The study programs proposed to students must correspond to the current needs of the labor market. The European Union is facing a shortage of specialists, particulary in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and in the field of information and communication technologies. There are too few women in these fields of study. For years, in partner countries and across Europe, there has been a strong trend to attract more people to study in areas where there is a need for skilled workers and, at the same time, there is a labor shortage. In recent years, increasing emphasis has been placed on transversal skills, such as critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and key competences such as mathematical reasoning and digital competences, which will enable them to enter the profession successfully after graduation. A key approach to education is based on the concept of multidisciplinarity, removing traditional divisions into subjects and disciplines. This approach makes it easier to combine science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with other disciplines, and also involves learning by experience. For the development of higher education in Europe, it is necessary to build international, long-term alliances between higher education institutions in Europe, as well as to improve the competences and skills of research and teaching staff. Higher education in Europe is changing dynamically and internationalization is now an integral part of any university's strategy and one of the challenges of education in all partner countries. The development of a joint study program, exchange of good practices, and improvement of the partners' teaching competences are therefore the basis for cooperation in this project.Analysis of the needs of target groups. 1.Adjusting study curriculum to the needs of students, the labor market and a modern concept of higher education: the need identified ased on own research on the quality of education at partner universities, data from the analysis of graduates tracking and thanks to feedback from enterprises where students complete their apprenticeships or student internships.2.increase in teaching competences of academic teachers, including the use of e-learning and blended learning materials in STEM educationOne of the completed challenges of this project will be to define what constitutes a core knowledge base of materials and how this will be taught given the array of science and engineering departments involved in materials research and materials education today. As a results of intellectual work, a methodology for the implementation of the new master's degree program in the field of Materials Science and Engineering will be developed. The methodology will be based on good practices of partner universities and examples of the best academic centers in Europe.<< Objectives >>The project will allow for the development of innovative methodological and didactic solutions, and will increase the attractiveness of the material science study program. Developing a teaching system that will lead to the profile of a student who can independently diagnose and solve problems related to Materials Science and Engineering, as well as develop a universal methodology and good practices in didactics of materials science and guidelines for teaching staff / academic teachers. The partners learn about the expectations of potential employers on the European market, thus increasing the employment opportunities of their future graduates.Developed during the project work methods will be able to be used by other organizations active in the field of materials science.Implementation of the project will also have a positive impact on inspiring other organizations to build partnerships and will help the formation of further innovative educational tools.By implementing the project, we want to achieve following goals:The main objective is: Increasing the quality of higher education through the development of a new, interdisciplinary master's program in Materials Science and Engineering in an international consortium, responding to the needs of modern economy.Specific Objectives:- increasing the knowledge of at least 200 academic teachers about the directions of didactics development in the discipline of materials science;- increasing the teaching competences of 20 academic teachers - participants of short training programs;- adjusting the Master's degree program to the needs of the labor market by analyzing the needs of employers;- increasing innovation and internationalization of the institutions involved (4) through the exchange of good practices, joint development of the study program and teaching materials in the form of blended learning and promotion of open education;<< Implementation >>1. The market and science environment needs analysis: the aim of the activite will be to identify knowledge and skills desired by employers, students' expectations as to the methods and results of studying, analyse the needs and barriers of contemporary teaching in materials engineering as well as technology and identify possible solutions. Action includes: preparation of a report on students and market needs research. We assume the participation in the study of at least 50 companies operating in industries related to materials engineering and at least 80 students; organization of a seminar disseminating the implementation of the project, the aim of which will be to analyse barriers in teaching materials engineering and the needs of students. 80 academic teachers will take part in the seminar, 5 experts will be invited. In addition, the seminar will be conducted in a hybrid form so the support will be available to academic teachers from other European academic centers. Materials from the seminar and conclusions from the discussion will be printed in the form of a report.2. Development of an innovative study program: The dynamic development of new technologies, the strong influence of ecology, the globalization effect, connections and dissemination of information observed over the past years require the introduction of appropriate changes in the approach to materials science and engineering teaching. The closed circle between material, technology and application makes this discipline constantly developing. It requires the modernization of laboratory facilities as well as the methodical approach to teaching. Departure from disciplinary knowledge forces the development of new programs that follow global requirements or trends. The program will be based on experiences and good practices developed jointly as part of cooperation with European partners as well as results of IO1. The target group will be master's degree students and academic teachers. The curriculum content will help shape the profile of a graduate with professional competencies enabling him/her to take up effective work in the European industrial sector or prepare a candidate with scientific predispositions to undertake doctoral studies.3. Development of the methodology of the study program: as part of activite, 4 training programs - study visits - will be organized. Each partner will organize one study visit. Each event will be attended by 5 representatives of partner institutions. The purpose of short training programs will be:- participation in laboratory classes/lectures at the partner university- getting acquainted with the didactic methods of partner universities- participation in workshops on the blended learning module developed by the partner. In addition, a dissemination event will be organized - a conference to which experts in the field of material engineering will be invited. The aim of the event will be to share good practices and practical solutions in the teaching of materials science. Conference materials and conclusions from the discussion will be published in the form of a report, which is part of the teaching methodology developed under IO3<< Results >>Intellectual Outputs:IO1. The market and science environment needs analysisThe aim of the result will be to identify knowledge and skills desired by employers, students' expectations as to the methods and results of studying, analyse the needs and barriers of contemporary teaching in materials engineering and identify possible solutions.IO2. An innovative study programThe result of intellectual work will consist of 4 elements: 1. Learning outcomes based on IO1 results. 2. Four-semester master's degree program - each semester, 20 modules will be developed, 80 in total. From this, the student will be able to compose the path of modules appropriate to his/her targeted interest. Each partner is expected to develop 20 modules. 3. Syllabuses - describing the structure of each module, skills and gathered knowledge. 4. Teaching materials supporting education in the form of blended learning - as an example of good practice and supporting materials, 4 blended learning modules will be developed. IO3. Adolescents are evidently still receiving too little stimulation from parents and educators. Even though the present report looks at a multitude of possible risks, the potential of digital media for education and participation should not be ignored and should also be taken into account in educational work” concludes the EU Kids online study. Having that in mind we also need to remember that according to research by EBU titled “Market Insights, Trust in Media 2020” there is a massive level of distrust when it comes to media services which include radio, television, written media, online and social media platforms. According to this research, TV is the most trusted medium in the country, with a shocking 44% of the population stating that they “tend to trust” the TV broadcasters. Furthermore, trust in radio is at a disappointing 27%, whereas trust in the internet which includes digital media stands at 36%. All Citizens should be able to use, understand, analyze and create Digital Media. For this reason, the development and application of New Media will be one of the main topics of the #NewME project. There is a great need for all young people to be actively involved in the content creation and reflective consumption of digital media. This can be reached only by improving their skills in it and providing the tools and methods for Youth Workers who will act as stakeholders. And Youth are using New Media on daily basis. According to the study ""Digital Usage in Germany 2018"", it is 71 minutes a day, including communication via messenger apps such as WhatsApp or e-mail. The 14- to 24-year-olds spend 99 minutes per weekday and 113 minutes on the weekend on social media. Teenagers and young adults are spending more and more time chatting, liking, commenting and following. According to the report “Młodzi Cyfrowi”, 97% of young people use mobile phone for using internet. Most of time that young people spend in the internet is spent for communication with others.According to the results of a recent environmental sociological survey conducted by UNDP in 2019-2020, the climate change issue is not only high on the international and national political agendas, but also a critical issue and concern for Ukrainian citizens. While 4 out of 5 Ukrainians regard climate change as a serious problem for Ukraine, only one of five consider this problem more important compared to other environmental issues. Only 36% of Germans (2016) admit that they think that the citizens are doing enough for the environment. What is more, only 19% say the same being asked two years later – 2018 (BMU/UBA 2019). The majority of school pupils in Czech Republic are saying that they are not even trying to do something for the climate (according to ekoskola.cz).As the Sustainable Development, Environmental Issues, Green Approach, Circular Economy are getting more and more attention of citizens it is important to use it and transform it into action. Those actions can be realized with more probability only thank to the tools which Youth finds “cool”. And those are New Media. As you can read in “Environmental Awarness”: ""Systems of values, evaluations, adopted norms lead to the formation of not only individual knowledge about the surrounding natural world, but also a specific attitude towards it and behaviours. For this reason, shaping the ecological knowledge of individuals, especially from an early age, plays a huge role”.<< Objectives >>Since social media platforms gained a prominent role in everyday life issues, political and societal debates and became a natural part of networking, they also took over certain key functions that Media traditionally occupied before the rise of the Internet. Our project features the idea of New Media: Facing the development of social media, media devices and apps, it is not important anymore to provide independent distribution opportunities. Having said that, it is even more important to provide a thorough media education and orientation for everybody. The experience shows: Teaching people about media production will turn them into more responsible consumers. Nowadays, learners are always on-line with mobile phones in their hands – on the way to school, in their free time or while eating. Using New Media properly fulfill the needs of modern learners. #NewME is exciting, personalized and flexible. With well-designed e-platform and e-crossmedia-blog the learners engage themselves in the process of learning on their own terms and in the experience of developing their decision-making skills.Simultaneously New Media are on the rise in the partner countries and local Youth audience are not just a recipient of mainstream information but also people formally known as audience – ready to produce the content of high interest. And ecology is one of the key spheres of this interest since we all have to feel a burden of responsibility for the Planet’s future. Through Youth supported by Youth Workers we may foster actual messages and transform the situation in a more positive changes direction. As the statistics from Poland show Poles have a positive attitude to the environment and its protection - for example, 91% believe that nature protection should be a priority human activity, and 84% believe that humans have an impact on the state of natural resources through their individual actions. Despite such declarations, 56% of respondents in their everyday life do not think about whether what they are doing has an impact on the environment. This is one of many examples where it turns out that for some people a positive attitude towards ecology does not mean the transfer into behavior. On the one hand the declare responsibility for the state of the environment, while on the other they do not always return it in everyday life. The project will have influence on local level developing links between the youngsters who are concerned about Environmental Issues and the local population through New Media. This connection can furthermore impact the youngsters peers, relatives and people who they are in contact with in their local communities. As a result of the project activities youngsters will become more aware of their opportunities when it comes to creating and implementing a media outlet and the way they can use them in the pursuit of tackling pressing environmental issues all while bringing them closer to the public in a very user-friendly way. Local communities will widen their views on digital media and green issues, all while consuming youth produced content which is aimed at green spaces, sustainable citizenship and locally driven, but European development systems. Since the digital presence of this project is evident, Youth Workers across the partner countries will use the handbook in their activities related to the environment and building journalistic skills. They will also take advantage of all materials resulting the project.<< Implementation >>The #NewME project is divided into 3 Phases (PH), 10 Work Packages (WP) which in turn consist of several Sub Activities (A). Each work package has a WP leader, responsible for the coordination of partners’ work and producing outputs and results. The overall supervision of work will be the role of the Project Manager (Lead Partner), whereas supervision of the development of each Result will be performed by the WP coordinator. The WP coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the work on the WP and quality of results.He/she provides the project manager with the final version of the completed activities.OVERVIEW PHASES, WP AND ACTIVITIES:PH1 Preparation – described abovePH2 ImplementationWP1 - e-book with methods and tools for Youth WorkersWP2 - e-platform with self-learning on New Media production for YouthWP3 - e-crossmedia-blog + e-brochure on Sustainable Citizenship issues for Youth and Youth Workers including International Editorial Board meetings and 2 digital editiona of a magazine based on the blog and in a pdf formWP4 - Local WorkshopsA4.1 - Contacting/Contracting Youth WorkersA4.2 - Organising and preparation of location and materialsA4.3 - Documenting the workshopsA4.4 - Providing content for press releases and documentationA4.4 - Feedback with Youth WorkerWP5 - Target Group InvolvementA5.1 - Creating a stakeholder registerA5.2 - Implementing a Youth Advisory BoardA5.3 - Developing a strategy for direct Target Group InvolvementA5.4 - Collect on-going feedback from partners and Target Groups to further develop and adjust the strategyWP6 - Meetings (Joint Staff Training organised in North Macedonia and Blended Mobility of Youth organised in Ukraine; TPMs: in Germany, North Macedonia, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Poland)WP7 - Reporting and EvaluationA7.1 - Creation of reporting and evaluation templatesA7.2 - Creation of feedback questionnairesA7.3 - Writing/Composing the Activity Report (frequencey t. b. d.)A7.4 - Providing the Activity Report to the NAWP8 - Project Management (including Quality Assurance and Project Risk Management)WP9 - Multiplier Events (each partner will organised an own designed Multiplier Event)WP10 - Dissemination<< Results >>A developed and tested set of methods, materials, and tools to promote Environmental Issues among Youth via established youth work and participation in Digital Media. The following results will be achieved during project implementation and on its completion.R1 e-book: a multidimensional and comprehensive e-book for Youth Workers and youth organizations employing these who work with youths, adolescents. Besides regulation patterns, curricula that fit the demand by labour markets and reliable and efficient organisations for the delivery of VET, one crucial ""input variable"" is the professionalisation of teachers working in the field of VET. For the quality of teacher training the mode in which teachers are trained has become more and more complex since teachers need to be (1) experts in their vocational field (2) pedagogical/didactical experts who know how to teach effectively; (3) and they also need to know what young people to be trained expect when they start their career. The project addresses these issues and wants to contribute to establishing a profound didactical understanding and underpinning of VET teacher programmes/courses in the Ukrainian universities taking part in the project. Didactical and organisational inputs come from three EU countries with strong experience in VET teacher education. The project aims at newly created or revised curricula for VET teacher courses taking account of modern didactics, the importance of pedagogy in general, and also internship regulations that ensure that future teachers also can gain practical experience in schools and companies before they start their career. Hereby, the involvement and commitment of vocational schools/colleges and companies will be a crucial objective of the project. It is intended that the project can contribute to raise awareness of securing a modern VET teacher education system in Ukraine, that it will underline the general social and economic importance of this professional group and that it will contribute to raising the status of teachers in the Ukrainian society in general. Besides, long-term impacts can be seen in a more functional and quality-minded approach to VET delivery in schools and companies."

But teaching of disciplines of “criminal law cycle” still tends to old traditions. At the same time training of students-to-be-judges/prosecutors/investigators is an essential element of an efficient system of justice, as it helps to ensure the competency of the judiciary. CRIMHUM, taking into account the synergy with the TRADIR project, will aim to modernise the training in the most conservative legal environment to meet the needs of employers and society, addressing the regional priority–Law, by developing and establishing specialised master programmes in criminal justice based on a Guiding Concept. The project is totally in line with the Concept of the development of legal education in the Republic of Belarus for 2018-2025 as well as labour market demands and last developments in the modernisation of higher legal education in Ukraine. The emphasis is on teaching how to conduct investigations, public prosecution and judging (including understanding of a rights-based approach), respecting fundamental principles in particular. Furthermore, to educate students about modern trends in criminal law and procedure in EU countries and how national law and procedure are affected by foreign, supranational and international law. The project will also lay the foundation for interdisciplinary teaching. Totally new for these countries courses reflecting contemporary criminal threats (e.g., crimes in IT, cross-border crime) will be introduced and course books in national languages will be developed. The traditional law school education will be connected with a practical learning approach (also through installing at the law faculties “work places” with special software to help students to draw up procedural documents). Belarusian and Ukrainian teachers will obtain an advanced training to teach criminal justice courses in English
