It had a duration of 14 months. The consortium was consisted of ACE-ES Romania, Cesur and bbw gGmbH.Within the current organizational structures and environments, youth organizations find an increasingly difficult to raise funds. Therefore, in this time of social and economic crisis social enterpreneurship could be strongly seen as a viable mechanism for NGOs’ sustainability and also a powerful tool for inspiring, educating and supporting new generations to act as active and responsible citizens. The percentage of NEETs in Romania, in Spain and all over the Europe is very high. The new youth generation – so called ”Millennials – The Generation Y” (Engaged, Optimistic, and Charitable) requires creative and entrepreneurial ways of involvement as active citizens. The European Commission stressed the fact that the youth organisations are one of the main providers of non-formal and informal learning leading to an entrepreneurial mindset and skills. In this regard, it was an urgent need to strengthening the support for youth organisations in providing guidance, mentoring and quality training. But to do so for their beneficiaries the youth NGOs also need trained human resources, work tools, focused action plans and professional volunteers to sustain them. A youth NGO needs to become a “professional actor” capable to attract the best resources, to produce significant changes, to create value through social business/social economy, to include more beneficiaries, to expand the area of intervention and to develop new services and projects. The general aim of the project was to stimulate transnational exchange of good practices and relevant experiences in developing modern and challenging action-based learning contexts for professional people of the youth NGOs (with a special focus on youth workers) based on social enterpreneurship so that they could stimulate development of their organisations and their target groups on economically sustainable basis. The project has focused on 3 specific objectives:O1 – Enhancing the professional development of at least 30 experts of youth NGOs from Romania, Spain and Germany (with a special focus on youth workers) through combined training approach in social entrepreneurship (practical workshops and elearning modules).O2 – Promoting a proactive and innovative non-formal way of learning/working with young volunteers of an entrepreneurial youth NGO called LIVE Laboratory and elaborating a methodology for this Lab.O3 - Strengthening the cooperation between youth organisations and public authorities through a transnational online network in order to foster social entrepreneurship initiatives.Project methodology was a participatory one based on:- creative tools and methods so that activities were implemented with participants rather than for them;- a culture of transnational cooperation and knowledge among different types of participants. There were a variety of activities grouped into 3 components consisting of: practical workshops; collaborative online group; developing 8 e-learning modules to expand social enterpreneurship knowledge and practical experiences of the youth workers/experts from youth NGOs; developing an implementation methodology of LIVE Lab as a new way of working with volunteers for the prosperity of the organization as a whole; setting up a transnational online network of cooperation composed of a large mix of organizations, for learning and acting together in terms of fostering social enterpreneurship within the youth NGOs.The main results were the following:Youth workers and other experts of youth NGOs were getting new know-how, professional skills and awareness on social entrepreneurship so that they could promote and use the take-up of practical entrepreneurial experiences in education, training and youth work. It was promoted LIVE Laboratory - a proactive and innovative non-formal way of learning/working with young volunteers in the spirit of an entrepreneurial youth NGO. A transnational online network was created from different type of organizations in order to foster social entrepreneurship initiatives. The long term benefits of the project: the participants became resource persons and they could support cascading of knowledge in their orgnizations and their local communities; participating organizations transfered each other information, good practices and know-how and fostered a more dynamic and committed environment inside them; the stakeholders contributed to a better understanding and recognition of the role played by youth NGOs, Millenials and social entrepreneurship for a brighter social and economic future.

Many have found these phenomena to be linked; research by the Royal Society for Public Health found that social media use across a range of popular channels led to increased feelings of anxiety, depression, poor body image and loneliness (RSPH, 2017). Internet addiction is also becoming more prevalent within society; some individuals are spending more than 15 hours a day online (BBC, 2014) and the WHO has officially classified gaming addiction as a disorder. Increasingly, it is recognised that internet reliance is having negative impacts on people’s personal and working lives (Ofcom, 2016). The gap between the real and online world has also created other issues. Unrealistic or selective content prevalent on social media has led to many, especially young women, reporting struggles with self-esteem and body image (Makwana et al., 2018, Davis & Hyman, 2018). Similarly, the proliferation of misinformation online has increasingly become a concern for European society. The EU’s Digital Single Market strategy recognises the need for digital media literacy amongst citizen for them to be able to responsibly navigate online content (European Commission, 2018). At the same time the internet provides opportunities for people across Europe to connect, learn and engage. Particularly, the EU’s strategy for a ‘Digital Single Market’ promotes a new horizon for digital inclusion and integration across Europe for mutual benefit. This recognises the avenues the internet opens for more accessible and innovative learning opportunities. New employment prospects, technological development and economic growth, fuelled by the digital revolution, are also bringing benefits to young people across Europe (IMF, 2018). Research has shown the social benefits of the internet, including promoting civic engagement amongst disenfranchised young people (Banji & Buckingham, 2010) and addressing mental health problems by connecting people with virtual support networks and a space for self-expression (Marchant et al, 2018). For young people to be able to fully benefit from the new opportunities provided by technological developments they also need the skills to protect themselves against the parallel dangers. Thus, DigitFit aims to work with young people, and especially those who have a problematic relationship with the internet, to raise awareness about the different beneficial ways it can be used. It also works to foster a more responsible use of the internet by this group, enabling them to find a better balance between their online and offline lives and more reflexively engage with the information and images they consume online. The project objectives are to: - Develop a DigitFit E-Learning Platform for young people- Create and deliver a Training Programme and Mentoring CirclesTM for skill and knowledge development around digital health for young people. - Increase young people’s skills, awareness and abilities for more responsible and beneficial internet use.- Increase Trainer’s ability to deal with this issue To achieve this there will be three intellectual outputs carried out as part of the DigitFit project: - IO1 – Training Programme The Training Programme will engage participants with the topic of digital health through the combined use of both a Training Programme and Mentoring CirclesTM. The Training Programme will educate them about the potential benefits and harms of the internet for young people and equip them with skills to find balance between their online and offline lives. The Mentoring CirclesTM will work with participants to increase their self-awareness and self-efficacy about their use of the digital world to foster more responsible engagement with it. - IO2 – Guide for Facilitators A Facilitator’s Pack will be developed to train both partner staff, at a one-day workshop, and external personnel working with young people who will take part in a programme delivered by partners. This will ensure innovative and excellent training both within the project and more widely to increase impact. - IO3 – E-Learning Platform The E-Learning Platform will host highly interactive and innovative tools and materials to develop young people’s competencies for engaging responsibly and positively with the digital world. This project will serve as a tool to raise awareness about the potential harms of internet and social media use for young people. It will also teach about the far-reaching benefits of the internet for young people including employment opportunities, support networks and as a cite of learning. Ultimately, it will combine this with training to foster the skills and knowledge needed for young people to safely navigate the digital world and truly benefit from it.

It constitutes the third largest economic activity in the EU, In 2018, the travel and tourism sector directly contributed 3,9% to EU GDP and employed 5,1%. In Europe, the sector supports 25 million jobs, directly or indirectly. The tourism sector is facing important challenges; it is becoming more complex and requires higher levels of skills and competences. Businesses and the workface need to adapt to new technologies, new market demands and changes in clients’ behaviour and expectations. Today, the competiveness of tourism very much relies on the skills and competences of its human capital. The situation is not different in Slovakia, where the tourism sector suffers from an acute shortage of skilled workforce, both in services and in promotion. It is precisely there where we see a great opportunity of involving the local communities and local authorities, and engage them in a project to increase their knowledge, skills and competences. The promotion of tourism and cultural heritage is one of the responsibilities of the municipalities, but this happens only in theory because workers don´t receive any systematic support to increase their potential, i.e. by receiving quality training responding to modern, digital skills, use of social media, etc. As a result, these workers enter in the vicious circle of becoming civil servants and “public tourist promoters” without an added value and gradually become low skilled workers. Low skilled understood from a broad perspective, because even if they have studies, their competence set does not match the needs of the current job market. And in case of job loss, these workers find it very hard to find an employment. Our project intends to involve precisely these individuals in new activities, train them how to use modern means of communication and digital tools useful for the development and sustainability of tourism in the region. The innovation element here lies in the networking capacities between private and public partnerships, the use of technology in education and training and their practical application in daily life. With the support of this project, local communities, municipalities but also professionals in the field of tourism or people interested in promoting tourism and cultural heritage would enhance their knowledge, skills and competences, share their knowledge with citizens and visitors in an attractive, dynamic and trendy way and therefore increase the potential of their territory. FlexiTour will promote flexible up-skilling pathways for professionals in the tourism sector with the aim to reduce the existent skills and competences gap. Our project will identify the skills needed to competitively tackle the demands of today´s consumers and provide our learners with an appealing & interactive training programme that will combine the use of technology with flexible learning environments. Our project aims: -To address the concrete needs of local communities, municipality workers, professionals interested in the promotion of tourism and cultural heritage-To enhance the skill set of professionals in the field of tourism to meet the needs of the labour market and remain employable in an increasingly digital workplace. -To promote the project outcomes and motivate local communities, municipalities, workers and wide population interested in promoting tourism to utilise the open education resources -To promote lifelong learning attitudes and the supply of high quality learning opportunities adapted their concrete needsTarget group: local communities, municipalities, professionals in the tourist sector and people interested in promoting tourism and cultural heritage. The project will produce the following outcomes: IO1 – Skills and Competence profile of professionals in the field of tourism. Opportunities and challenges in local tourism development.IO2 – Design and development of the Course “Up-Skilling pathways for professionals in the field of tourism” containing three different modules: a) branding strategies for tourism promotion; b) entrepreneurial basics, c) sustainable tourism & promotion of cultural heritage.
