""Creative industries"" are those industries which use culture as an input and have a cultural dimension, although their outputs are mainly functional. They include architecture and design, which integrate creative elements into wider processes, as well as subsectors such as graphic design, fashion design or advertising. At a more peripheral level, many other industries rely on content production for their own development and are therefore to some extent interdependent with CCIs. They include among others tourism and the new technologies sector. (Green Paper. Unlocking the potential of cultural and creative industries. EU Commision.2010) The rise of this new sector over the last years has led to a significant amount of opportunities for the economy and its entrepreneurs. However, the different nature and innovativeness of this industry gave rise to a number of new and difficult challenges (SRA, 2009). As a result of these challenges, there is a DEMAND FOR SUPPORT IN CREATING (NEW) BUSINESS MODELS AND FOR GUIDELINES FOR COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE INVOLVED PARTIES Open Innovation and Co-Creation Platforms can boost collaboration within Creative Industry , among Creatives and also among Creatives and Customers On the other hand, Sharing Economy Platforms can also play a powerful role in boosting co-creation and collaboration in the Creative Industry. The ‘collaborative economy’, ‘gig-economy’ or the ‘sharing economy’ are only a few umbrella terms currently circulating in the scientific and non-scientific literature to describe a new form of work organization, where work or services are being mediated through online platforms. There are specific Sharing Economy Platforms in the field of Creative Industry are; “99designs”, “Fiverr”; “Designcrowd”; “Crowdspring; Sharing Economy approaches can boost the implementation of Co-Creation and Collaboration within Creative Industry. However, Professionals of Creative Industry lack of skills for ; - Leading or participating in Co-Creation and Collaborative Business Models - Exploiting Sharing Economy Platforms as a way of managing their Co-Creation and Collaborative Business Models ;COL-CREATION is launched with the main objective of increasing the competences (attitudes, skills, knowledge) of Professionals in the Creative Industry on how to exploit Sharing Economy for developing Co-Creation and Business Models through an innovative training program The project has the next specific objectives: • Increase Co-Creation, Open Innovation and Collaboration Business Models to be implemented. • Show the potential of innovative Sharing Economy Platforms to be used as tool for boosting these Collaborative Models • Promoting the proper use of these Models and Platforms as part of global and sustainable Self-Employment and Entrepeneurship projects • Focus in specific challenges like Labour conditions and and Property Right Issues Through the execution of this Project the next results will be obtained; • Co-Created Methodological Guide will be developed, with the direct participation of End Users, with the main objective of determining the key contents, methodologies and tools needed for creating and improving the critical competences of Professionals of the Creative Industry on how to exploit Sharing Economy for developing Co-Creation and Business Models • Training Materials addressed to of Professionals of the Creative Industry, for enhancing on how to exploit Sharing Economy for developing Co-Creation and Business Models • Design of Experiential Training Activities; They will be the core of the Training Program and they will for enhance the practical and experiential training of Professionals of the Creative Industry, including the optimal and oriented exploitation of aforementioned Training Materials within real environments. • Development of an e-Training Platform, for supporting the implementation of the Training Methodology, including Training Materials, Workspace and links to applicable NFPSE Platforms. • Creation of 3 COLABOR-DISABILITY UNITS in the Associations directly working with Professionals of the Creative Industry in order to ensure the sustainable exploitation of the project after the project lifetime. • Development of Dissemination Actions addressed to the European Creative Industry COL-CREATION will benefit a number of persons during the project lifetime: • 45 Professionals of Creative Industry persons will directly participate in the Pilot Validation Actions for validation of the project results. • 2.000 stakeholders of Creative Industry will be aware, through multiplier events and dissemination actions to be carried on through the project website, newsletters, leaflets, etc"
