For the past thirty years, policy attempts and research initiatives have been carried out to create modal shift to rail and waterborne transport. However, we still experience a system that is predominantly truck-based, and that does not exploit the full potential of the well-connected network and the deployed capacity. By aligning business models, operations, regulations, behavioural incentives, data management, and AI, we lead the transition to a sustainable and fair “matching platform” for composite services, defined as Freight Mobility as a Service (FMaaS).

LIFT will provide progress feedback and instruction, based on national baseline data (including five grades: pre-university Grade10-12 ? BA1-2). This data will provide the (1) feedback information (?text and process scales?), and (2) scales for adaptive modelling instruction (texts and processes). It also serves as the baseline for the intervention effects. Three intervention studies (dependent variables: text processing and text quality) will test effects of: (1) Feedback, varying (a) the object (texts versus process), (b) information (absolute versus relative) and subsequently, (2) Object of adaptive strategy instruction (process versus text), based on proven strategy instruction programs. New: (1) use of national baseline data for providing feedback and instruction (2) feedback on processes (3) adapted use of video-taped peer models (students? next level of performance) (4) focus on synthesis text processing.
