It is part of an innovative approach of co-construction and empowerment of HEIs in a North-South configuration. The project responds to the most urgent needs in the field of evaluation expressed by Moroccan universities which increasingly require the use of new technologies. It aims to create 4 Support Centres for Evaluation (CEDAPE) in 4 Moroccan universities. The CEDAPE will interact within the iCEDAPE network, which will promote the sharing and contextualisation of common tools as well as a dynamic transfer of North-South-South expertise in the areas of evaluation engineering and docimology. The consortium includes 6 institutions including 4 from Morocco and 2 from the EU. With the support of European institutions and evaluation experts from the South (Bolivia, Mexico), the HEIs in the South will be the actors in the modernization of their education systems through: 1) the transfer of North-South-South experience; 2) the creation of 4 CEDAPE in Morocco; 3) collaboration within the iCEDAPE network and 4) support of 4 spin-offs (to be created) which will deploy their activities there.CEDAPE teams will be autonomous in the use of their automatic data acquisition chain. They will have been trained in the construction and evaluation quality management platform (DOCIMO) which will facilitate collaboration within iCEDAPE.In terms of dissemination, a ""Create a CEDAPE"" manual and a website that can be transposed to each CEDAPE will be developed. The acquired expertise, the creation of 4 spin-offs, the support of the iCEDAPE network, the empowerment of the teams, the support of the Ministry and the National Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance, the quality of the contextualized services that meet the needs of Moroccan HEIs will ensure the sustainability of the project."

The RL4Eng project aims to improve the quality of higher education in third countries and make it more relevant into the today’s digital transformation world through establishing Remote and Virtual Laboratories for Teaching and Training Engineering Students to modernize the current teaching approaches and improve the digital and entrepreneurial capacities of both students and teachers in South Mediterranean and Sub-Saharan HEIs. The project’s contribution to the priorities of the call includes the digital transformation under which digital education is the focus of the project. Online teaching for laboratories has been implemented in EU countries with successful outcomes. The involvement of different European Universities will help integrate good practices and minimise potential risks in implementing the RL4Eng project. South Mediterranean HEIs have identified the necessity of training with numerous initiatives available in the European system. Few Research is available on the effective delivery of remote labs and take-home labs. The project involves several workpackages in efforts made to elevate the knowledge of remote labs and take-home labs in the partners institutions via capacity building for students, staff and faculty and share of experiences. A remote lab will be established in each country of the partners institutions and a take-home lab will be established in each HEI of the partner countries. The very nature of remote labs, and take-home labs makes them sustainable and easily scalable as they becomes part of the university structure and receives part of its budget. Moreover, the nature of the remote labs makes them sustainable as they are accessible from everywhere and could be used for both teaching and for research.

The 3-year project INSITES coordinated by UH1 et having support from both the MESRSFC and MCINET will associate 17 partners from Morocco and EU member states. It aims at enhancing the university governance by institutionalizing the structures for innovation, knowledge transfer and valorisation of research. This should be approved by the CPU and the university councils. The results attended:- Assessment of the current situation of training methods for transversal competencies in Moroccan universities;- Summary of national strategies on innovation, valorisation and entrepreneurship;-Benchmarking of European experiences;- Competency references and guidelines for good management of the SITES;- Decisions of the Councils of Moroccan Universities on the approval of the setting up of the SITES and determining the chosen profiles based on the formerly approved references;- Training manual for specific transversal competencies in the Moroccan context in line with the European referencies;- Training sessions for training the trainers;- The SITES functions operationally at the Moroccan Universities;- Data base of trainers as resource persons for the generalization of experiences for all Moroccan universities;- National platform of the SITES serving as interface between institutional and economic actors;- Evaluation of the SITES;- A Communication and a Project QA Plan will be set up to ensure the quality, the dissemination and the sustainability of the project beyond its implementation period. A Charter of Good Conduct will be defined to ensure the involvement of all stakeholders and that the realization of activities of the project complies with the general rules and good project management principles.

This Partnership will deliver a RD ecosystem that builds on the successes of previous programmes by supporting robust patient need-led research, developing new diagnostic methods and pathways, spearheading the digital transformational change connecting the dots between care, patient data and research, while ensuring strong alignment of strategies in RD research across countries and regions. Structuring goal-oriented public-private collaborations targeted at interventions all along the R&D value chain will ensure that the journey from knowledge to patient impact is expedited, thereby optimising EU innovation potential in RD. To support its ambition and missions ERDERA has been designed as a comprehensive and integrated ecosystem of which structure can be compared to an institute encompassing three main parts: (i) funding, (ii) internal (in house) Clinical Research Network that implements research activities targeting clinical trial readiness of RDs and accelerating diagnosis and translation of research discovery into improved patient care, and (iii) related supporting services (Data, Expertise, Education and Training) as well as an acceleration hub that serve external and internal RD community, all supported by all-embracing coordination and strategy and foundational (inter)national alignment.
