culture-oriented environment by sharing good practices and reaching equally.Todays’ context brings challenges and opportunities for them to act, express potential to boost green innovation, get inspired from stories coming from abroad, and use all to change their life and the society.Specific Objectives:-to foster youth workers methods in creating innovative social opportunities in labour and entrepreneurial field by sharing good practices, tools and methods;-to provide young people with the tools to create and sustain a social-intercultural entrepreneurship through non-formal education and experiential practice improving their creativity and innovation while also experiencing how to develop small sustainable projects;-to raise awareness on sustainable development and global environmental issues among young people and local communities;-to create an EU-African network of young people who can share innovation and improve their communities by finding sustainable solutions;-to promote sustainable social entrepreneurship, quality employment and education opportunities among regions outside the EU involving local stakeholders.The project will include the following activities:- Kick-Off Meeting;- Job Shadowing for youth workers;- Local workshops for young people;- Pre-departure training for young people;- BootCamp to foster social and green entrepreneurship among youth;- Local activities to develop small projects;- Large Scale Youth Event to present the results of local project involving business angels;- Final Meeting.Main expected outcomes and results:- high-quality series of podcasts on youth entrepreneurship know-how and knowledge (OER) by experienced youth workers, experts and trainers broadcasted across the EU and beyond.- improved NGOs capacity in supporting NEETs young people in their entrepreneurial development by shared know-know and innovative tools.- follow-up activities and projects development among involved actors in the social and environmental sector with the support of a fostered local networking.- strengthened collaboration and networking among the African and European involved countries.
