However, farms face large societal pressures related to soil: cleaner water, healthier soils, improved carbon storage and increase in biodiversity. A better understanding of the variability of soil properties and quality is needed, with current market solutions being too expensive and not well suited to farmer needs. SQAT's smart soil mapping service is a multi-level, multi-technology and multi-purpose solution. With a keen eye on markets and users, SQAT’s approach is designed to overcome today’s practical, technical and financial challenges to generate high resolution soil properties maps – and demand-driven products like application maps for soil improvement or crop management, or compliancy proof for eco schemes. Our vision is that the integration of different technologies provides a flexible and agile service beating the unbundled alternatives that are now in the market: our in-situ sampling and/or sensoring is wrapped in a Copernicus-based artificial intelligence soil mapping product. In the field, our autonomous robot-mounted sensor toolbox includes VIS-NIR sensors, automated sampler drill and penetrometer, and a novel chamber for in situ wet chemical soil analysis (Lab in the Field). Overall, the system increases the productivity and reduces laboratory/labour costs compared to current approaches. Using resulting maps, SQAT co-develops, tests and validates 5 smart farming applications to deliver value to farmers: Variable rate liming/fertilisation/seeding, Variable depth tillage, & Carbon farming MRV. We include 7 SMEs from across the SQAT data value chain to lead co-development in 7 use cases across Europe. The results will be commercialised by project end courtesy of a pro-active market focus, that aims to engage and onboard users in the use case locations, as well as other agri-service providers to develop their own SQAT-enabled smart farming applicatications.

To meet the targets and ambition set out by EU Circular Economy policies and actualise circular value chains as a competitive advantage, DigiCirc will empower SMEs to leverage digital technology as a key enabler for innovative circular products/ services, processes and business models. To this end, DigiCirc will create and coordinate the DigiCirc innovation network, facilitated by an engagement campaign of 3 partner clusters, to bring together a wide-spectrum of ‘triple-helix’ stakeholders (local/ regional authorities, big industry actors, SMEs, RTOs, civil society, etc.). 3 strategic high-growth domains will be in scope (Circular Cities, Bioeconomy, Blue Economy), each represented by a leading cluster in the field. The Ecosystem will lay the foundation for a holistic, dynamic and cross-border/sector open space for innovation, implement through the DigiCirc accelerators (3 calls, one in each target domain). The accelerators will be run by innovation support experts to transform validated concepts into robust business models towards a commercial launch. This will involve (i) tailored business support: courses and coaching; (ii) identifying and establishing strategic partnerships (facilitated by a dedicated Matchmaking Tool) to create complementary consortia (thematic & SMEs with a LSD enabler partner, e.g. industry, local government); (iii) two circular data platforms to simplify data use and integration across complex value chains and environments thus boosting circular business plans and concepts. Finally, A DigiCirc Roadmap will be drafted to define the path for digital-enabled circular innovation in the 3 domains, the way-forward for each of the clusters to seize upon knowledge gained and identify/define concrete sustainability options for the DigiCirc innovation network.

This will be achieved by enabling the widest possible uptake of tested and validated climate neutral solutions for four agriculture subsectors: (i) water-food nexus, (ii) agroforestry, (iii) organic crop production, (iv) cattle production. ClimaPannonia aims to support PBA agriculture sector in drastically improving its climate resilience. By implementing innovative systemic solutions and fostering collaboration among the six countries within the PBA – Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Czechia, and Slovakia – ClimaPannonia will pave the way for a more sustainable and resilient agriculture. By harnessing the knowledge and expertise of leading experts in PBA and leverage the knowledge of partners from countries such as Germany, Italy, and France, ClimaPannonia seeks to ensure that the solutions implemented are innovative not only at PBA level, but also at European scale.

This includes the development and deployment of both digital and technical solutions in building urban material databanks, digital twins, as well as demolition, decontamination and recycling and reuse of waste materials. With this in mind, the Circ-Boost project proposes to become a focal point and interaction node for different emerging technologies to foster circularity in buildings and the construction sector. The project's core consists of five pilot projects, deployed in different European regions, highlighting and demonstrating at large scale novel and integrated solutions for demolition, construction waste processing, management, and valorisation in new products. Transversal activities of digitalization will allow collaboration between the pilot projects and more efficient use of digital tools and platforms. Targeted activities are envisioned for boosting and maximising the pilot projects' commercial and business potential through effective exploitation measures. Furthermore, in order to ensure that the solutions demonstrated will actually be adopted by the industry, the project will support construction and design companies in educating and training their workforce to optimally use the new technologies as part of training activities. The Circ-Boost project will also leverage the partners' existing regional and international networks and connect with new networks, initiatives, and projects to disseminate and compare project results with a wide audience of construction stakeholders increasing the overall uptake potential of circular solutions. Finally, tailor-made communication and dissemination measures will further support the dissemination of project results with policy makers, and European-wide construction industry, as well as the promotion of the project's success.
