Scientific evidence shows that individuals who do sport are more likely to meet the recommendations for physical activity related to health. Ability of sports sector to affect physical activity levels tends to be underutilized & it is recommended to support local authorities and NGOs that promote/organize sport. We are trying to put EU Guidelines into action by educating more youth workers for quality envisioning/coordinating large-scale youth sport work events that thus contribute to increase participation in sports by more people and especially children/youth, mainstream and from marginalised groups. All partners involved are working actively in their countries on project topics and take this TC as a valuable opportunity to exchange among us, learn from and inspire each other. The 9 days long training course ""Coordinating large-scale youth sport work events for inclusion"" is the core activity of the project. It gathers 32 participants, trainers and staff members from 14 partner organisations from 11 countries (RS, AL, BA, ME, MK, TR, HR, SI, IT, CY, ES). Exposure to severe (cyber)bullying can affect not just how young people feel but also how they behave. The behavioural consequences of bullying others and being bullied include aggression, misbehaviour, irresponsible risk-taking, and the use of illegal substances. Bullied students are also more likely to develop negative expectations about the future. Besides dealing with bullying face-to-face, there is clearly also a role for online youth work practice, in terms of supporting digital literacy and enabling young people to deal with some of the associated risks in an online setting, like cyberbullying. The practice implications for youth workers lie in new competencies required and new forms of boundary maintenance in relationships with young people.Youth workers are in a unique position to promote healthy relationships among teenagers, intervene in instances of bullying and, with parents, help bullies and their victims learn how to re-build healthy relationships with their peers. Protecting children from abuse is the responsibility of all the adults in their lives, primarily parents and teachers. However, with youngsters visiting youth centres and youth clubs regularly, youth workers become also ones of those who have that responsibility for prevention of peer violence and (cyber)bullying among youngsters. Youth workers can reduce aggression and victimisation by creating a climate of support and empathy in and outside of the youth centres. With this project, we are answering to the needs defined by institutions, as well as the needs of our own youth workers and youngsters. We are promoting prevention of peer violence and (cyber)bullying among youth, empowerment of youth peer leaders to deal with the topic and the quality empowerment of our youth workers to be able to organise quality education of youth peer leaders, as well as active youth work for prevention of (cyber)bullying among youth.<< Objectives >>By further empowering youngsters to act as peer leaders and peer educators in prevention of bullying, youth workers are not only positively influencing the youngsters that visit their youth centres and/or online youth work activities, but also indirectly influencing other (non-organised) youngsters who do not get in touch with youth (work) organisations and youth centres/clubs, but do go to school and other activities with those youngsters who are trained as peer educators. This is the special added value how youth work can enrich endeavours and impact of schools/teachers on protection of youngsters from (cyber)bullying and on promotion of peer violence prevention.Project objectives are:-Empower youth workers and peer educators/leaders among marginalised youngsters for prevention of cyberbullying and peer violence among youth, through development of inspiring and innovative Curriculum, LTTA and the Online course for youth workers’ training.-Empower marginalised, discriminated and bullied youngsters in coping mechanisms and dealing with cyberbullying and peer violence, through innovative Toolkit with workshops for vulnerable youngsters.-Exchange good practices and further develop quality strategic partnership among partners from 3 European countries with different realities in regards to cyberbullying and youth peer violence prevention.<< Implementation >>Project activities are:-A1 – Project Management-M1 – Kick-off meeting-O1 – Toolkit for youngsters, peer educators/leaders on prevention of cyberbullying and peer violence among youth-M2 – Second meeting-O2 – Curriculum “Empowering youth workers and youth peer leaders for prevention of face-to-face peer violence among youth”-M3 – Third meeting-O3 – Online course for youth workers and peer educators “Empowering youth workers and youth peer leaders for prevention of cyberbullying among youth”-C1 - LTTA Training of trainers -E1, E2, E3 – Open conferences in RS, HR, DE-M4 – Evaluation meeting<< Results >>We expect following direct participants / beneficiaries of our project: -8 staff / project managers and assistants; -11 teachers/trainers/researchers, technicians working on the intellectual outputs;-12 youth trainers/workers trained as trainers for other youth workers on our LTTA;-15 multipliers youth workers that will test the outputs with at least 60 beneficiaries (20 per country) on local level and 20-30 youth workers;-90 participants of the multiplier events, local multipliers. The project directly will impact organisational capacities on providing youth work for prevention of peer violence and cyberbullying among youth. The youth workers and youth peer educators will improve their professional competences and will improve understanding of practices, policies and systems in prevention of cyberbullying peer violence among youth across the countries involved. With our intellectual outputs, we will influence the change and improvement of existing cyberbullying / peer violence prevention youth work methodologies and programmes, at first among partner organisations of the project, and later among partner of ours and their wider network of collaborators. We expect increase of youngsters’ willingness and competences in recognising and taking active stand in regards to prevention of youth peer violence and cyberbullying. Youngsters with fewer opportunities will benefit from the enlarged support tools and mechanisms in their communities for youth peer violence prevention and intervention. There will be more quality opportunities for bullied youngsters to develop their competences of coping with the stressful situations and increasing their satisfaction with life.

As all of the partners promote inclusion and intercultural acceptance in society, we are all concerned with the situation in our communities nowadays, with increase of the discrimination and intolerance. We believe that European level cooperation and youth sport work projects can contribute to improving the situation with acceptance of diversity among all parts of society, and especially youth. Sport actively shows young people that learning, trying new things, encountering new people, and stepping into new situations can be fun rather than a threat.Unfortunately, when trying to organise education of our youth workers in youth sport work before this project, the partners could not have found enough youth trainers experienced in the topic and principles of using sport activities as methods in NFE/youth work. That is why we have decided to develop and implement this project.Project aimed at: Building capacity of youth (work) organisations, their youth trainers and youth workers in NFE for youth SPORT work for intercultural dialogue and accepting diversity among youngsters in our communities and encouraging usage of sport and outdoor activities in youth work for acceptance of diversity.Project consisted of following activities:1. Online Skype preparation meeting in August 2018 (and regular Skype meetings throughout the project)2. Activity 1: Preparatory meeting, September 2018 in Serbia3. Activity 2 (Mobility activity): Training of trainers “Youth sport work for intercultural learning and acceptance of diversity”, with 25 participants (12 with fewer opp.) from RS, HR, MK, BA and IT; 16th till 25th November 2018, in Croatia4. Output 1: Guidebook with Curriculum; November/December 20185. Output 2: Booklet of youth sport work activities / games for ICL and acceptance of diversity; December 2018/January 20196. Activity 3: Local/National dissemination conference/workshops for youth workers and other stakeholders, March/April 20197. Activity 4 (Mobility activity): Evaluation meeting, with 20 participants (11 with fewer opp.) from RS, HR, MK, BA and IT; 22-27 April 2019 in Serbia8. Dissemination and reporting activitiesProject contributed to capacity building and knowledge management of partner organisations, and we hope that it will be useful also to other youth (work) organisations and respective youth workers and trainers. Project results contribute to developing sense of tolerance and understanding of diversity, not only among participants, but also among further beneficiaries of different youth sport work activities (with mainstream and marginalised groups) that will be lead and managed by participants of this project activities.
