The project PM4Future aims at organising a Conference on Personalised Medicine with the overarching objective of identifying challenges and opportunities for the implementation of personalised medicine in the healthcare as well as gaps on research and funding. The event, organised by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) and with collaboration of the Institute of Health Carlos III (ISCIII), the Centre for the Development of Technology and Innovation (CDTI), will be held on October the 4th and 5th 2023 in Valencia. The agenda will focus on three main axes: 1) Prevention, diagnostics and treatment of diseases through a personalised approach; 2) Tools for Personalised Medicine: the role of federated transnational research infrastructures in the research and development of PM; and 3) International cooperation as an element to promote the development of Personalised medicine in African and Latin American regions.

FECYT, as a foundation in charge of supporting the Ministry of Science of Spain, presents a proposal to host the SET Plan Conference 2023 in Barcelona, Spain, during the Spanish Presidency of the EU. The Conference will take place in Barcelona on 13 - 14 November 2023. The agenda includes 3 high-level panels dedicated to technological sovereignty, energy system resilience and the European Solar Strategy, where we expect the attendance of Commissioners Simson and Gabriel. In addition to this, 4 thematic sessions dedicated to Energy Storage, Energy Efficiency, Offshore technologies, and biofuels will take place, as well as interactive sessions for crosscutting issues. The event will count with the attendance of the Spanish Minister of Science and Innovation, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, and the Spanish Minister for Ecological Transition. The first day will be closed by a formal dinner. The Conference will promote energy research and innovation across the EU and enable discussions among different public and private stakeholders. The results will include, among others, recommendations for the SET Plan Implementation Working Groups, and for the future of the EU research and innovation programmes.

The Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union will held during the second semester of 2023 a European Conference entitled ‘Cultural and creative industries, cities and citizens fostering sustainable development and the European way of living’. The objective is to reflect how the Cultural and Creatives Industries (CCIs) collaborate and contribute to improve people's quality of life by creating solutions through Culture and Science, The event will pretend to be an international meeting point between Culture and Science by displaying, in a demonstrative, interactive and participatory way, CCIs’ European and collaborative projects and initiatives that are not only innovative and sustainable, but also accessible, affordable, socially committed and enriching for all in line with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. In this way, the event will be able to reflect how cultural and creative industries can collaborate as social and innovative drivers through a collaborative network. The Conference will be organized held on 11, 12 and 13 July 2023 in Barcelona by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), in partnership with the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sports.
