Since the coronavirus pandemic broke out, show business has been the perhaps most heavily stricken professional sector, with film and theater productions, as well as music events, being put postponed or cancelled due to imposed measures. As a result, many performing artists have started generating their own content from their home and promote it themselves on the Internet, in order to keep being active and have chances for generating income.Unfortunately, this is not the case for their colleagues who lack basic filmmaking and digital marketing skills and therefore rely solely on live events and official film/tv productions in order to keep working. The Performers Go Online project aims to cover this knowledge gap and help performing artists keep being professionally active from their homes, even under the most strict lockdown conditions. This will be achieved through the 2 creation of 2 e-learning courses:The Performing Digitally course will focus on the technical aspect of creating audiovisual content under “quarantine conditions” in particular. The creation of such content requires only basic filmmaking knowledge, affordable equipment, little to no crew and its filming location can be a house, a yard or any other limited space. The lessons will comprise the basics of film equipment, lighting design, sound recording, video editing and storytelling while at the same time taking into account the limitations of a filmmaker in a quarantine setting. The pilot delivery of the course will be delivered by filmmaking experts to 30 performers per participating country, who will cover a wide spectrum of performing arts, ranging from actors, singers and dancers to instrument players, comedians and any other type of performer. The Promoting Digitally course will complement the first one, and will be focused on how to successfully pitch and promote this type of content through social media, YouTube and other Internet channels. It will comprise a set of methods, techniques and tips on how to properly advertise an audiovisual creation and how to successfully interact with audience and potential buyers. The pilot delivery of the course will be done by digital marketing experts to the same 30 performers per country that attended the previous one. After the theoretic part, performers will have to put their knowledge into practice, with each student selecting an organisation for which he/she will create and promote a homemade video.Participants can choose between 4 types of organisations to collaborate with:Private companies for which there will be produced a homemade advertisement of its products and/or services.NGOs where the performer will have to create a social awareness video that will disseminate the organisation’s ideas.Schools for which the participant will produce a short educational play that will be watched by its students (as an alternative to cancelled theater trips).Cultural organisations and film festivals where the film produced by the participant, will be added into the organisation’s or festival’s repertoire. In all cases, performers themselves will also have to create an online promotional strategy for their work, based on what they learned from the course. They will also receive 2 certificates of attendance, one for each course, after their successful completion. The produced videos will be uploaded on the project’s official YouTube channel, promoted through its social media accounts on Instagram and Tik Tok, and parts of them will be screened during the project’s multiplier events that will take place in the participating countries. The materials of these courses, after being fine tuned through their pilots, will become available on the project’s official website where all interested parties will be able to view them for free. They will also come under an open license for adult trainers who wish to incorporate them into their curriculum. The project will be implemented by a team of 5 educational organisations coming from 5 EU countries, namely Sc’Opara (France, also the project’s coordinator), IDEC (Greece), CESIE (Italy), La Xixa (Spain) and VHS (Germany).

Nowadays, it is known and reckoned that entrepreneurial mindset is a transversal competence necessary not only in the sphere of work, but also in all the spheres of life, as it promotes in particular motivation, pro-activity, independence, initiative and innovation in personal and social life. Fostering and reinforcing such competence leads to an improvement of society especially for disadvantaged low-qualified people who face (re)integration problems. As a matter of fact, adults that do not take part in social life are left to their own devices. It is therefore of importance to promote models and new educational pathways aimed at integrating, transferring and promoting the entrepreneurial mindset. Moreover, knowing that digital competence is of major importance for learning, work and active participation in society, some European partners decided to work on a project which aim was to Reinforce Entrepreneurship in Adults through Communication Technologies : project REACT was born! The objectives of project REACT were: > to raise adult awareness of the importance of lifelong learning paths; > to promote among the adults a better understanding of the entrepreneurial skill; > to get a sample survey of the best projects and tools employing entrepreneurship skill; > to define and test innovative tools and practical methods that support educational paths for adults in order to improve their entrepreneurial skills; > to promote an innovative tool for the recognition of competence. The main target groups were: > Direct beneficiaries: low skilled adults who live in poor areas with geographical obstacles; unemployed people who do not succeed in re-entering in the society; adults with a migration background who need a support to integrate in their new host society; adults with low social background and with low basic skills due to school drop-out because of the need to start working at a young age; women as they face a higher risk-of-poverty than men. > Intermediary beneficiaries: staff, teachers, trainers, educators who work in Adult Education organizations, schools, associations, etc. who deal with adults and may be interested in knowing and using project results. > Policy makers in the field of education.REACT project has developed 4 outputs linked to the following activities: 1. Desk research about tools and projects dealing with entrepreneurship which enabled to define the best methodology based on teaching methods, didactics and conditions for adults to become entrepreneurial; 2. Development and testing of an Innovation protocol which found new educational paths to reinforce entrepreneurship among adults; 3. Creation of a Recommendation document presenting a new tool for the recognition of entrepreneurship competence in Europe; 4. Creation of an e-learning platform including a digital game to be used with the adults involved in the project. Through the game and the methodological approach of gamification, adults increased their motivation in learning. Moreover, REACT project has developed an ADULT CENTRED APPROACH which is considered crucial to empower adults and make them responsible for their choices. To be effective and develop tailor made tools, reinforcement of entrepreneurial competence among adults required a clear perspective of the adults’ needs: thanks to REACT, adults involved in the project were active in the investigation on their needs and proactive in the identification of solutions. Furthermore, REACT project outputs were developed to be in line with the “EntreComp” document in order to: - contribute to a better understanding and promotion of entrepreneurship skill; - support Adult European citizens to participate in all areas of society by transforming ideas into action; - enhance creativity and innovation. Finally, REACT project aimed at improving and enhancing teachers' and trainer’s performance through the creation of innovative educational tools which contribute to a better understanding of the importance of the entrepreneurial skill; give adults new motivation to improve their social and personal life; enhance adults’ motivation to learn and increase the time devoted to learn new skills. All REACT results are available with free access from the project platform: https://www.reactproject.online/. Outputs are all translated in English, Finnish, French and Italian and can be downloaded for free (choosing the correct linguistic version from the website). Due to its simplicity and easiness of use, REACT intellectual outputs are easily TRANSFERABLE and therefore ensure future sustainability.

<< Background >>The fashion industry is one of the most important industries in the world with billions in turnover and great influence in the global economy. The textile and clothing industry plays an important role in Europe, employing 1.7 million people and generating an estimated turnover of EUR166 billion. However, it also has a significant impact on the environment which seems hardly compatible with the Commission’s European Green Deal and circular economy goals. Considering supply chain pressures from an EU consumption perspective, clothing, footwear and household textiles is the fourth highest — or fourth worst ranked — pressure category for use of primary raw materials and water. Also, textile waste is one of the most pressing, but perhaps not frequently talked about environmental problems faced globally. Italy was the leading textile polluter among the EU countries, followed by Czech and France.Over the past few years, the EU has been implementing a number of initiatives aimed at greening the sector which, undoubtedly, will leave their mark on the post-pandemic period, including the 2018 waste management rules package, imposing separated collection of textiles by 2025; the EU Ecolabel; and the Green Public Procurement (GPP) encouraging sustainability. However, a harmonized legal framework ensuring minimum sustainability and circularity standards across the Member States still needs to be defined. In the path towards a more sustainable fashion sector, the right to repair is considered key also by the civil society that, in April 2020, published a position paper with recommendations to the Commission on how the 2021 EU Textile Strategy should look. In this so-called Civil Society Strategy, various organizations call for the respect of human rights and the establishment of high social and environmental standards throughout the whole value chain. They point out that the introduction of a right to repair would create new jobs, prevent textile waste and tackle the issue of hazardous chemicals contained in garments. The ECOMODA consortium supports practically the respecting text by developing effective results with a great impact at the local, national and EU levels. To achieve this ambitious goal, the project will undertake many actions in training, financial grants, market stimulation, technology transfer, IPR protection, etc. The project “ECOMODA” constitutes the first step into a new dynamic sustainable community of diverse private/public actors committed to supporting skills development and employment opportunities across EU in the Textile, Clothing, Leather, Footwear and Leather Goods sector on young people. The high number of designers companies in the partner countries (CZ, IT, CY, ES, FR) shows that there is a clear need in investing in the clothing industry.<< Objectives >>The strong competition in the textile industry on international level imposes a better flexibility of the industry as well as the investment in education and the adaptation of new skills for young textile specialists. This is the reason for the need for enhancing the quality and relevance of the learning offer in education towards the latest developments in textile research and innovation. ECOMODA project envisages the development of new tools for improving key competences of young textile specialists: professionals in the textile industry, young entrepreneurs and students in higher textile education. Objectives of the project: •enhancing the quality and relevance of the learning offer in training by developing of a innovative textile course and e-learning platform/ Digital Pop Up Workspace and supporting the dissemination of the project’s outcomes; •improving the level and the assessment of textile competences, including entrepreneurship, green skills and digital skills;•promoting take-up of innovative practices by use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), open and flexible learning.•promoting structured inter-regional cooperation•improving the capacities of organisations in the fields of training of specific textile target group•promote entrepreneurship education, employability and new business creation, supporting the personal and professional development of the target group.ECOMODA welcomes the recognition of cooperatives in the key European actions for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, as means to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth (SDG8) as well as the commitment of the EU to “support the development of a competitive local private sector including by building local institutional and business capacity, by promoting SMEs, cooperatives, inclusive business models…”, recognising the impact of young creativity at the local level. ECOMODA will target in presenting the current situation within the fashion industry and means to success. ECOMODA project aims to promote also awareness, interest, skills and competences in most innovative issues of textile and clothing sectors, improving, firstly in the short term targets groups, the knowledge about the most up-to-date technologies for design and also manufacturing, but also management. Through the involvement of relevant training centres working also in the field of fashion, ECOMODA aims to re-motivate and valorize the creative and innovative attitude of young people, showing the potential and diversified opportunities of the textile and clothing sectors. Regarding the dissemination of the project, it is not only limited to those who will directly benefit from the project’s activities and outcomes, but involves also a range of stakeholders, actors, professionals and associations working in the fashion entrepreneurship sector. The partners believe that the proposed tools will provide ways for young people to enter in fashion industry and youth workers to maximize their time and resources when looking for upgrading their competences and helping youngsters to gain a wide range of skills and competences that are in demand in the labor market and especially in fashion industry shifting their focus on greener and more sustainable procedures.<< Implementation >>In parallel with the project’s research and development activities and throughout the project implementation period, a set of horizontal activities will be organised:Project planning; communication; monitoring; fine-tuning; organising partner meetings; drafting meeting minutes; coordinating, collecting and reviewing progress reports; defining of qualitative and quantitative success criteria; monitoring and evaluation; developing executive quality reports; reporting any significant deviation to the partnership and initiating a contingency plan; communicating with the National Agency. "If the migration crisis of the 2010s highlighted the difficulties in receiving and integrating people with a migrant background in Europe, the health crisis linked to the COVID-19 will exacerbate the needs of the 164 million migrant workers in the world who are severely and permanently affected by this pandemic. Therefore, many European countries have experienced and will experience migratory flows linked to labour needs but also to population displacement. The project ""Promoting Active Inclusion in Europe"" - Be in Europe aimed at the social and cultural integration of migrants on the one hand, and at their professional integration, on the other hand. Consortium Be in Europe, composed of 6 partners from 6 European countries, accompanied the migration dynamics by developing and promoting training contents and activities aimed at favouring migrants’ integration into the host countries society and labour market. The aim was to participate in the construction of a transcultural and tolerant Europe that creates wealth for all and by all. To this end, over a period of 27 months, project partners developed three alternative learning schemes for (i) the improvement of migrants' psychosocial skills, (ii) mediation and intercultural skills for businesses and (iii) support for business creation/entrepreneurship. In addition, they worked on the creation of the Be in Europe collaborative platform, which is both the showcase of the project (hosting of deliverables) and promotes networking between different actors, particularly around the activity cliché: exchange of experience in order to overcome prejudices and stereotypes.A total of 142 participants took part in the 19 training sessions organised in the partnership territories, bringing together (representatives of) adult migrants, pupils, students, teachers (FEP) and (representatives of) companies, business creation networks, professional organisations, Employment Office, Trade unions, etc. Sessions were carried out face-to-face and/or virtually, in spite of the pandemic, thus reflecting a real motivation and a real need on the part of all the players. The alternative methodology applied favoured the involvement of the participants and the conditions for the sustainability of the measures, since project direct beneficiaries were closely involved in the creation of content throughout the process: the aim was to work with and for them.Be in Europe project was punctuated by various dissemination events which contributed to a wider use and appropriation of the results and to the inclusion of the action in time. Thus, 312 people took an active part in these events which took place in Bulgaria, Belgium, France, Greece, Italy and Portugal, sometimes in person, sometimes online, sometimes simultaneously. All the project outcomes are freely downloadable from Be in Europe website in the 6 languages of the partnership: https://www.beineurope.eu/."
