The Project addresses the process of internationalisation of higher Education (IoHE) (focus on Internationalisation at Home - IaH) in Asian countries as the one that requires immediate institutional response and actions. Enabling Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to strategically manage internationalisation in the provision of education, research, mobility and services are regarded to be the project’s overall objective and the main underpinning of Partner countries’ accountable and complementary role in EU-Asia cooperation development. The project's key target groups are academics, researchers, students and administrators who are participating or wish to participate in international collaboration. The qualitative leap in the process of internationalisation they will benefit from stems from the project's main outcomes.Overall Objective:To strengthen PC HEIs' internationalisation capabilities and to develop students' global competence through the integration of intercultural dimensions into PC HEIs' formal and informal curriculum.Results:1) Country profile on IoHE, including research and services issues 2) University Strategy on Internationalisation 3) University Action Plan on IaH4) Storytelling How-to Manual5) Guide for International Students6) Established/ consolidated International Relations Office and Projects Office7) FRIENDs Teahouse (intercultural hub)

Disabled students have limited access to HE in India and Bangladesh. This project aims to tackle this issue by making accessible HE OERs and MOOCs, and personalisation using AI, that will enable better provision of open distance learning for those that experience architectural barriers.DIVERSASIA will build capacity of 2 HEI in India (P2+P3) and 2 HEI in Bangladesh (P4+P5) to integrate these students that have disabilities using know-how and ian nclusive education toolkit developed by experienced inclusive education experts from UK (P1), BG (P6+P10), BE (P11), LV (P8), TR (P7) and RS (P9) including:-DIVERSASIA handbook which will suggest strategies that overcome the issues of inclusion, diversity and cultural differences in 21st century HEIs in Asia.-INNOVATIVE TOOLKIT with guidelines, checklists, best/good practices to implement universal design of learning.-INNOVATIVE ASESSMENT AND VALIDATION STRATEGY for OERs (SCORM) and MOOCs to review and assess their level of accessibility and to enable further revision to reach certain accessibility level. THE PROJECT RESULTS AND IMPACT WILL ENSURE THE PROVISION OF:- Inclusive education guidelines consisting of flexible, broad educational and extracurricular options.- Student-centred, personalised/individualized instruction and course selection based on assessment of engagement using AI technologies.- All written materials including OERs and MOOCs which are provided to students will be validated and further enhanced based on guidelines and recommendations provided by a dedicated toolkit.- Participating universities from India and Bangladesh (and through their national networks for dissemination and exploitation) will become fully accessible in terms of provision of digital content - this will further enable the improvement of distance courses that will allow students with disabilities to access HE (especially those that experience architectural and physical barriers to access in HE).

The TEAL2.O project is implemented by a consortium of 11 universities – 3 in Sri Lanka, 3 in India, 2 in Thailand, 3 in Europe, joined by a consultancy company. 1 higher education network in Sri Lanka and 6 PC Universities support us as associated partners. Improving access to Science and Technology (S&T) higher education is top priority in Sri Lanka, India and Thailand. Increasing Gross Enrollment Ratios and reaching underrepresented and disadvantaged groups requires investing serious effort into Open and Distance Learning (ODL). Yet, ODL and increased access, especially in resource-poor institutions, pose many quality-related challenges resulting from shortages of expertise, technological equipment, collaboration and internationalization. We aim to contribute to addressing these challenges and facilitate access to higher education through a comprehensive technological solution. We will develop and deploy an open-access platform for technology-enabled learning environment that will enable the design and delivery of quality ODL in S&T higher education. The TEAL2.O platform will have the following benefits:- modularity and full customizability, allowing institutions and faculty to design programs and develop teaching content that suit local needs and constraints, including those of underrepresented learners- unlimited possibilities for collaborative learning and teaching, allowing institutions to pool available expertise and support quality- learner-centred education, flexible learning pathways and co-creation on the part of learners- open source hardware and software integrated into the learning process to maximize learners’ exposure to technology and provide access to virtual labs and experimentationWe will train staff, faculty and students to use and develop the platform, and will establish 8 university Centres to provide user support and promote the exploitation of TEAL2.O, in the long run helping it to grow into a self-sustainable learning network.

"The purpose of the MSc Programme in Applied Computational Fluid Dynamics (APPLY) is to train and educate aspiring engineers, R&D specialists and future industry managers in the cutting-edge field of applied Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The APPLY objectives include• training of the academic staff, exchange of know-how and good practices,• modernization of the educational process using ICT and e-learning,• establishing viable synergies with the industry through joint activities and internship placements,• promoting ""hands on"" training and research via the establishment of APPLY CFD labs, • contributing to the local economic growth by providing domain-specific educational courses. The design of the APPLY MSc courses is conceptually innovative as it follows a practical and application-orientated approach to CFD, by initially focusing on targeted core subjects, which are necessary for the understanding of the fundamental principles of CFD, and then expanding outwards to meet the needs of different engineering disciplines. This agile structure allows for the maximum exploitation of CFD as an engineering tool, without reducing the academic nature of the educational programmes. The project is envisaged to have major impact in multiple directions, by: • training graduates who intend to work in the aerospace and automotive industries, in the energy sector or practice environmental engineering,•supporting the academicians, managers and scientific staff at the partner institutions, who will gain experiences of collaborative activities, cultures exchange and direct knowledge on the design and the development of educational programmes, • aiding the internationalization of the HEIs and providing a fertile ground for cooperation with other institutions • providing the industries and technology companies that are related to CFD access to a pool of skilled engineers, ready to engage in R&D and innovation."
