In this context, the ""CHECK"" project had for main objective to show young people that this cultural heritage is very varied, that it crosses the ages, that it is not confined to the borders of the countries and that it can be interesting. . The ""CHECK"" project put the Arts in general and the Performing Arts in particular at the service of cultural heritage to promote it to young people. Our project was reinforced on different types of cultural heritage common to the cities of Toulouse, Calamonte and Turin in connection with the performing arts and the traces they generate (Greco-Roman archeology, films, music, opera, theater, puppets , circus, street arts…) but can be expressed in different ways. Each group, comprising students from the three countries, worked on a given heritage. This has been highlighted through small plays staged objects or monuments related to this heritage. These were then filmed and integrated into video montages comprising the play and real, technical and historical information on the elements staged. These media are distributed via the Internet to a very large audience. In the first part of the project, we crossed our own teaching strategies and tools to make young people aware of cultural heritage. Each of these meetings was also an opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in schools and in families, which made it possible to promote cultural and linguistic exchanges in French, English, Spanish and Italian. In a second part of the project, the contributions of our museums, theaters and cultural associations in the (cultural) sector enabled the students to enrich their knowledge on common themes as well as on artistic or technical jobs in these fields (actor, screenwriter , archaeologist, sound technician, lighting technician, etc.), to broaden their career guidance perspectives, to consider jobs at a European level and to boost relations with professionals from the three partner countries, both for girls and for boys. Interdisciplinary work was the key vector of all these actions and made it possible, beyond the target classes, to involve all the actors of the participating schools, by showing the importance of the cross contributions of the various school disciplines [literary (texts ancient, history…), linguistic, economic (jobs, cost of film…), technical (lighting, shooting…) or scientific (dating of objects, research…)]. A transversal dimension was also addressed through media and information education, work on language (oral and written) as well as the use of digital media."

At present European countries are witnessing a revival in musical talent shows on TV. This shows us that there is still a demand for Young Talents to express themselves in Music. Our project tries to improve their musical, social and digitals skills.* United Schools in Music (USM) is multilingual. We will encourage language learning through the use of four languages with our project dictionary.* USM is a motivator. Because of the possibility of travelling, large scale performances, media coverage and our project DVD students will be attracted to play in a school band. * USM is united. The project actively brings together students from very different parts of Europe and encourages communication in all project languages. We will also include students with low study skills in our project. Teamwork across borders and the use of online Tools, like e-Twinning will increase a variety of skills. * USM is visible and audible. Due to its outcomes (a DVD, online repository for sheet music, website and multilingal participants presentation) the project's ideal and performances can be easily disseminated and therefore reach and touch many other students, schools and communities. We will also produce a set of project results, tailored for the use inside schools: We will compose a project song. All students are invited to bring in their creativity and music talent. We will put special emphasis on the lyrics. They should encourage the students to express their thoughts about culture, livestyle and social issues. This project song and background information will be recorded and published via Internet and DVD. We will also produce multilingual participants presentations with detailed Information about the participating countries/schools including general information, school system, history, music and arts, social life, etc. We will bring all sheet music, including music and video samples of our project participants online. This repository will be taylored for school bands and their needs. The concept of encouraging students with low study skills is nowadays more important than ever. We will gain experience on hot to include these students inside the project. All project results, photos, videos and lessons learned will be published on e-Twinning and Erasmus Plus project result platform, school websites and local press. Our project addresses the topicscreativity and culture: Meeting other project participants from different countries, composing and recording Songs, using different languages is one of the best creativity Boosts we can offer our Young students and teachersEarly school leaving, combaiting failure in education. We will try our best to better understand students with low study skills in order to correct failures in education, open their minds for an open Europe and thus Prevent them from leaving school (too) early. Our objectives support our selected priorities:Especially students with low study skills are in danger of leaving School (too) early. Our Concept will help us to better support these special students in future. Using modern ICT-Tools in a multinational project in a real environment is the best way to really understand the meaning and use of innovative practices in a digital era. All project participants will be suported to learn basic skills during the project. From technical to social, even language skills will be aquiring and developed. All the results will be sustain remarkable for all project participants and the school members during the project and after project end.

Global warming is serious issue, so is many other environmental issues such as ecosystem degradation. The issue is very relevant as our youth is getting more aware of the environmental crisis we are facing. We want to build on that interest and provide the young generation an opportunity to learn how to take care of their land. They also need to believe that they can have impact on the issue so that our children in the future can protect their land and also find ways to live in it.We will share knowledge between different European countries about how the challenges on land care are different. But still the task is combined, it´s about taking care of our land and our planet, it´s about our ecosystem, it´s about sustainable development. We will also learn about how our land is important to job creation, economic growth and social cohesion. At last we will get the opportunity of going abroad and seeing and feeling the way of living in other European countries. Living in others homes, eating their food, made by their land, feeling the landscape and learning about the geology is important factor. In the visit to Iceland we will focus on fighting against desertification and importance of using land responsibly. Also on how the harsh nature in Iceland affect land. In Iceland we will also learn about green energy use, why it´s possible in Iceland to produce hot water and electricity from use of water. We will cooperate with the The Soil Conservation Service of Iceland .In the visit to Portugal we will focus on reforesting after wood fires. Why wood fires happen and how it´s possible to grow plant ourselves to plant in the land. As the school already has a greenhouse where they already grow plants to do this it will provide a learning opportunity. We will cooperate with RAIZ - Forest and Paper Research Institute and gain knowledge about solution for the forest based bio economy. In Finland we will have the approach of the forest industry, paper and turf and how it affects our living environment especially swamps and the insects. We will learn how the insects are important for the ecosystem. We have a teachers teaching in Oulu Education Services about those things so he will held a small seminar for the teachers when in Oulu. In Spain we will learn about the coal mines, how they use to be and why they closed down in Northern Spain. We will also learn about abandonment of the agricultural and cattle industry and how this affects the people living in the area. This will demonstrate how the issue is complicated and what is good for the environment can be a real challenge in people lives. Fundación de Reserva de la Biosfera Alto Bernesga and Ayuntamiento de La Pola de Gordon will be working with us. In Lithuania the focus will be on preserve the peatlands and wet forests. How the ecosystem in peatlands and wet forests are and how we the men are part of the nature and responsible of taking care of it. In France the focus will be on living from the land in the mountains. How to grow food responsible and importance of using food that grows near you. We will visit responsible farmers that grows food in eco friendly way and learn about the culture of buying fresh products and markets in France. We will also learn about the impact of pollution and what we can do to fight that threat. This project will open a new window. Window into other countries, who are also struggling to take care of their land. This will get a sense in each school that our land not only belongs to our own country but to a community of European countries. We own the planet together their problems are our problems and we can help each other. The outcome of the project will be learning and sharing. It will be learning for the participants who travels and their families but also for the school community. The knowledge will be shared, it will be documented, we will have a portfolio - a project´s web site, the teachers in the schools will learn new ways of teaching and we hope that it will lead to better quality of education in our schools. We will keep the learning together in one place and establish project web page that will be a portfolio for the learning. There we will document the learning journey with pictures, videos and power point presentations from the visits. Texts from children diaries where it´s possible to read about their reflects and learning. Article about logo competition held in each country where you need to put in a lot of thinking about the project in order to take part. There will also be interviews with parents about the hosting process and articles from teachers about what they learned from the trips. We hope that the web page will be helpful to others to open windows. It can be used as teaching tool for teachers around Europe and further so that you can compare land care challenges in different countries.
more_vert assignment_turned_in ProjectPartners:Turisticko ugostiteljska skola Split, Lycée Pierre-de-Fermat, Profesionalna gimnazia po targovia i restorantyorstvo, PROTYPO LYCEUM IONIDEIOSTuristicko ugostiteljska skola Split,Lycée Pierre-de-Fermat,Profesionalna gimnazia po targovia i restorantyorstvo,PROTYPO LYCEUM IONIDEIOSFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2020-1-FR01-KA202-080100Funder Contribution: 67,875 EUR"This partnership includes 6 establishments: 3 professional high schools in Bulgaria (Hotel/Tourism/Economy and Informatics), 1 in Croatia (Hotel/Tourism), 1 in Greece (experimental high school) and 1 in France (Management-Administration, coordinator). The federative idea was born from an observation shared by all. Our classes have a very heterogeneous audience because of the presence of pupils with specific needs: disability falling into the ULIS system or not (or equivalent, depending on the country), belonging to various ethnic groups, whether or not coming from immigration… In addition, there are those with learning disabilities (""dys"" for disorders) and/or who have a default academic orientation, as well as those from families of modest socio-professional categories.Faced with this situation it seemed urgent to find a educational method to overcome these difficulties and meet the needs of a majority of them. The implementation of a European partnership seems to be suitable to achieve most of our objectives: through a game, students will discover and make discover each other’s city or region. During the first year, these exchanges will provide various activities: discovery of the local cultural heritage of each one, preparation of puzzles to present to other partners in order to make them discover one's cultural richness. This first step will make them aware of their adoptive origins or not.It will mobilize a team work respectful of the differences of each one. The use of the language of the country will be developed with a view to its appropriation or deepening. During exchanges, the obligation to communicate with correspondents implies the practice of a foreign language and the overcoming of the fear of the view and judgment of others. These meetings also aim at demystifying what is foreign and opening their minds. All that should help pupils to feel they’re citizens of the wide European community. At the end of the first year, the design of the game in its heritage version will have been tested: degree of difficulty of the questions: level 1,2 ,3 depending on the audience … Its marketing will be considered by all partners.During the second year the exchanges will resume, but this time, based on the gastronomic heritage. A menu including all the local products presented according to their seasonal availability!) will be prepared during the final meeting on May 2022 in order to close the subsidized period for this partnership. The objectives discussed during the first year’s exchanges will be deepened and consolidated. At the same time, still during the second year, we will consider how to make our project sustainable with its marketing. The aim being that each partner sells the game presenting all the versions: being an ambassador of his own region at the beginning, each partner will become the ambassador of all the other partners and, consequently a European citizen. In order to guarantee its impact and influence, such a project requires communication at various levels using various communication channels, from the most traditional to social networks: documents, testimonials, photos and videos of our working sessions will be posted on them. At the local level, each institution will promote and communicate about the partnership: to peers, to the whole educational community, and parents. Our respective educational institutions will also be informed at local, national and European levels. To ensure the promotion of our patrimony, we will need to involve local, national and international actors related to this sector. The resulting partnership will require close communication. Our communications will also be addressed to elected politicians in connection with these associated partners. Finally, participation in specialized fairs and test sessions will be organized to promote our game. Of course, Erasmus+ won’t be forgotten. This dissemination will strengthen our partnership and its sustainability. The benefits of our partnership will be felt in the long term with a change in the view on disability or any difference in a broader sense. The more or less partial achievement of our various objectives will give our students added value in terms of employability and mobility. In addition, creating links with correspondents will strengthen our students' access to European citizenship. Finally, this project is an exchange of good practice between European teachers wishing to respond to similar problems. This shared experience will enable them to familiarize themselves with other European education systems, to better understand the tools to contribute to the pupils ‘motivation and developmentIt will strengthen their links for other partnerships and possibly ""job shadowing""."
