How can climate policy lead to behavioural change? ChangeAble develops new knowledge aimed at accelerating behavioural change, provides insight into which individual, social and contextual factors stimulate sustainable behaviour, and how and when policy can effectively leverage them. ChangeAble also provides insight into how tipping points can be reached by improved policy timing for more widespread and faster sustainable behavioural change. ChangeAble identifies, develops and tests interventions to promote changes in social conventions in five policy areas. In this way, ChangeAble contributes to more effective, efficient, acceptable and just climate policy by making better use of behavioural knowledge in policy.

The mission of the Dutch government is to render the agricultural system fully sustainable. Despite agriculture being among the most innovative Dutch sectors, solutions remain underdeveloped and hard to diffuse. This project aims to foster new collaborations among all stakeholders as to develop and transfer agricultural innovations within and across ecosystems. We develop a digital recommender system for new collaborations as well as tools for ecosystem governance, coalition building, and joint business model development.

Universities of applied sciences Aeres, HAS, Van Hall Larenstein and Saxion are working closely with numerous consortium partners (such as water boards, provinces, area parties) to investigate in area cases what such a transition to climate-robust stream landscapes could look like in practice and how agriculture can support this transition in a smart way. We do this on the basis of several thematic perspectives, such as the soil and water system, the agricultural perspective, the earning opportunities of and within this landscape and the role of governance.
