The project will engage 4 organisations; we state here only their abbreviations, full names of the organisations are given in section Participating Organisations: OU, AMBESP, RUTIS, KU. With respect to project objectives, the following important activities will be carried out:Objective 1. To follow the methodology created within the project Inclusive Senior Education through Virtual U3V (ISEV) based on 4 pillars: using SMART technologies, removing information barriers, seniors’ active approach to education, inter-generation dialogue. The project output will be two eLearning courses-O2, O4. The courses will be created in a way to meet 3 pillars of the methodology, i.e. SMART technologies, removing information barriers, and seniors’ active approach to education. At this stage, we do not anticipate engagement of students and the youth into the project. However, the inter-generation dialogue could also be implemented throughout project implementation. Objective 2. To broaden the methodology with international cooperation when designing and implementing educational activities for seniors focused on cultural heritage in the area of music using SMART t. This Objective is met, in fact, by all project activities. A joint methodology will be created in the area of senior choir leadership-O1, including an international songbook-O3, which will reflect specific approaches and procedures noticed in individual partner countries. The cooperation will be not only in the area of creating the methodology, but in its implementation as well, i.e. choir leadership, rehearsing joint repertoire according to O3 intensified during blended mobility-C1, joint multiplication activity-E1.Objective 3. To implement the methodology and specific procedures in senior education that have been verified in the participating organisations, where such education can be enriched and broadened. There is a direct link to O1–creation of a methodology and its pilot verification, C1 collaborative learning, and E1 multiplication activity. Objective 4. To focus on creative topics in and approaches to senior education. Seniors’ creativity will be primarily supported in O1, but we also plan to create an eLearning course Cultural Heritage-O2, which will emphasise seniors’ creativity and their active approach to education. The course will contain a number of activities for seniors, i.e. they will not just passively read or study prepared materials and sources, but they will also create materials and be motivated to record, describe, and evaluate selected historical and cultural events. They will post there their observations, experience, memories, and findings directly into the course in the eLearning platform. They will actively participate in the course content, not only during the project implementation, or piloting, but after the project termination as well. Objective 5. To strengthen international dialogue and to use untraditional forms of communication. This Objective will take advantage of two ways of communication: non-verbal – by music and virtual – by the eLearning platform. Such a seemingly heterogeneous blend could help initialise a dialogue between the seniors at an international level. We expect such a way of communication to become a significant factor in social inclusion of seniors. Meeting this Objective is a cross-sectional in all activities, primarily in activities O2, O4, and C1.Objective 6. To carry out collaborative learning, both in the form of eLearning courses and direct learning during blended mobility joint meetings of seniors. Collaborative learning will take place in all activities. O1–rehearsing the choir repertoire at national levels while using the created methodology and songbook. O2–joint educational platform for sharing materials, communication and active approach of the seniors. O3–The songbook will serve to rehearse a joint repertoire during the O2 piloting, C1 blended mobility, and E1 multiplication activity. O4–the eLearning course will primarily include seniors’ contributions. There will be a record of learning and rehearsing the choir repertoire, records of performances, records of collaborative learning during blended mobility, introduction of practical implementation of the methodology, etc. the course will also serve for communication between experts as well as seniors. There will also be open space for presenting senior-choir work after the project termination. The project emphasises continuous evaluation and dissemination as well as permanent sustainability. During the project investigation, we will trustworthily inform interested public about project outputs and the possibilities of their further dissemination and use. We will strictly observe that the project outputs are available after project terminate.

The project objective is to create a system of inclusive education of seniors (based on the common methodology) with the use of information technology and active engagement of the seniors into the creation of the content of individual courses, including participation in their implementation. Another project objective is to systematically engage the youth into the education of seniors. These aims were reached. The project was participated by 4 institutions. The project coordinator was the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. The partners were Associação de Melhoramentos e Bem Estar Social de Pias, Portugal, FONDAZIONE MONDO DIGITALE, Italy and Associação Rede de Universidades da Terceira Idade. Profile of Participants is described in part D. Description of activities: - Analysis of the current state of senior’s education in partner organisations, focus mainly on inclusive components. Analysis was done according the structure published on project web pages https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/doc/analysis-structure.pdf. Analysis was the base for development of the comparative study. Questionnaire results are available on project web pages https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/national-documents.php. - Comparison of these analysis, identification of common and different parts, evaluation through dialogue, conclusion as an input into design of new methodology. Comparative study is available on https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/doc/comparative_study_analysis.pdf. - Main innovations: innovation of using ICT in more sophisticated way, strengthen the role of digital data in different formats, role of learning management systems and their huge potential. Innovations aim to involvement of senior’s into teaching activities and involving students, youth. Seniors were in the role of developer of eLearning courses as well as teacher. They collaborated with students in developing of the eLearning courses. - Finding of additional inclusive components from the analysis and through the discussion. - Design of the new methodology which will integrate innovations leading to improvements of inclusive senior’s education and removing of weak points. This methodology will be shared by all partners and will be base for future implementation. Methodology was developed and it is available on https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/doc/common-methodology.pdf. Methodology was piloted. - Blended mobility of seniors with virtual mobility focus on inclusive elements of senior’s education. Seniors participated in this mobility will prepare educational activity (course) for their schoolmates that will integrate knowledge and skills obtained through blended mobility. The aim of the blended mobility was to train seniors how to design and develop eLearning course in the Moodle LMS. Training was focused on methodology of the design of eLearning course in general as well as on technical issues of its implementation. - Implementation of this methodology into Virtual U3A at University of Ostrava, ev. into partners senior’s educational systems. Methodology was implemented in all partners' institutions. - Pilot of this methodology through at least one semester course in each partners’ institution. Pilot was realized in all partners' institutions. - Dissemination seminar. All partners' institutions realized dissemination seminar in their country. Erasmus Day was also utilized for dissemination of the project results. Results: - Three analysis developed by common instructions. Each partners' country developed analysis according to the common structure https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/analysis-structure.php based on the results of questionnaire for seniors https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/national-documents.php. - Comparative case study. It was created https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/final-version-of-comparative-study.php. - Methodology of inclusive senior’s education (without barrier) based on smart using of ICT, cooperative learning, social learning, integrating of youth and boost senior’s confidence. It was created https://projekty.osu.cz/isev/methodology.php. - New virtual classroom as a result of implementation of designed methodology (at least in applicant organisation). Virtual classroom was implemented in the Moodle platform. It is available on http://isev.osu.cz. All together we have created 36 eLearning courses (AMBESP 8, FMD 10, OU 13, RUTIS 5). - Courses :”seniors to seniors”. The topic of the courses will be chosen during the project. The courses will follow new methodology and will use new virtual classroom. In each partners’ institution there will be at least one semestral course. Seniors from all partners’ countries have developed eLearning courses in the platform isev.osu.cz and offered them to their schoolmates. As an example: Czech seniors have created four eLearning semestral courses. All are available on isev.osu.cz Envisaged impact and long term benefits: - Removing the barriers give more Seniors chance to take part into life-long education. This benefit was tried during covid-19 crisis. Seniors could study from their homes and be in contact with the school as well as with their schoolmates. - Increase the number of seniors participating in U3A. Using distance form of study increased number of U3A seniors. - Increase the number of active seniors, who will be able to collaborate on learning/teaching activities. - Enlargement comparative study and methodology among a vast array of stockholder. Comparative study as well as methodology were presented stockholders on national seminars and conferences. They are also available on project web pages. - Enhancement the OU in its third role (Life-long education). This benefit was also checked during covid-19 crisis. OU did not stop offering educational activities for seniors. OU has created new courses for seniors in distance form. It was possible thanks to ISEV project because more than 100 seniors that were involved in ISEV project were able to study in distance using Moodle platform.

Our approach is to allocate dedicated time to each one (learn to live better with less) to allow contacts and exchanges to thrive. We are convinced that our role should be based less on learning and, instead, move towards mediation and activities so that groups can eventually come together, so that the idea of moving forward and progressing becomes a local and concrete reality. To successfully achieve our goals, we must start from the needs and skills of the people involved. It is important that, in this context, we share our practices, experience them in another context and evaluate them. Many European programs have already allowed exchanges of practices between organizations that help young people and migrants. But all these projects focused on a classic approach to language teaching and learning, institutional knowledge, job search, etc. Our approach is totally different since it consists in the project stakeholders exchanging and developing animation and mediation practices, which allow disadvantaged people to find in themselves (following a process of social constructivism) methods, techniques and tools to live better Together with few means. It is not an approach that tends to insert young people or people at risk of social exclusion, but one aimed at developing exchanges and allowing everyone to improve by repairing, gardening, building, using digital tools, etc.

Innovative supporting tools"" is a response of institutions operating in the ""Adult education"" sector to the needs of people struggling with the negative effects of the pandemic. It changed the way of life for all people on earth. A large part of Europeans had to limit their social contacts, adapt to new ways of working, but most of all - they struggled with stress due to their own illness, illness of close people, and often also the tragedy of losing relatives and friends. At the time of this project, Europe was recovering from the third wave of the pandemic, vaccination was carried out - which caused anxiety in many adults, and there was a gradual reduction of preventive restrictions. However, our life was still largely online. The organizations participating in this project analyzed all the factors described above and conducted research on the needs of adult Poles, Slovaks, Latvians, Portuguese and Spanish (500 people in each country, 250 F and 250 M), paying attention to aspects related to their mental and physical well-being . Our research on a group of 2,500 people showed that people aged 50+ most need support in returning to mental balance and physical health. As institutions dealing, inter alia, with non-professional and non-formal adult education, we have developed a solution that we want to address to all adults, especially people aged 50+ who seek support in regaining physical and mental well-being, using educational activities. We will use a medium that has irretrievably become a permanent element of our lives - the Internet. As part of this project, we will create an online platform in the following languages: English, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Latvian and Slovak, as part of open educational resources, with an open license enabling the general public to use, reuse, adapt and share these resources, with the possibility of developing further language versions. The platform will include:- a minimum of 10 e-learning courses (4 courses using various forms of caring for physical condition: zumba, yoga, ""Healthy spine and joints"" program, strength and endurance training; healthy cooking and baking as the basis of our health; mindfulness course - ways of regaining balance; a course of living in harmony with nature; 2 DIY courses using various techniques; Internet communication course for health and mental balance ""Express yourself online""),- a channel with advice on, among others: coping with stress, coping with other negative emotions, safe search for social contacts on the Internet, safe use of the Internet, effective communication (also on-line) and others;- the function of on-line (real-time) participation in free educational (non-professional) classes for adults in our organizations - in the blended learning model,- a library of internet addresses providing free on-line access to: cultural events (e.g. theater performances), works of culture (e.g. galleries, online museums), meetings of interest groups, support groups, etc.We are convinced that this tool will respond to the needs of many adults, especially people aged 50+ who are struggling with the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in their lives. What's more, we see another potential in this tool - reaching a huge number of people with forms of non-formal education, who until now, due to various limitations - e.g. geographic or financial - could not use it. Therefore, the project has the potential to contribute to the inclusion of many people in non-formal adult education who have not been able to benefit from it so far.<< Objectives >>Through the implementation of the project, we want to create a tool - an on-line platform and reach our target group: adults, especially people aged 50+, suffering from the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We intend to develop, test and commission a multi-tool available on-line, which:- it will allow to respond to the diagnosed today and diagnosed in the future needs of adults affected by the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and especially to provide the aforementioned group of recipients with real help in improving their mental and physical condition,- will allow a significant increase in the number of people with fewer opportunities who will benefit from non-formal adult education in the countries participating in this project, and in the longer term also in other countries.Through the implementation of the project, we also want to develop the skills of adult education staff in our organizations, increase the potential and importance of our institutions, develop our potential for international cooperation and develop the cooperation of partners conducting non-professional adult education.<< Implementation >>To achieve what we described above, we plan to:1) conduct classes in a mixed mode for 6 semesters in each organization participating in the project (50% of participants physically present, 50% on-line) for 2 groups of 25 people each (in each group, about half of the participants in a full-time mode and half on -line); the classes will be aimed at people who would like to find a solution to the problems they face as a result of the pandemic through the implementation of educational activities; the classes will concern:--- ways of caring for physical condition: 1) zumba, 2) yoga, 3) ""Healthy spine and joints"" program, 4) strength and endurance training;--- healthy and tasty cooking and baking as the basis for the health of body and spirit;--- mindfulness - techniques for regaining balance;--- (returning to) living in harmony with nature;--- relaxation through ""do it yourself"" classes, using various techniques of work - from wood to strings to ceramics;--- communication on the network (Internet) for health and mental balance, 2) by conducting the above courses, enable adult’s educators to gather experience in conducting classes in the blended learning model3) by conducting the above-mentioned classes and, through the cooperation of adult education staff from our institutions, lead to the creation of a minimum of 10 e-learning courses for self-learning by the student (if possible, also those that will meet the assumptions for MOOC courses) 4) build an internet platform, post the above-mentioned functions and content, make it available for use by the students participating in the project and conduct a trial implementation, examining the strengths and weaknesses of the tool and making appropriate adjustments 5) at the beginning of the 6th semester, organize an event in each participating organization to disseminate the results of the project, ie the platform: present the assumptions about the ADULTSAFTERCOVID.EU platform; the event will take the form of a physical conference and broadcast online at the same time 6) after the conference - start to use of the platform on a large scale in the sixth semester of the project7) collect feedback from platform users, introduce corrections, at the end of the project, give the final form of the platform for wide use as part of open educational resources, with an open license enabling the general public to use, reuse, adapt and share these resources, with the possibility of developing subsequent language versions, 8) after the end of the project - the use of the platform by each organization to conduct classes, supplementing it with new results created by our organizations, making it available for development in subsequent language versions, making it available for use by other institutions of non-professional adult education.<< Results >>Based on the potential that - paradoxically - is left behind by the COVID-19 pandemic, and which we see in the transfer of a large part of the activity to the on-line zone, we want to reach adults in the countries participating in the project, as well as adults who speak English, with online educational tools aimed at:- improving the mental and physical well-being of people, especially those aged 50+, struggling with the negative effects of the pandemic- inclusion of adults in non-formal, non-professional education and awakening in them the willingness to use this form of development throughout their lives- creating new education channels - using not only e-learning, but also blended learning- inclusion of people with fewer opportunities (for economic, social, cultural, geographical, health, ethnic, disability, learning or any other reasons) in non-professional, non-formal education and real learning opportunities, that is development, throughout life.According to the title of the project - we want to create tools to assist adults in returning / starting education and improving their quality of life after the COVID-19 pandemic. The quantitative results assumed by us are the regular use of the platform by at least 2,000 adults in each of the following countries: Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Portugal, Spain during the last four months of the project and a steady increase in this number after the end of the project. The material results are a minimum of 10 courses based on on-line self-education, a channel with various tips, a tool for participation in e-learning / blended learning, a library of internet addresses giving free on-line access to: cultural events (e.g. theater performances), works culture (e.g. galleries, online museums), meetings of interest groups, support groups, etc.The next effects of the project will be new competences of adult education staff in our organizations, increasing the quality and importance of our organizations' activities, developing and strengthening our partner net, increasing the international character of our activities."
