INCHIPE addresses the needs of third partner countries (Chile and Peru) to foster the internationalisation of its Universities (HEI). Its main objectives are: to increase the capacities of non-European countries (NEC) HEI in international cooperation, to contribute to the improvement of international networking; and increase and exploit the potentials in Teaching, Learning & Research (TLR).The activities within the project foresee the strengthening of strategic, infrastructure and human capacities in the 4 HEI of NPE as a model for the development and modernisation of institutional management of internationalisation in NEC.Specific objectives will be achieved through carefully planned actions at an institutional, national and multi-regional level, including the implementation of training and strategic infrastructure; comparative studies and the development of National Recommendation to boost internationalisation in TLR; the creation of a best practice book for HEI on how to improve International Relations policies and management. These actions will be complemented throughout the project life by dissemination and networking activities, including National Roundtables, seminars, networking conferences and a multi-regional educational fair. The consortium includes 8 institutions, of which 3 are European HEI with a vast experience in internationalisation and 4 are HEI in NEC that face challenges on the development of internationalisation strategies. The Project also foresees a library gateway, the creation of Strategic Development Plans for HEI of NEC and the testing of products through cooperation and a pilot mobility framework. The results will be easily transferrable at a regional, national and international level.

Advances in ICTs are opening up new opportunities that impact teaching & learning (T&L) methods in Higher Education (HE). An increasing reliance on “blended models” combining elements of face to face & online modalities in different proportions is emerging, which subsequently have transformed the roles of teachers, students & universities. Despite this wave of innovation over the last decade, many universities around the world are not yet ready for this change and fully prepared for e-learning. For instance, traditional HE’s model in Latin America is still predominant: face to face learning represents 65% of its HE offer.InnovaT aims to modernise HE, enhancing innovation in T&L experiences by promoting the integration of new pedagogies and technologies in LA HEIs; equipping teachers and students with relevant skills for the digital transformation of HE and society worldwide.Expected results & Impact envisaged:• Enhanced teaching capacities in innovative T&L pedagogies and digital skills by delivering training in blended model, combining face to face teacher training with MOOCs and E-learning;• Modernised technical infrastructure of LA HEIs by creating, equipping and putting in operation the InnovaT offices (Innovative Teaching offices): to offer state of art tools to develop digital learning content as well as counseling services on the topic of innovative T• Increased HE-Enterprise cooperation and students learning experience by developing Pilot Classes with real projects with entrepreneurs, preparing the students for innovative thinking in “real life” contexts;• Greater awareness and reach of high-quality training material & publications by providing access to Open Educational Resources and E-Learning to regional and international academic community;• Extended networks between Europe and Latin America, and among Latin American neighbor countries in the topic of teaching & learning innovation by organizing an open International E-Conference.

Democratisation of HE in LA has helped to ensure a growing trend of increasing enrolment of students with disability, although it is still not significant enough in terms of potential numbers (Mexico: disabled people access in HE lower than 5%, Chile: 6,6% from which, only 2,66% complete their studies, Argentina: disabled students represents 0,08% of the students population). The adaptation of HE to cater for disability is of major importance from an economic, political and social point of view. Only through this can the employability of disabled persons be enhanced, and public policies focusing on the promotion of work, income security, poverty prevention and social exclusion can be supported. In this context, Chile, Argentina and Mexico goverments and HEIs have taken some measures to provide the necessary legal frameworks for the inclusion of disabled students within society however there are enormous voids between the law, public policies, and actual practices. The MUSE project proposal “Disability and Modernity: Ensuring Quality Education for Disabled Students” is an ambitious initiative with a wide range of stakeholders, activities and operational goals to cope with complex challenges. Taking into account the substantial expertise and advancement in this domain in recent years by European universities, the project aims to raise awareness on inclusive education through exchange of good-practices between EU and LA HEIs. The main objective constitutes the development of a sustainable knowledge base and support structure allowing for a coherent implementation of disability initiatives, and directional strategic plans in LA HEIs. A network will engage stakeholders in an educational and social discussion for the inclusion of disabled students in HEIs and a new external relation framework will be created to facilitate their economic integration.

Its main objectives have been: -Modernising and improving the services provided by Latin American HEIs to support social and educational inclusion. -Providing the different university stakeholders (Academic and non-academic staff, Governmental bodies, etc.) with the requested tools for students’ upskilling to favour their inclusion in a university context. The consortium was composed of 11 institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Italy, Portugal, Germany, and Spain. All partners were committed to guarantee an everlasting cooperation that has been particularly ensured by the official creation of the SOLIDARIS Network, and the arrangement of multiple bilateral cooperation agreements at governance, research and academic level. The project has been led by University of Seville, technically coordinated by its Department of Social Pedagogy. The main project outcomes of the project were:-Definition of a common framework of 6 key competences for educational, social and labour inclusion of students. -State of play of each involved university with regards the accomplishment of measures to guarantee the acquisition of the abovementioned key competences for inclusion. -Development and testing of a self-assessment tool of students’ competences.-Design of a training pathway to support those students -Development of an online platform to ensure the sustainability and transferability of the training developed. -Creation of the Trainers’ guideline to deliver the training (Available also online). -Training for teaching and non-teaching staff involved on students’ inclusion processes.- Establishment of permanent offices in LA HEIs to give support to all University community to enhance inclusion. -Creation of an international network about social inclusion in a university context that will facilitate a space for debate, reflexion and development of common proposals. -International Publication about Inclusive Universities with contributions from all partners’ HEIs. -Modernisation of some University equipment addressed to the Community Support Offices. Even though the COVID 19 pandemic was an obstacle to finalise some activities, organizing face to face events and allowing partners to travel, it was also an opportunity to reach other results, such as: -Reaching a bigger and more international audience through the organization of virtual training and dissemination activities. -Reinforcing the online platform (WEBQUEST) and the interaction among trainees. -Raising awareness of the importance of digitalisation as other key aspect to guarantee a full inclusion at university. -Creation of an International online Congress about Inclusive Universities (CIUIS).

LATWORK project aims to create innovative research structures and Research Centres in the field of informal jobs and informal economy in Latin American HEIs.Latin American HEI, and particularly research staff, are requiring better resources and methodologies to develop research capacities to go forward in the analysis and knowledge of the endogenous phenome of informality in the labour market. There are several scientific and social motivations that are currently drawing the attention of HEI to the matter of informal in the labour market:(1) the multidisciplinary character of the topic, (2) the scientific motivation to overcome the difficulties to capture the informal labour market situations due to the lack of accurate methodologies (3) regular failures of small research efforts & statistical operators in definition, capturing and measuring the extent of informal jobs(4) the growing academic interest demonstrated from several knowledge areas of social science(5) the effects of this type of “labour relations”, far away from decent work definitions, on people livesHowever, research staff at Latin American HEI are dealing day to day with the barriers and limitations that mean the lacks of research resources, networking inputs, innovation capacity to create projects, and sources of high quality data, that keep down any capacity to lead research and analyses in the field of informal jobs and informal economy. As a result, the leadership of the majority of the research initiatives in this field are always dipped to external research operators no always qualified in the multidisciplinary scope and scientific culture.LATWORK is targeted at the development of the HEI innovation and research capacities to:Upgrade the research leadership role of HEI in the field of informal jobs and informal economy.Transfer high quality of research outputs in this field.Raise de commitment of researchers, academics and policy makers with the research on informal labour market.
