Radicalization amongst youth has become a pressing issue in the last years, both in Eastern and Western Europe and also Latin American countries. Situation and Trend Report of 2019 (Europol) referred to unprecedented numbers of young people in danger of being radicalized (religiously, ideologically). Antiradicalization Creative Thinking (ACT) aims to provide specialised training for youth workers in order to tackle the issue of radicalization within their communities, while involving youth into creative and media related activities aimed to enhance their critical thinking and the intercultural dialogue.Main objectives:-To raise awareness on youth radicalization and the importance on working on prevention programmes and methodologies-To equip the youth workers with the ability to identify those most at risk and with tools to respond to different levels of extremism and radicalization-The development of a training toolkit for youth workers on new strategies and pedagogic approaches towards anti-radicalization of youth-To identify and understand the causes of extremism and radicalization-To fight against the radicalization message in the media and the portrait of negative stereotypes-To foster research and knowledge about different contexts and situations triggering radicalization-To provide youth with skills in media literacy and audio-visual creation-To promote critical and analytical thinking amongst youthA first stage where training, awareness and research activities will be carried out in order to prepare youth workers participating in the project (A2, A4). A second stage where the youth will create their own productions based on their own research and reflections aiming to spread positive messages (A3, A5). During the whole project local based work will be carried out by the youth workers in the basis of their training in order to do field research and implement a series of resources that would be included in the final toolkit. An evaluation meeting (A6) will be conducted to draw main conclusions. The participants in the project can be divided in young people and youth workers. According to this division we have foreseen mobility for youth workers (2 training courses) and young people (2 youth exchanges). Although our main target is youth workers, the final target is youth themselves. Therefor local activities involving youth will be held, besides the 2 youth exchanges. The activities planned are diverse and different methodology will be used. According to this, we will have seminars, workshops, awareness campaigns, dissemination activities, online participative work, promotion activities and direct-action activities. As tangible deliverables we will produce a website which will be the container of the whole process and ideas developed during the project, e-learning materials (OER), an anti-radicalization toolkit, short films, videos, photos, brochures.

Throughout the world, women have to deal with day-to-day discrimination. Surely, the forms of it are different, but all of them negatively affect women´s life quality and their self-dignity. To tackle this, youth organisations from Lithuania, Honduras, Senegal and India united for a common project – “Step Up for Rights of Females”. The main goal of the project was to empower women by boosting gender equality across communities in the participating regions. This was aimed to be done through a stronger role of local youth workers and youth leaders; as they can be viable community ambassadors able to communicate the project’s message to their peers. In general, the project aimed to take a small step towards improving women’s situation worldwide, with more specific objectives being:1. Identify the main threats and obstacles for gender equality within the participating countries;2. Equip youth workers & young leaders with knowledge and employable tools related to women protection;3. Foster capacity building and new social initiatives in the field of youth work related to women protection;4. Strengthen partnership between European and non-European organizations. 5. Improve the capacity of the partner organisations to protect and develop women´s rights, as well as spread the project’s ideas to wider audiences. To achieve the above mentioned objectives, we developed, tested & launched a capacity building programme on women protection & development, targeting youth workers & young leaders from EU & Partner countries. The capacity building programme included: (1) analysis of women discrimination in partner countries, and creation of a training material for youth workers to tackle it;(2) 3 training courses for youth workers on women rights protection, which were hosted in countries suffering from women discrimination (India, Honduras, Senegal);(3) 3 job shadowing activities in the above mentioned countries for youth workers to increase their capacity to address education, health, social, environmental, and economic issues related to women protection and development;(3) Open educational resources, including an online platform and e-learning course on women rights protection, which allows youth workers and youngsters to be able to access the educational content developed in the frame of the project at any time;(4) Launch of “SHERO” contest for youth to support new social initiative creation for empowering women;(5) Creation of “For Her!” validation badge to be awarded to youth organizations working on women empowerment; (6) final conference & local conferences on women rights protection to share the results with wider target audiences. All of this improves the capacity of youth workers to tackle women discrimination and facilitate further initiative creation for stepping up for female rights.

Youth unemployment is one of the biggest challenges our global economy is facing: in 2016, 73 million young people between the ages of 16 and 24 were unemployed, a 6% increase since 2007. In Latin America unemployed youngsters represent more than 40% of the total number of unemployed in many countries. At the same time the EU28 is also experiencing a 15.9% rate of youth unemployment (February 2018).Artistic youngsters are specifically faced with difficulties when seeking employment within their field. Unemployment in Europe among recent graduates are highest for those, who majored in arts. Statistics evidently show that film, video, drama and photography majors are least wanted on the labor market, closely followed by fine arts and commercial graduates. This is due to decreased need for distinctive competences of artists by many companies. Thereby, seemingly those who study arts, study for a hobby rather than a source of living.Based on this, the members of the consortium (United Kingdom, Denmark, Colombia and Honduras) identified the need of advancing non-formal education in the partner countries by developing non-formal methodology that can help youth workers to support young people in successfully reinforcing their artistic talents with entrepreneurship. Thus, the aim of this project is to build capacity of the partner organizations to contribute to lessening the unemployment among artistic young people through entrepreneurship.Objectives:- To develop a compendium of at least 20 methods to support artistic young people in becoming entrepreneurs.- To train youth workers how to inspire artistic young people to become entrepreneurs and be able to deliver non-formal education in the art entrepreneurship context.- To strengthen the cooperation between Latin America and Europe and share best practices upon how to combine art with entrepreneurship, in order to contribute to economic growth. The project primarily targets youth workers from the partner organizations and their network. It is expected that by the end of the project they will have the capacity to effectively support talented young people to create relevant jobs for themselves. Building competences of youth workers in arts entrepreneurship will have an indirect impact on their beneficiaries, young artists. They will be able to inspire artist to engage in entrepreneurship, thus create their own job. After starting their own business, they will be able to employ other artists, who face the same challenges, hence creating a local economic growth. The partners consider this a sustainable way of lowering unemployment locally. Lowered unemployment, and economic growth in the sector will have its impact nationally and internationally as well.
