People and nature are already feeling the effects: water resources are shrinking, extreme weather events are increasing, forests are burning and damaging the ecosystem. The FINAL COUNTDOWN has begun in terms of the danger of environmental degradation from human activities. As conscious and responsible European citizens, we feel obliged to reverse this event before it is too late. With the right will and efforts, we can find better ways to live to keep the Earth as a thriving green planet. With this in mind, we have come together as 6 schools from Iceland, Turkey, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy and decided to implement this project. ""The Final Countdown"" project addresses the students who are 11-15 years old and 36 teachers from the participant schools. The objectives are to:-increase the awareness of climate change;-integrate climate change relevant themes sustainably into education in schools;-foster the exchange and share of experiences and good practices on climate change education among schools, -identify learning materials, on climate change education -increase the creation of and access to information and innovative solutions for education on climate change and sustainable development;-promote closer linkages between European schools -streghten the teaching competences of the teachers -improve the participants' ICT and language skills which are very important for their future careers.-increase the participants' tolerance to different cultures.-improve the participant's creative thinking and problem solving skills;90 students (15 from each partner school) will be directly involved in the project. 124 more students will take place in local activities of the project.36 teachers from various branches will improve their teaching competences by being trained on ESD to help their students understand the danger of climate change and how to mitigate and adopt it.Other students and teachers of the schools, parents and local institutions will be affected directly by being informed about the project.3 joint staff meeting events will be held throughout the project, in Turkey, Iceland and Portugal.Through staff training events participants will exhange good practice models to create new approaches in environmental education and give guidance for mainstreaming climate change education into school curricula by preparing teaching materials to use in classrooms.3 transnational pupils' exchanges will be organized in 3 partner schools, in Spain, Greece and Italy. During the exchanges the participants will work in groups and communicate in English which help them improve their linguistic skills develop their ICT skills using Web2 Tools, preparing presentations, videos, animations and using diagrams. They will do researches to get the knowledge. The activities will enhance the participants' creative thinking and problem solving abilities. They will also be aware of the climate change problem other countries face and learn to tolarate dfferent cultures by taking places in these exchanges. We will organize various events such as workshops, webinars, training days, contests, campaigns, national and European conferences etc. Thus we will increase the awareness of our target groups' on environmental problems. Through those activities our target people will acquire the necessary behaviors to reverse climate change.A mobile phone application about ecological footprint and climate change, a photogallery of the project activities, a brochure, the project website, a YouTube channel,18 teaching materials on environmental education, an eTwinning Project, 6 Surveys conveyed after each mobility and reports of their results, 2 booklets about global warming and experiments on it, a short film are the tangible results. The intangible results are raised awareness of climate change and its effects, improved teaching competences and exchanged good practices of the participant teachers, developed language and IT skills, raised tolerance towards different cultures, improved creative thinking and problem solving ability, a network between partner schools for next collaborations. Each school will organize conferences for other teaching staff in their regions to share their gainings through this project. Partner schools will keep contact to support each other with necessary materials created with the gainings of the “The Final countdown” Project. The teaching materials prepared by the participant teachers will be integrated in the school curriculum and will be used even after the project. They will also be downloadable on eTwinning and Erasmus+ project results platfom. The project social media channels will be active after the project ends. We believe this project will raise awareness among our target audience on combating climate change in order to become concious citizens to take action."

Federico García Lorca,GRADINITA CU PROGRAM PRELUNGIT NR. 8 BUZAU,Vrije Basisschool,Agrupamento de Escolas Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco,Sillaotsa SchoolFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2019-1-ES01-KA229-064800Funder Contribution: 81,772 EURTitle: Europe+Emotions=Inclusion.Be different, accept and learn… in a united Europe! Our Mission: Learning together promoting emotional education in European schools for an inclusive emotional well-balanced society. Our project objective is to impulse the development of social, civic and intercultural skills in a European dimension through emotional education. Every school has a totally different background and culture. Every school has a different approach to manage social problems to their children, students and teachers. How do they do that? Which school has experience on that subject? That will be our first step: learning from each other by visiting each school during the project. What is the vision of the school? What are the strengths of each member on that subject. How do they manage bullying? How do they learn their children to be tolerant European citizens in a world that is nowadays very divers? The project´s goal is to create a sustainable common approach realted to emotions management as a result of the learning process from each school’s line of work in their social context. This approach will lead to create a sustainable common line of action between all partners. It will lead to a positive school climate in which our students and teachers are coming ‘whistling to school’. We believe that emotional well-being is an essential prerequisite to lead to a society where they can learn which and from each other. A society where there is harmony between all participants. With this project, we intent to implement meaningful goals on the way we work with all members of the educational community. For this purpose, a set of outcomes is foreseen:- Creation and use of a Guideline of social skill management that is focused on the background of each school.- Creation and use of a Toolkit full of strategies and resources to use in favor of preserving harmony and a positive climate in our schools, - Creation of a positive climate in our schools which will lead to harmony between teachers and pupils.- Creation of online tutorials that can be used for all teachers in all educational stages we comprise, interested in achieving the objectives. In this joint idea, we will built a strong partnership between five kindergartens and schools from several European countries. Given that each partner is currently working in the field of emotional management to create a better school coexistence and inclusion. The partnership improves all partners’ competence complementing each another in pursuing the common goal. Each school´s strengths in emotions management, are opportunities of learning and improving for the rest. This partnership has been selected very carefully according to our realities, experiences and motivations, with a good strategy of common work and clear objectives. This is necessary in the context of each school. It is a Project with active participation of all the parties involved (students, teachers, families), which is necessary in the current (local and European) context. All activities will be planned together. We will follow the same strategies to achieve our objectives. Activities will be connected and will give each other a meaningful role in the development of the project. Each international and shared activity will be worked out and prepared with local activities. The use of the etwinning platform to communicate, participate, organize, and work together, is thoughtfully combined with international meetings and LTTs that are necessary to achieve a strong improvement in our action plan.Teachers mobility are planned to share and learn those good practices each partners has developed. Our students play an important role in this project. The students mobility planned offer them the internationalization and intercultural awareness as a strong pillar to implement the changes needed in our schools and in their equals. Students will learn by sharing and working with their international partners and experiencing different daily learning situations during their visits.A sustainable result of this project is to enrich each other to become a school where all participants accept each other. There will be an ongoing evaluation of the project by the coordinators, by the active participants, by students,... to ensure a well development and that it follows our project planning towards our objectives. The wider European educational community will benefit from the project through the dissemination and exploitation of the outcomes that each partner will carry out and through the project´s web-page in the teachers room and in the schools of their community.Together, educating in positive harmony for an inclusive well-balanced emotional society.

Federico García Lorca,3rd Elementary School of Eleftheria-Kordelio,2° Circolo Didattico Garibaldi,Grundschule an der Burg KloppFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-DE03-KA229-077421Funder Contribution: 69,263 EUR"In the present project we both intend to encourage and demand reading aid in communication, taking in and perfom information, documentation (also media-aided) examing facts and own thoughts and feelings as well as reflecting written statements of others. At the same time we want to have a close look at the pupils reading motivation. By interchanging their reading preferences, becoming aquainted with texts and customs from foreign countries (e.g. traditional fairy tales), trying out different methods of improving their personal reading skills and abilities, students learn that reading can be a pleasure. Further on, they will realize that practice, concentration, attent readiness and interest are essential for their own progress.Concerning the studens, the objectives of the project are mainly the developement of reading skills and abilities. Increasing reading motivation and to confirm reading comprehension. The students should realize that both, ability and readiness to read are important basic requirements for their own holistic development. Teachers' goals are to continue their (own) education are ""reading in class"", reflecting and evaluating their way fellow teachers from their partner schools (Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany). Thus all participants make profit from one another to improve the quality of their methods of teaching.During the project teaching examples or ideas from different partner schools are regularly contributed. They can be used for individual topics, e.g. reading methods, favourite literature fairy tales and then tried out and evaluated. At first, methods of reading practice are carried out and evaluated. The subject of fairy tales will also be handled with more comprehensiveness. In order to give pupils a framework in which they regard contents and thus make own impressions they may improve their personal reading skills in an interest-driven way. At least one fairy tale which is well known in all participating countries will be handled in terms of contents and language. So, through the interchange of typical fairy tales the children gain an insight into the culture of foreign countries.Throughout the entire project period, there is a lively interchange on various methods in order to improve reading skills so that both, teachers and pupils, will have a range of methods at their disposal. The individual methods will be handled in four phrases. 1. Theory (coming aquainted with the method) 2. Sitting in on classes (in which the respective method has already been introduced) 3. Implementation in the own class 4. Evaluation and reflection of the method by pupils and teachersIn the end, each participating school will have a wide selection of methods, addresses of cooperation partners in their home area, and concrete project opportunities. In an adapted form, they may be used to promote reading skills, reading abilities, and reading motivation. As a further result, there will be the ""fairy tale book"", which shall include traditional fairy tales from all participatin school as well as a travel diary as a result of the project mascot "" A bookworm on the road"".For the long term, participating in the project will support the development in the involved schools. Even after the conclusion of the project all teachers can have all the results of the project at their disposal, e. g. videos, photos, the method catalogne, read texts and so on. By getting to know each other cultures the children will become open minded towars cultural diversity."
