YES, We Care Too is a follow up of the YES, We Care project being implemented in partnership between countries from Europe and East Africa. While through it we aimed on educating young people on social entrepreneurship and empowering them on action in Europe and East Africa, now we focused on providing durable development of the social entrepreneurship initiatives and we expanded our activities in the region of South Africa. YES, We Care Too project’s general aims are in terms of promoting young people’s active engagement in the society, contributing to the quality development of employability and building youth’s life skills, as well as building the capabilities of civil society organizations in the youth field and social entrepreneurship. Via capacity building activities (contact-making seminars, training courses, etc.) the project´s priority was to increase the capacities of the youth organizations from Africa and Europe to embrace socio-political and economic diversity, to increase the potential for sustaining SE ecosystems and empower young people on active citizenship. Looking at the challenges holistically, facing the Forth Industrial Revolution and discussing the work skills of the future, the entrepreneurship has to be understood in the context of engagement and impact on the community, a tool not only for employment, but also for gaining life skills, strengthening one’s social responsibility, and developing empathy. Namely, this is what we wanted to achieve with our project Youth Empowerment through Social Entrepreneurship “We Care, Too”: YES “We Care, Too”, where together with our partners from two continents we have addressed the social entrepreneurship as a tool for self-employability, impact and empowerment. YES, We Care Too was inspired by the work of Mladiinfo in educating and empowering youth on social entrepreneurship, through different perspectives: using digital tools, boosting employability skills or raising awareness on solidarity and social responsibility. Already in the first edition of the project we had created the platform: www.socialinnovators.eu with up to now 66 presented social impact ideas, operating businesses, and relevant players in the social entrepreneurship (SE) ecosystem. Through the project trainings, we provided youngsters with know-how to spot impact ideas as well as to turn their ideas into business. In this second edition, we have continued to develop it further, adding the videos, learning materials and other relevant resources both for young entrepreneurs and youth organizations. YES, We Care Too is the intercontinental partnership building with a network of youth organizations: Young Africa with its branch offices in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia. A network of partners created a stable structure for project implementation and impact outreach, which added to the close partnerships previously developed by the European partners (Mladiinfo has cooperated with Social Impact Award on the first project edition, as well as on several other SE-related projects, it also cooperates with Risky Business on capacity-building KA2 project on mobile learning – mYouth). YES, We Care Too, spotlighted not only the social impact initiatives, but worked on their sustainability also by creating a network and community of young social entrepreneurs. The network has reached know-how on employability topic and youth, as well as stakeholder partnerships. The project was in line with the priorities of Erasmus + programme, EU Youth Strategy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in particular decent work and economic growth and industry, innovation and infrastructure.

Young Africa works for the empowerment of young people in Africa, especially for the disadvantaged and most vulnerable. SERVE focuses specifically on programmes and projects that help communities enhance the lives of children and young people and recognizes that gender equality is pivotal to achieving justice, equality and sustainable development. The project will use the expertise to build social inclusion, better employment opportunities and increase life-chances of young people who are marginalized. The Serve Young Africa Capacity Building programme has three key elements:• Training for Young Africa Centre Directors from each of the 5 partner countries in the area of Leadership and Management as well as safeguarding training. The purpose of this training is to build their capacity to meet the current and changing needs of some of the most marginalized and disadvantaged young people in the project areas. Young Africa has an excellent informal and non-formal learning environment that uses youth work methodologies to enhance young people’s learning in their chosen vocational course. • Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET) teachers play a key role in the non-formal learning environment. As part of the programme they will have training in approaches to youth work that will build skills and confidence in working with young people with limited educational opportunities. Small scale research examining the impact of the youth work methodology in the TVET training has demonstrated that it has significantly added value to young people’s ability to communicate with employers, articulate their own value and improve their employment opportunities.• An Access Course for Young People not yet able to apply for TVET training. Increasingly Young Africa wish to open opportunities for young people who do not meet the criteria for entrance to a TVET programme. The third element of the programme is an innovative pilot programme aimed at providing an access course utilizing youth work methodologies to build confidence, enhance skills, promote communication skills and prepare young people without formal qualifications for entrance into a non-formal leading to formal learning environment such as TVET.The programme will build on the knowledge and experience of the Programme Country (Ireland), the Partner Countries (Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Botswana). The project design will use innovative training and learning methods supporting exchange of best practice enhancing relationships across each of the partner countries. A variety of methods will be used to deliver the programme including Group Work, Technology Enhanced Learning as well as Practice Based Activities.A quality assurance/review and evaluation process will be written into the overall project to ensure needs are being met, to articulate impact, to identify areas for improvement and to share and celebrate the work.
