<< Objectives >>By raising awareness of European core values such as democratic rule, freedom of speech, the independence of the judicial system and the right to privacy, heritage interpretation byyounger generations and seniors can help to face some of the most critical challenges Europe has to meet. Citizens will take ownership of Europe if they acknowledge the rise of thesevalues as part of their own heritage. Experiencing heritage phenomena first hand offers the best setting for thinking about doing so.<< Implementation >>The value of these routes lies in the fact that places of cultural, historic, or natural interest are interpreted by “non-expert” citizens of different ages who add their own interpretation.Internet provides easy access to data and facts about historical places but not an interpretation of their role on the lives of local communities and the inks with the culture of other people in Europe. Our project will give voice of young and senior people interpret what they consider important landmarks.<< Results >>SEE and Share digital platform, media and social network reflecting the project will reach more than 500 000 European citizens in their everyday life to remind of Europe's common cultural heritage and values.

Our project SEE and Share (Senior Exchange to Promote Erasmus+ and Share Europe's Values) is a partnership of civil society organisations in 5 countries in Europe: Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and North Macedonia. I will foster heritage interpretation that enables citizens to give European heritage a deeper meaning, will make Earsmus+ program known among senior citizens through direct participations thus conributing to senior citizens engagement in sharing European values. Erasmus + and previous LLL program have given opportunities to millions of students and young people to study and travel throughout Europe, creating a new generation of Europeans open to different cultures and way of living. Seniors have been less involved in European transnational projects thus loosing the historical memory and lessions learned from the past in building European identity. Our project will target young and senior citizens from different countries in Europe to encourage intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, education and learning. The SEE and Share project targets two groups: younger people of age 18 -30, and adults 55+The main objective of the project is to foster intergenerational dialogue on the common European values and strengthen European identity among all citizens and generations. The specific objectives of the project are: - increase knowledge about EU programs and in particular Erasmus+ and the opportunities it provides to citizens of all ages and backgrounds - interprete European cultural heritage (world-famous as well as less notable sites that can symbolise European development; historical movements and achievements that embrace European countries) by providing opportunities to seniors and youth to exchange experiences in joint initiatives - share Europe’s values, by reflecting the way that people lived in the past and live in the present.By raising awareness of European core values such as democratic rule, freedom of speech, the independence of the judicial system and the right to privacy, heritage interpretation by younger generations and seniors can help to face some of the most critical challenges Europe has to meet. Citizens will take ownership of Europe if they acknowledge the rise of these values as part of their own heritage. Experiencing heritage phenomena first hand offers the best setting for thinking about doing so. The only way to do it is transnationally. After the completion of the SEE and Share project the results will be available to stakeholders and ordinary citizens, not directly involved in activities, through the open access to project outputs. Project outputs will be available through a digital platform of the project and will include a digital library of thematic routes that interpret the landscape of surroundings of places where partners are based. The routes will consist spots with interpretive panels that creatively and innovatively interpret the cultural and natural heritage of the place. The value of these routes lies in the fact that places of cultural, historic, or natural interest are interpreted by “non-expert” citizens of different ages who add their own interpretation. Nowadays internet provides easy access to data and facts about historical places but not an interpretation of their role on the lives of local communities and the links with the culture of other people in Europe. Our project will give voice of young and senior people interpret what they consider important landmarks in their cities.SEE and Share digital platform, media and social network reflecting the project will reach more than 500 000 European citizens in their everyday life to remind of Europe's common cultural heritage and values.

In line with Actions supported under Key Action 2 and the needs of this project to be carried out, the expected results of this project is to develop and to transfer implementation of innovative practices at organisational, local, regional, national or European levels and which are expected to bring positive and long-lasting effects on policy systems in which such Actions are framed, on the participating organizations as well as on the organizations and persons directly or indirectly involved in the organized activities. The uppermost purpose of this project is to strive to increase the implementation of alternative measures to prison for juveniles and young offenders in order to increase the positive impacts which implementation of such measures would bring back into the society. This is expected to be achieved through the main activities which include training of professionals working within the juvenile justice systems in order to enhance their knowledge and skills in their work. Furthermore, we strive to strengthen the involvement of the civil society through awareness raising concerning the benefits of implementation of alternative sanctions and measures. Through the involvement of public bodies in the project we strive to a more active dialogue with the policymakers in order to achieve permanent changes in the prevailing practices and policies. The methodology that is used in this project is based on the so called “Results-based management” (RBM) which is a broad management approach with a core focus is achieving results. The RBM methodology can be defined as a “management strategy by which processes, outputs and services contribute to the achievement of clearly stated expected accomplishments and objectives. It is focused on achieving results, improving performance, integrating lessons learned into management decisions and monitoring and reporting on performance”.It is expected that approx. 400 people will have direct benefits from this project’s trainings and good practice manual namely professionals who already work within the juvenile justice systems as well as members of the civil society who wish to contribute through volunteering. Indirect beneficiaries who will benefit through the dissemination of the project are municipalities and NGOs providing community based services and of course juveniles and youth who carry the sanction/measure of community service as a consequence of a judicial decision. The partnership, which geographically covers a large part of the EU territory, consists of organizations relevant to the project’s objective and with significant experience and expertise with key persons possessing high standard scientific knowledge of the framework.
