The statistics show that the effect of aging will be difficult to eliminate after the year 2020. Numerous authors indicate that among the initiatives implemented in the Member States should be those relating to an extension of the retirement age as well as to introduction of legislative solutions facilitating the employment of people over 50. On the other hand, numerous surveys exploring the attitude of employers towards the employees aged 50 + point out that people in this age group are seen as unable to deal with the changing reality, basing their professional activities on a routine only and being reluctant to innovation. Respondents point to a lack of key competences among which are: poor knowledge or lack of knowledge of foreign languages, poor computer literacy and unwillingness to raise qualifications, which results in having obsolete skills. The reluctance of mature workers to change, and their lack of interest in further training translate into the difficulty in taking full advantage of their potential. Consequently, their work is inefficient and does not bring measurable benefits to the employers. All that has contributed to a recognition that adult learning and lifelong learning strategies should play a key role in the policies for social inclusion, competitiveness and employability. At the same time the benchmark target for adult participation in lifelong learning across the EU established by the Council at 15% by 2020 is far from being reached. It shows how much there is yet to be done.We addressed the project to two target groups. The first one involves training staff, coaches and training organizers in adult education from 4 partner countries: Poland, Italy, Germany and Czech Republic. The choice of both project participants and participating partner organisations is made in the way that ensures a variety of perspectives, which are supposed to provide fruitful experience exchange as well as a comprehensive view and approach to the development of the project results. The other target group consists of people aged 50+ as a disadvantaged social group of people who while left on their own would be exposed to social and professional exclusion due to their age and low qualifications. The main objective of the project was to develop innovative methods of reintegration and activation of people aged 50 +. It involves the following measures: targeting this special social group, recognition of their barriers, needs and expectations, recognition of key competences, breaking the barriers associated with age, often worse state of health, anxiety, alienation, a sense of “being behind the today's world"", etc., motivation to take up new challenges, encouraging lifelong learning, and teaching foreign languages and basic ICT better adjusted to elderly needs and possibilities. Innovative solutions in adult education are especially important also for the reason that the previous actions targeted in particular at the unemployed in this age group did not deliver the expected results. In spite of special support designed for people aged 50+ (e.g. strategic criteria in ESF based projects) there are no explicit methodologies of dealing with the process of motivating and training. Numerous preferences at the stage of recruitment facilitating the participation of the elderly in these projects often do not translate into the expected results (trainings interruptions, not keeping pace with curricula, not taking exams, worse exam pass rate, etc.).The impact of our project on this target group will be of a long-term nature contributing to more efficient process of encouraging lifelong learning and in result, extending the period of professional activity. The developed solutions related to active ageing are also expected to reawaken self- esteem, feeling of being needed and the desire to live fully in older people. The psychological aspect is an important part of the whole process which in the long run will lead to a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment. An important result of the project was also include the improvement of competence of project participants through the exchange of experience with international partners as well as staff training and workshops. Jointly developed solutions will be checked in practice during the testing period provided in project and a guide including recommendations and guidelines for the implementation and application of the new methodologies is available for the general public. In view of the universality of the issue of too short period of professional activity in Europe the positive impact of the project will be visible at all levels: local, regional and European level. Methodologies and good practices developed within the project will be implemented on an ongoing basis in partner institutions and disseminated on the outside."

Exchange of good practices in supporting the development of personal and social competences and learning skills as well as increasing social inclusion of disadvantaged people"" is a project implemented by 5 adult non-professional education organizations from countries: Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Turkey and Spain. It is based on the exchange of good practices between psychologists and art instructors from each participating organization. Knowledge, skills and attitudes of developing personal, social and learning competences are exchanged. Competences are also developed to increase the social inclusion of disadvantaged people. The above interactions are conducted by the psychologist + art instructor duo during 10 different - creative, artistic and psychological - workshops:- making jewelry from pearls, stones and other natural materials- making scented candles and simple cosmetics from natural ingredients- decoupage, painting on glass, decorating with torn paper- creative digital photography with the use of smartphones- creative writing: poetry- moodboard-based graphics- crocheting and knitting- carpet weaving- embroidering- macrame plaiting. The project involves 60 women aged 55+ with secondary or less education in the each partner organization, who, as a result of various factors related to the pandemic (e.g. reduction in employment, end of employment, increased emotional tensions in the family or work environment, etc.) experienced breakdown, powerlessness and / or helplessness. In the described group of participants, the primary area requiring support is the development of personal cross-sectional competences (mainly in terms of identifying emotions and expressing them, as well as strengthening the mental structure and the potential to cope with difficulties). The secondary need of the above-mentioned group is the development of social and learning skills. The above-mentioned project activities are complemented by the educational mobility of participants, led by the slogan of European values. In addition to classes for participants, the project also includes training for educators conducting the classes. First as part of the mobility, and then once a month on-line. Also important in the project are the implementation and dissemination activities both between partners and outside the participating organizations. The goals of the project are:- carrying out the above-mentioned classes in the above-mentioned target group and exchange of good practices between partners in these fields- mobility of trainers and project participants- testing the effectiveness of these activities- making a publication containing: program, scenarios and methodological guidelines as well as a discussion of selected cases - ""Program for the development of personal, social and learning skills in adult women using creative, artistic and psychological activities""- thanks to cooperation as well as joint training programs of trainers, etc. the staff in our organizations will be prepared for implementation (and permanent implementation) to the offer of our organizations classes according to the above-mentioned program- disseminating the program outside the partnership, with particular emphasis on its pilot implementation in min. 1 cultural institution from the environment of each organization (staff training and support in implementation). The following results are expected at the end of the project:- permanent and noticeable increase in the above-mentioned cross-sectional competences of min. 85% of participants in each partner organization- permanent and noticeable increase in social inclusion of min. 95% of participants in each partner organization- increasing awareness of European values: respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rights of people belonging to minorities of 85% of the project participants- development of professional competences of 4 psychologists and 4 art instructors in each organization (trainers participating in the project)- each partner organization, after the end of the project, will implement in its educational offer min. 4 workshops (2 previous ones plus at least 2 selected from those conducted by partner organizations)- transfer of knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired during the project, min. 2 more psychologists and min. 2 more art instructors- publication of the above-mentioned ""Program ..."" in 5 native languages and in English- material results from classes - min. 120 works of art in each organization- increasing the English language skills of participants, educators, members of project management teams- training of adult education staff (at least 1 cultural institution from the environment of each partner organization) to implement the program with at least 1 workshop. Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the world. The world is warming day by day. It is impossible for natural life and humans to adapt to this rapid change. According to data from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a temperature rise of 1.5°C could lead to the extinction of 20-30% of species. If the temperature rise exceeds 2°C, many ecosystems may come to an end. (www.ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/)The European Green Deal seeks to involve people, communities and organizations in tackling the climate crisis and creating a green order. Although its sphere of influence is limited to Europe, the efforts of Europe to become carbon-neutral by 2050 will affect the whole world. The presence of 12 legal regulations in the articles of the agreement and the existence of sanctions for the countries that have commercial relations with Europe will take the fight against climate change forward. In this direction, it is aimed to reduce the carbon emissions of the European continent by 55% until 2030. (ec.europa.eu/clima/eu-action/european-green-deal_en)Therefore, the main purpose of the project is to raise awareness among the guidance teachers and guide the our students, who are the adults of the future, and to involve them in the fight against the climate crisis. Supporting the green transformation of educational content, learning about the investment and career opportunities created by the European Green Deal's Just Transition Mechanism principle will expand the field of action of teachers and strengthen them. In addition, the big green changes that the European Green Deal targets will create in the sectors show that job descriptions, career goals and entrepreneurship understanding will also change. It will be an important step for counselors to adopt climate goals, add environmental equipment to their profession, and guide students towards green career goals. Through this Project students will have an opportunity from young their age to be equipped with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to address green deal transformation and prepare themselves for the green jobs of the future. Even today, young people and children appear as important figures in the fight against the climate crisis and can mobilize global organizations. Finally, Poland, which produces more than 70% of its energy production with fossil fuels, is the European country that needs this change the most. Therefore, it will be a real hope for the future for teachers and students to adapt to change before it is too late.<< Objectives >>School teachers are the key to reaching European Green Deal aims. They play central role in engaging students for behavioral changes However, teachers need to upgrade their knowledge and skills, and enhance their teaching methodologies to quide students on the green deal transformation process. In line with this information, the target groups of the project are guidance teachers, other trainers and students as final beneficiaries. Because teachers are the ones who can create change, raise awareness, put ideas into practice and influence students in the short term. In the long term, it is students who will shape the entire future. Within this context, the overall objective of our project is to build a capacity in secondary education on the European Green Deal and prepare students for their future “green” careers. Specific objectives are -To enhance guidance teachers’ capacity on environment and climate change and green skills so that they can support and guide students on European green deal transformation. -To create leaders among the target groups who will defend the green future-To promote an environmentally friendly mindset among school students -To raise the awareness of the teachers, students and families within the scope of the European Green Deal.<< Implementation >>The activities of the project are prepared in order to achieve the objectives and results of the project and to achieve the expected effects. Project activities will be discussed under five headings. These activities are the production of project results, Transnational Meetings, Multiplier Events and dissemination, Eco Career Days and Green Ideas Exhibition.Within the scope of the project, three project results will be produced. The first project result will be the Green Career Guide. The guide will include guidance teachers and students. In this way, the two most important elements in school education will meet with ecological goals. Teachers who use the Green Career Guide and participate in other project activities will find that they can add new dimensions to their profession. They will step out of their professional habits and take part in a movement initiated for the fight against climate change and the future of the world. This will increase their leadership skills and enable them to become stronger as equipment. In this way, they will be able to guide students towards European Green Deal goals and grounded career plans. Students using the green career guide will gain important awareness about the climate crisis. They will learn the necessary ecological information to save the world they live in and they will turn into eco individuals. In addition to correcting their own habits, they will harmonize their career plans with the sector thanks to the guide. They will be able to build their future realistically by learning concepts such as green career, eco-entrepreneurship and green collar. In short, target groups will become eco-individuals by increasing their ecological literacy. Finally, the guide will present roadmaps for a school to become carbon-neutral.The Green Age Platform will be the driving force for users to switch to an ecological life and learn about their carbon footprints. It will enable students to participate in more job opportunities, international events and climate activities. Because announcements will be posted on the platform frequently. Access to developments and news about climate change will be easier. The level of digital literacy will increase. Scientific aspects of the climate crisis will be learned. In this way, information pollution and myths will be prevented. Thanks to the platform, users will be able to overcome geographical and economic barriers that they can meet. With magazine, the last of the project results, awareness of paper waste will be increased. This will indirectly be a good step against problems such as environmental pollution, energy consumption and deforestation. People will find that other recycled materials besides paper can also be used for print.Transnational Meetings will increase the quality of the production of project results, monitoring and evaluation activities, budget and time management, communication and coordination processes. Multiplier Events and dissemination efforts will increase the impact of the project to much higher levels than anticipated. In this way, the project will reach the goals of the European Green Deal and affect many people ecologically.Eco Career Days and Green Ideas Exhibition will enable many students to be reached concretely. All of the project objectives will become concrete in these activities to be held under physical conditions. During career days, students will be directed to green jobs and meet face-to-face with representatives of green collar and eco-entrepreneurship. In this way, they will understand the seriousness of the changes in the sector and make future plans. The Green Ideas Exhibition will not compete with children but will value all ideas. In this way, students' self-confidence, motivation, participation, soft skills and active citizenship will develop. Students will learn to step into things without fear.<< Results >>The project is about the climate crisis, which concerns the whole world and has a global public opinion, and reducing carbon emissions to zero. Especially European countries have started to work in every field to reduce carbon emissions to zero. Therefore, the project will produce various outputs and activities to contribute to the European Green Deal goals (especially in the field of school education). These outputs and activities will produce tangible results. During and after the project, it is expected that other results such as awareness of climate change, organization to fight climate crisis, development of soft skills will occur.Expected results:- Career guides in line with the European Green Deal targets will be produced for school counselors and students.- The career guide will contain important information on sectors that are undergoing great change. This information will be information such as at what points the change is and what the innovations are. In this way, students will be able to shape their future according to the green order.- Counselors will be able to add concepts such as eco-entrepreneurship, green collar, green industry, clean transportation, renewable energy to their profession thanks to the career guide. In this way, they will be able to make their profession interesting and gain new equipment and qualifications.- A digital platform (Green Age Platform) will be created where information on environmental pollution and climate change is included, and news of the European Green Deal and other environmentalist movements are shared. This platform will include business opportunities for green careers and academic texts that will eliminate information pollution. Users (especially the target groups of the project) will be able to add content, comment and create events.- The Green Age Platform will provide students with a space to act on the digital platform. For counselors, it will be a new channel through which they can reach students.- As the users of the Green Age Platform increase, students from different cultures, languages, geography and economic levels will come together for the same purpose. Counselors will also meet their colleagues and increase their level of relationship and communication.- During and after the project, Eco Career Days will be held with the participation of sector representatives, managers of private and public institutions. During the career days, people from the sector will directly tell the students about the sectors, green business and career fields, eco-entrepreneurship, and the new order that started to take place with the European Green Deal. In this way, the information to be conveyed by the guidance teachers will become concrete.- All of the partner institutions will ask their students for ecological business ideas and project drafts on the work to be done for the transition to the green order. These ideas will be displayed at the Green Ideas Exhibition after the project. In this way, students' soft skills and active citizenship will develop and their self-confidence will increase.- Positive contributions will be made to digital literacy level and foreign language proficiency.- During and after the project, a magazine will be produced covering the topics of the European Green Deal, reducing the carbon footprint to zero, combating the climate crisis, and an ecological life guide. This magazine will be prepared with recycled materials and in a virtual environment. The use of recycled materials will create effective awareness. Magazine will be published every three months and its sustainability will be ensured. In particular, interviews and studies of sector representatives and eco-entrepreneurs who have started the green change will be included.- Partner institutions will learn the practices in other countries in the field of school education and combating climate change. In this way, they will be able to work for the areas where they are insufficient.

Innovative supporting tools"" is a response of institutions operating in the ""Adult education"" sector to the needs of people struggling with the negative effects of the pandemic. It changed the way of life for all people on earth. A large part of Europeans had to limit their social contacts, adapt to new ways of working, but most of all - they struggled with stress due to their own illness, illness of close people, and often also the tragedy of losing relatives and friends. At the time of this project, Europe was recovering from the third wave of the pandemic, vaccination was carried out - which caused anxiety in many adults, and there was a gradual reduction of preventive restrictions. However, our life was still largely online. The organizations participating in this project analyzed all the factors described above and conducted research on the needs of adult Poles, Slovaks, Latvians, Portuguese and Spanish (500 people in each country, 250 F and 250 M), paying attention to aspects related to their mental and physical well-being . Our research on a group of 2,500 people showed that people aged 50+ most need support in returning to mental balance and physical health. As institutions dealing, inter alia, with non-professional and non-formal adult education, we have developed a solution that we want to address to all adults, especially people aged 50+ who seek support in regaining physical and mental well-being, using educational activities. We will use a medium that has irretrievably become a permanent element of our lives - the Internet. As part of this project, we will create an online platform in the following languages: English, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Latvian and Slovak, as part of open educational resources, with an open license enabling the general public to use, reuse, adapt and share these resources, with the possibility of developing further language versions. The platform will include:- a minimum of 10 e-learning courses (4 courses using various forms of caring for physical condition: zumba, yoga, ""Healthy spine and joints"" program, strength and endurance training; healthy cooking and baking as the basis of our health; mindfulness course - ways of regaining balance; a course of living in harmony with nature; 2 DIY courses using various techniques; Internet communication course for health and mental balance ""Express yourself online""),- a channel with advice on, among others: coping with stress, coping with other negative emotions, safe search for social contacts on the Internet, safe use of the Internet, effective communication (also on-line) and others;- the function of on-line (real-time) participation in free educational (non-professional) classes for adults in our organizations - in the blended learning model,- a library of internet addresses providing free on-line access to: cultural events (e.g. theater performances), works of culture (e.g. galleries, online museums), meetings of interest groups, support groups, etc.We are convinced that this tool will respond to the needs of many adults, especially people aged 50+ who are struggling with the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in their lives. What's more, we see another potential in this tool - reaching a huge number of people with forms of non-formal education, who until now, due to various limitations - e.g. geographic or financial - could not use it. Therefore, the project has the potential to contribute to the inclusion of many people in non-formal adult education who have not been able to benefit from it so far.<< Objectives >>Through the implementation of the project, we want to create a tool - an on-line platform and reach our target group: adults, especially people aged 50+, suffering from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We intend to develop, test and commission a multi-tool available on-line, which:- it will allow to respond to the diagnosed today and diagnosed in the future needs of adults affected by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially to provide the aforementioned group of recipients with real help in improving their mental and physical condition,- will allow a significant increase in the number of people with fewer opportunities who will benefit from non-formal adult education in the countries participating in this project, and in the longer term also in other countries.Through the implementation of the project, we also want to develop the skills of adult education staff in our organizations, increase the potential and importance of our institutions, develop our potential for international cooperation and develop the cooperation of partners conducting non-professional adult education.<< Implementation >>To achieve what we described above, we plan to:1) conduct classes in a mixed mode for 6 semesters in each organization participating in the project (50% of participants physically present, 50% on-line) for 2 groups of 25 people each (in each group, about half of the participants in a full-time mode and half on -line); the classes will be aimed at people who would like to find a solution to the problems they face as a result of the pandemic through the implementation of educational activities; the classes will concern:--- ways of caring for physical condition: 1) zumba, 2) yoga, 3) ""Healthy spine and joints"" program, 4) strength and endurance training;--- healthy and tasty cooking and baking as the basis for the health of body and spirit;--- mindfulness - techniques for regaining balance;--- (returning to) living in harmony with nature;--- relaxation through ""do it yourself"" classes, using various techniques of work - from wood to strings to ceramics;--- communication on the network (Internet) for health and mental balance, 2) by conducting the above courses, enable adult’s educators to gather experience in conducting classes in the blended learning model3) by conducting the above-mentioned classes and, through the cooperation of adult education staff from our institutions, lead to the creation of a minimum of 10 e-learning courses for self-learning by the student (if possible, also those that will meet the assumptions for MOOC courses) 4) build an internet platform, post the above-mentioned functions and content, make it available for use by the students participating in the project and conduct a trial implementation, examining the strengths and weaknesses of the tool and making appropriate adjustments 5) at the beginning of the 6th semester, organize an event in each participating organization to disseminate the results of the project, ie the platform: present the assumptions about the ADULTSAFTERCOVID.EU platform; the event will take the form of a physical conference and broadcast online at the same time 6) after the conference - start to use of the platform on a large scale in the sixth semester of the project7) collect feedback from platform users, introduce corrections, at the end of the project, give the final form of the platform for wide use as part of open educational resources, with an open license enabling the general public to use, reuse, adapt and share these resources, with the possibility of developing subsequent language versions, 8) after the end of the project - the use of the platform by each organization to conduct classes, supplementing it with new results created by our organizations, making it available for development in subsequent language versions, making it available for use by other institutions of non-professional adult education.<< Results >>Based on the potential that - paradoxically - is left behind by the COVID-19 pandemic, and which we see in the transfer of a large part of the activity to the on-line zone, we want to reach adults in the countries participating in the project, as well as adults who speak English, with online educational tools aimed at:- improving the mental and physical well-being of people, especially those aged 50+, struggling with the negative effects of the pandemic- inclusion of adults in non-formal, non-professional education and awakening in them the willingness to use this form of development throughout their lives- creating new education channels - using not only e-learning, but also blended learning- inclusion of people with fewer opportunities (for economic, social, cultural, geographical, health, ethnic, disability, learning or any other reasons) in non-professional, non-formal education and real learning opportunities, that is development, throughout life.According to the title of the project - we want to create tools to assist adults in returning / starting education and improving their quality of life after the COVID-19 pandemic. The quantitative results assumed by us are the regular use of the platform by at least 2,000 adults in each of the following countries: Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Portugal, Spain during the last four months of the project and a steady increase in this number after the end of the project. The material results are a minimum of 10 courses based on on-line self-education, a channel with various tips, a tool for participation in e-learning / blended learning, a library of internet addresses giving free on-line access to: cultural events (e.g. theater performances), works culture (e.g. galleries, online museums), meetings of interest groups, support groups, etc.The next effects of the project will be new competences of adult education staff in our organizations, increasing the quality and importance of our organizations' activities, developing and strengthening our partner net, increasing the international character of our activities."
