Nivola,Gemeinschaftsschule Lothar-Kahn-Schule,Collège du Servois,S.M:S PASCOLIFunder: European Commission Project Code: 2018-1-FR01-KA229-048335Funder Contribution: 117,502 EURDuring this project, students from four European schools of three countries (France, Italy and Germany) will study different aspects of memory and two World Wars. We intend to collect data and other relevant material on the subject to improve students' understanding of these two key periods in our history (which still have major implications today). To achieve this goal, the achievements will be produced and each school will be responsible for one axis of the project. The teams will be made up of an equal number of pupils from each country to ensure intercultural learning, the use of foreign languages (but especially French as working language) and to strengthen European contacts between students and the staff. This work will be continued and documented both at the plenary meetings planned thanks to the new technologies notably via the use of eTwinning. This ensures that the materials on which students work are constantly accessible to all participants. The following final products are envisaged: - Production of two comic books (1914-1918 under the responsibility of France, 1939-1945 under the responsibility of the Sicilian school) and letters of soldiers / civilians (the other Italian school). - Production of a multilingual synoptic dictionary that provides insight into the diversity and richness of the participating countries' languages in describing the historical vocabulary used in comic books and soldiers / civil letters. - Students will be introduced to photography and will be able to use their creativity to create a calendar illustrating the different forms of perception of places of memory (allowing to cross the two world wars). In this project, the following schools, consisting of groups of approximately 20 members each, will participate: - The French College of La Chapelle en Serval is located in the metropolitan area of the Parisian capital (but in the Hauts-de-France region) and is in the heart of the battle zones of the two world wars by its proximity to Compiègne, Chantilly and Senlis (heavily impacted during both conflicts). This will add an aspect that can not be shown by other participants. - The italian school G. Pascoli is located in Aversa, a small town between Naples and Caserta. It is located in the heart of a confrontation zone of the Second World War, close to many places of memory and museums (Certosa di San Martino, Napoli Sotterranea, archives, ...). Italy having been belligerent but engaged from different sides during the two world wars. - The Italian school in Sicily offers a semi-urban area that was deeply affected by the Second World War in the past. She experienced the landing in Sicily (Operation Husky 1943) and clashes between Axis troops and Allies. - The German school Rehlingen-Siersburg is located near the Franco-German border and offers a special geographical location due to the realization of lines Siegfried and Maginot facing each other. Today, the surroundings of Rehlingen-Siersburg offer an impressive panorama of places of memory accessible to the public to illustrate the duty of memory and the construction of the European citizenship in the image of the Saarbrücken Historical Museum in Saarbrücken, the house of the history of Germany in Bonn, the battlefield of Verdun, Trier, ... These places are located on both sides of the border which brings an additional aspect to the project. This project is therefore part of a memorial history of the two world conflicts and gives rise to the production of concrete achievements that will fit into a work where many actors at different scales will cooperate.

Our schools are scattered throughout the European Union, looking at very different ecological practices where a North / South dichotomy is sometimes seen in personal representations. In each of the schools, located in cities or in peri-urban areas, the concern for a healthier environment and a more sustainable city has strongly emerged in the minds of the school community and the programs, in particular since the organization of major forums (for example COP21 in 2015) or initiatives led by very diverse actors (strikes for the climate, specific actions of environmental NGOs). It is in a multidisciplinary spirit and with a desire to support the eco-citizens of tomorrow that this project is developed in favor of an ecological conscience and the challenges to come.During the two years of collaboration between our establishments, we wish to promote the discovery of each establishment through six six-day mobilities in each of the countries where students and teachers will discover and work together on productions that highlight their creativity, their ideas and their talents. For each mobility, at least six students and two teachers from each country will be directly involved through a methodology of work in international groups leading to a specific result. This is how models of the city of tomorrow will be produced during the first mobility, in the same way as posters, mind maps, films and books to make classroom learning concrete. With this synthesized theory, we wish to work on the representations, sometimes erroneous, of the participants through practical workshops (scientific, artistic, sports or even culinary) in which each of the participants will be able to fully develop. The whole will be guided by the observation of problem situations and symbolic places of sustainable development: organic development center, shared gardens, museums, eco-districts, ...Through this project, we want to make the idea of a common front of eco-citizens more concrete in order to replace the student actor of his environment in particular by using all the learning techniques at our disposal: the use of digital will be privileged , through the Etwinning platform, as well as the creation of supports making concrete the enhancement of the school curriculum. This will be the vector for greater collaboration between the target groups around multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary issues bringing together a large number of direct and indirect actors (school community, families, local communities, environmental associations, urban planners, experts, ...) .Our project aims to be a source of life, interactivity and a driving force for the participants who will be able to share their experience and their experience through a strong dissemination which the media will be able to echo in order to allow the transfer of practices. It is therefore a project not only local but whose impact will be on several scales (academic, regional, national and European) involving multiple actors (families, schools, ...). The contributions will be multiple in favor of a real work on the linguistic, oral, digital and social skills from which the participants will be able to profit in favor of a greater employability."
