The duration for the project was 2 years. The result of rapid change in XXI century is that some particularly vulnerable or disadvantaged groups (long-term unemployed, immigrants, minorities, adults drop out from the labor market, unskilled, digital illiterates, people with psychological distress, etc) are excluded from the market. Many studies conducted at European level show that it is necessary to increase the number of adults involved in lifelong learning, in order to reduce unemployment, social exclusion, lack of confidence in themselves and in the institutions. In order to increase the number of adults involved in lifelong learning, as well as the quality of the training provided, the partners of “MADE in EU” project aimed to deepen and experience in their local contexts, methods and approaches, able to create interconnection between formal, non-formal and informal learning and share best practices, concerning adult education. The partners worked locally to identify small ""vulnerable"" groups of adults excluded or de-motivated to take part in lifelong learning (target groups). Training needs of target groups were identified in terms of key and soft skills: communication skills, digital competence; learning to learn, social and civic competences, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, cultural awareness and expression. Obstacles and reasons for which the target groups are excluded or not motivated to take part in lifelong learning were analyzed; best practices and innovative methods in the field of adult education were exchanged and studied (in particular peer to peer approaches; learning by doing and the andragogical model), also presented shortly in the project website, Facebook page, Booklet and the APP that can be downloaded and publicly used by education community."

For further information contact us at helpdesk@openaire.euassignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:Euro-Idea Fundacja Spoleczno-Kulturalna, University Of Thessaly, EURO-NET, IKCU, INTERSURGICAL LIMITED +1 partnersEuro-Idea Fundacja Spoleczno-Kulturalna,University Of Thessaly,EURO-NET,IKCU,INTERSURGICAL LIMITED,CRNFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-DE02-KA204-007652Funder Contribution: 328,210 EURThe main goal of Green Routes is to create a toolkit to promote sustainable solutions and trends in urban areas. The toolkit will be created through the three intellectual outputs and the training methodology. The Promenade theatre and storytelling Input Training will produce scenarios for both live and virtual AR educational tours on topics connected to sustainability. The scenarios can be used by educators to perform the tours - the training plans will be documented in a paper guide book. The virtual tours can be experienced through an AR app, which will interplay as well with the guide book. All products and educational guidelines, plus the practices and experiences gathered in the training will be stored in the Green Routes Online Tour and Learning Hub, a one-stop-shop for any educator, individual or entrepreneur interested in green education in the chosen cities. Green Routes is following the approach of educational tours. The method using journeys (trips) with the educational purpose has been established in pedagogical science a long time ago. However, the common approach to the concept „educational tourism” is still not established in Europe. Also, the problem of how to make the optimum use of the method in order to build the professional competence of learner is present, and the topic is scarcely reflected in the pedagogical literature. The concept of „educational tourism” is relatively new, so it has to be defined, its content should be outlined, and the classification structure should be specified by developing criteria for its efficient use in the training of adults in line with the needs of the labour market, esepcially keeping in mind the aim of sustainable recovery after the COVID19 crisis, as outlined by the European Commission.Spefically adult education is a driver in the interconnections of the three dimensions of sustainable development (economic, social and environmental) and can contribute to the UN’s 2030 Agenda. There is a real need for education for sustainable development, and especially non-formal education has a very high impact. Green Routes is adressing this gap by prociding and innovative, digital tool kit for an important topic which will be at the core of the EU in the upcoming years as we address the priority on working on environmental and climate goals with inclusive green education. The project activities are imagined to generate a big impact in terms of new skills acquisition, knowledges and experiences in the branch of promotion and valorisation of environmental education. The project participants will acquire a wider perspective about methodologies applied to sustainable solution on a European level. The impact will be monitored and steered through the described evaluation tools and measures. We expect all participants of the project to be conscious about being more sustainable as a community, organizations and individuals. We expect them to be ready to share their new knowledge, to teach and encourage others and to get involved.

Every year millions of people all around the world are forced to abandon their homes because of different displacement reasons such as; poverty, war, persecution social and political exclusion or searching for a better life. All European countries are affected, directly or indirectly, by this migrant flow. More than 43 million people worldwide are now forcibly displaced, the highest number since the mid-1990s. As our societies are becoming more various because of migration tendencies, more people started to live in multicultural societies. The increasing number of refugees’ population call the need for some issues such as social integration, tolerance, non-discrimination, solidarity, public health etc. Most of the migrants are unemployed and this difficult situation is affecting social engagement and integration. Also, the unemployed people that are not migrant are showing the same problems in the full integration and on the needs to increase the skills both social and digital for better employability. EMERGING NEEDS Migrants and unemployed need to increase the knowledge and skills about: - cultural sensitivity in order to be more integrated into society - active citizenship in order to feel part of a larger and new context where to live in - digital literacy to increase the employability and also extend the adult education thanks to ICT tools PATHWAY Exchange and transfer of Good Practice examples with practical details about its possible use and effective implementation. The OER outputs are going to be used by educators of ADULT MIGRANTS and UNEMPLOYED. The selected TOPICS are: - Active Citizenship and Community Building - Cultural Awareness - Open Government - Urban Sharing Lifestyles - Social Communication Methodology - Digital Literacy - Digital Education OUTPUTS/RESULTS The project aimed to: • Produce a PRELIMINARY REPORT about the state of art of the integration and employment policies in partners' countries; • Explore and discover successful GOOD PRACTICE examples about European cases of integration by social and digital learning (covering all the above-mentioned topics) – available in all Partners’ national languages; • Stimulate a change in adult education thanks to the EXPLORATION OF INCLUSIVE AND INNOVATIVE APPROACHES to social and digital inclusion; • Transfer the of knowledge about effective methodologies and approaches during a JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENT. The event aims to train selected staff (adult educators from partner's institutions) about some interesting topics: active citizenship, creativity in urban areas, social communication methodology for the integration, digital education and community building; • Create a WEBSITE integrated with Blog and Social Networks containing MATERIALS TRANSLATED into all partners’ National languages to promote and encourage extensive exploitation and dissemination; • Disseminate the project outputs and results throughout the EU with a database of OPEN EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES available through open licences; • Create a NETWORK at the international level aimed to share and compare ideas, practices and methodologies. PARTICIPANTS Each partner organisation were involved with some participants as follows: - 1 per Transnational Project Meeting (adult educator) - 2 during the Joint Staff Training Event (adult educator and/or trainer) - 5 or more during the Dissemination activities as Adult Educators (adult educators, trainers, trainee and volunteers). IMPACT ENVISAGED The partnership brought together partners coming from several countries and their stakeholders, with the synergic power to reach a very large and diverse audience, thanks also to an intensive dissemination campaign. The results, made as Open Educational Resources, are ready for large exploitation mainly at a local level but also at regional and national levels."
