    BIO-INTEL-MOB aims to revolutionize peri-urban mobility, logistics, and governance through AI-driven, citizen-centric, and climate-neutral solutions. Addressing fragmented mobility networks, inefficient logistics, and governance gaps, the project integrates Advanced Mobility Data Space (aMDS), Peri-Urban Mobility Hubs (PUMHs), Green-Safe Routing Algorithm (GSRA), bio-packaging logistics units (bioPLU), and Digital Twin ecosystems. By leveraging AI-powered risk detection, emission monitoring, real-time analytics, multimodal transport optimization, and VR/AR-enabled participatory governance, BIO-INTEL-MOB enhances urban-peri-urban accessibility and connectivity, reduces private car dependency by 35%, and optimizes multimodal transport efficiency by 35%. The project’s interventions will lead to a 30% reduction in urban-peri-urban congestion, a 25% decrease in logistics-related emissions and packaging waste. Further, BIO-INTEL-MOB will cut VRU-related accident risks by 35%, improve air quality and noise pollution by 20%, and reduce the human health impact of transport-related pollution by 30%. The project conducts large-scale pilot demonstrations in Rome, Cascais, Riga & Vilnius, alongside satellite pilots in Melsungen, Ciampino, Urla, and Rhodes, ensuring scalability and transferability. Through policy-aligned smart city governance (SCGo) with policy engine, citizen-voice-app and knowledge-hub, and AI-driven multimodal transport innovations, BIO-INTEL-MOB strengthens citizen participation in city planning by 40%, creating data-driven and participatory ecosystems. The project’s AI-driven models will ensure a 40% increase in participatory governance efficiency, 25% faster policy compliance processes, and a 35% improvement in co-designing of city policies and infrastructure. The outcomes contribute to the EU Green Deal, Digitalization Strategy, and Climate-Neutral Cities Mission, positioning peri-urban areas as resilient, connected, and low-emission living spaces.

    "The key action of the project is through strategic partnership to foster innovation and the exchange of good study practices through a strategic partnership between the TTK University of Applied Sciences (Tallinn, Estonia), TSI – Transport and Telecommunication Institute (Latvia Riga), HAMK – Häme University of Applied Sciences (Finland, Riihimäki), and VTI – Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (Sweden Linköping). The main objective was innovation - the creation of an innovative study module in the field of transportation and logistics for professional higher education. The most important priority was to provide new opportunities for open education and innovative study practices in a digital era. Activities undertaken were grouped under two intellectual outputs, IO1 and IO2. Under output O1 were achieved: Virtual and open cross-study curricula for digital environment of T&L systems were developed. For that the following activities were implemented: 1) Definition and description of measurable competences for digital support; 2) Development of quality criteria and assessment and feedback principles for e-supported T&L education; 3) Development of methodological approach for cross-institutional study and virtual teamwork using e-learning materials based on the Carpe Diem learning design process; 4) Development of the concept for piloting the simulators of digitally supported logistics systems; 5) Adaptation of selected e-learning and video study materials prepared by partners for virtual teamwork and their piloting in the cross-institutional study process. Under output O2 ""Simulation tool based on games strategy (TRELOGIC) for training and e-learning of T&L"", a software package was designed that can be used in the training process. To achieve the planned results for output IO2, the following activities were implemented and reported on: 1. Development of an algorithm for the TRELOGIC application for Transport and Logistics (T&L); 2. Development of content and set of information materials; 3. Preparation of essential background material for TRELOGIC application; 4. Development of pilot software for the TRELOGIC system; 5. Development of detailed TRELOGIC Manual in English; 6. Development of TRELOGIC Manuals in the local languages of partners; 7. Development of video demo of TRELOGIC application; 8. Testing of TRELOGIC application during piloting sessions. The TRELOGIC system consists elements of network technologies, databases, and strategic role games based on simulation modelling. The TRELOGIC game-based learning system is used to increase the readiness of students and SME professionals to work in the single European T&L market.The project achieved the desired impact at the local level: 1. More harmonized and attractive T&L education and training programs, in line with the needs and expectations of individuals as well as industry demands; 2. more modern, dynamic, committed, and professional environment inside project partner institutions; 3. Improved skill levels and employability through online self-assessment.The project achieved the desired impact at the regional and national level: 1. Increased workforce mobility and engagement in lifelong learning, helping students to better plan their careers and enhance their employability potential. 2. Facilitation of the assessment by educators of the compatibility of educational systems and sectors across national borders. The project achieved the desired long-term impact at the European and/or international level: 1. Promotion of the sharing, storing, findability, and interoperability of educational resources. 2. Promotion of the use of learning outcomes based on unified T&L competence when describing and defining qualifications, parts of qualifications and curricula, in support of teaching, learning, and assessment."

    A fundamentally new kind of design competence is needed to anticipate the digital transformation of society and create the conditions for responsible and sustainable futures. For this, D-CoDE will train a cohort of 15 PhD students in design, design anthropology, media studies, science and technology studies and data science, and equip them with the holistic understanding needed for the human-centric design of product service systems powered by Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. New foundations for design will require the interdisciplinary integration of five key research challenges identified in both engineering and the social sciences: (1) anthropological study and principled engineering of algorithms as foundation for shaping digital futures; (2) design of personally meaningful and socially appropriate forms of interaction with and across decentralised systems; (3) inclusive approaches to value creation in designing data-driven products, services and business models; (4) principles and mechanisms for public deliberation and governance of data flows across systems; (5) future design practices upholding anticipatory, deliberative and responsive innovation approaches. To foster this holistic understanding – and the integration of knowledge across disciplines it requires – D-CoDE introduces a post-disciplinary mode of working called ‘prototeams’: teams of PhD students working in real-world contexts to develop and prototype future professional design roles and practices, including the scientific knowledge needed to support them. As these research challenges require both deep disciplinary expertise and knowledge that cuts across sectors, D-CoDE brings together an exceptional team of internationally leading researchers in the required subject areas, and non-academic partners that bring societal, economic and political practice to the project and provide multiple forums for the dissemination of knowledge, results and best practices.

    HOLGISTICS will pilot and demonstrate innovative open standard logistics solutions and technologies which accelerate freight transport decarbonisation while increasing operational efficiency and flexibility, ensuring logistics networks are cost effective and competitive, taking account of externalities. The project will scale up collaborative solutions for multimodal logistics nodes and networks, enhancing digital and physical interoperability, supported by effective business and governance models, and facilitating increased use of zero emission vehicles and vessels. This will lead to major reductions in GHG emissions in the logistics networks, supporting the 2030 Climate Target Plan to reduce emissions by 55%. Logistics supply chain performance will be further improved via a Physical Internet approach, synchromodality and models which drive pooling, resource sharing and optimisation of capacity utilisation across modes. A wide range of processes, procedures and services in multiple logistics nodes and operations across Europe will be implemented, enhancing innovations and technologies developed in previous Horizon projects, and magnifying the benefits of ongoing CEF investments. These include: AI, IoT, synchromodal logistics algorithms, interoperability using shared standardised boxes/containers, automation and autonomous systems, new business models and solutions for increased use of zero emission transport, semantic models for collaborative data sharing, Digital Twins, advanced simulation and visualisation solutions, resource sharing and pooled logistics models and innovative inventory strategies that enable increased use of greener transport. Open access definition and seamless interaction will be prioritised, enabling all players including SMEs to participate, exploiting the DTLF data sharing framework to ensure scalability and compliance with the ongoing development of the common European mobility data space and achieving TRL 7 by the end of the project.
