AKADEMIE FUR LANDSCHAFTSKULTUR-DEUTSCHAND E.V.Funder: European Commission Project Code: 2017-1-IT01-KA202-006146Funder Contribution: 308,040 EUR"Gardeniser pro was a strategic partnership project for the development of innovation for a total duration of 35 months, involving 5 organisations from 5 European countries: REPLAY NETWORK (IT) as applicant and coordinator, Pistes Solidaires (FR), Social Farms & Gardens (UK), PETRARCA - Europeishe Akademie fur Landschaftskultur-Deutschland e.v. (DE), ECTE - European Center in Training for Employment (GR). The objective of Gardeniser pro was to create and test an innovative and European training path to support the professional development of a new figure, the one of Community Urban Gardens coordinator (garden-organizer = GARDENISER), that could strengthen soft and technical skills and experiment their validation through the ECVET system, in order to prepare the ground for the recognition of this innovative profile within the Education and Training Systems at regional and national level, increasing employability. In line with the priority initiative of the Europe 2020 ""strategy agenda for new skills and new jobs"", the profession of Gardeniser can be counted among the so-called ""green jobs"", finding in fact its natural collocation within this new and strategic working sector, high employment potential, which is called ‘green economy’. The main direct beneficiaries of Gardeniser pro were young people and adults involved in Community Urban Gardens, in both the public and private sectors, and who want to enrich or integrate the skills needed to play the role of Community Urban Gardens coordinator. Gardeniser pro has succeeded, through international cooperation between partners with diversified backgrounds and expertise in the field of education, urban gardens and vocational training, to build a transferable European format in VET field, thanks to the ECVET credit system, and the creation of a Gardeniser Licence that can be achieved through this path. The online platform GARDENISER.EU (IO4) has been created to connect the profiles of gardenisers who have obtained, or will obtain in the future, the licence and the network of national and international urban gardens, as a tool to facilitate the meeting between job supply and demand. It has been enriched by info sections addressed to diversified publics (from institutions to citizens), allowing gardenisers to have online references useful to give support to their personal branding. Additional services have been activated, targeted directly to community gardens (info-pages easy to update and translated automatically, geo-localized maps) and aimed to reinforce their action (toolbox and e-learning on good practices). The quality and homogeneity of the training format (IO2) and the related validation system (IO3) was ensured by an international training for trainers (C1) through which 2 trainers for each organisation have been trained and prepared (IO1) to transfer ad adapt Gardeniser pro course, previously studied and developed. Once the pool of European trainers was established, the Gardeniser pro training pathway at local level involved 24 trainers that delivered the TC to 101 aspirant gardenisers selected among the 214 candidates in all partner countries. An important part of the training path was an internship experience at local level and, for 8 of the participants of each organisation, at international level in the community gardens involved by the partner organisations. In this way participants could improve, through practice, specific and transversal skills and, for those who had the opportunity to go abroad, provided an opportunity for internationalization. The experimentation was also useful to build the conditions for a sustainable action even after the end of the project, thanks to the synergies built, in this specific professional field, between public and private actors. An example of this is the recognition of SF&G as a ""national training provider"" on the figure of the Gardeniser, initiated by the British Ministry of Education, and the start of the procedures to include the new professional figure in the repertoire in Italy, with the commitment of the Lazio Region to apply to the State-Regions Conference, being able to count on the support of the Region of Tuscany, actively involved in with the project ""100.000 community gardens in Tuscany"".Gardeniser pro managed to reach more than 30.000 people interested in the theme promoted by the project, to see 53 community urban gardens directly involved in the activities, among the 1.871 who followed it and who in turn disseminated information to 11.310 citizens (gardeners, active members and sympathizers)."

The initial YOU-ROPE's concept is based on the ROPE, Rites of Passage Experience Model implemented by The Center for Youth & Community, Inc. (USA), which given its theoretical contribution and constituted the basic reference for the youth community framework implemented within the project. The main aim of YOU-ROPE project have been to prevent youth problems through a more effective, integrated and coordinated approach to education and social inclusion, realised by implementing and adopting a shared model ""youth and community development through rites of passage"" and by integrating interventions during critical points of transition from childhood to adulthood.Participants n. 6 European organisations: Applicant Coordinator: CEPISS Coop. Soc. (IT); Partners: LabCom – Spin Off UNIFI (IT) Centro Machiavelli S.r.l. – Training Agency and EU Projects Dept – Florence (IT); ETCS Coop. Soc. – Barcelona (ES); ECTE - European Center in Training for Employment - Rethymno (GR); Associatia Psiterra (RO).The project involved mainly educators, youth workers and adolescents as direct target groups during the survey (IO1) and the test-run of the ROPEs Model. To achieve its main objectives, YOU-ROPE created and implemented two core Intellectual Outputs:- IO1 - Framework Survey that allowed to the consortium to collect important information about Rites of Passage in use in the partners' countries, and to develop effective guidelines for the model application, useful for organisations who intend to use this information in the future.- IO3 - Guidelines containing information and instructions for the youth workers/professionals interested in applying the ROPEs model in their working environment. The direct target group involved were youth workers and professionals, secondary schools for the extra-curricular activities, training centers, associations, municipalities especially with their youth policies, etc. All IOs have been realised involving these actors. They have been all addressed as recipients of the dissemination activities and some of them have been also involved during activities both as stakeholders and experts about the project topic. Thanks to the practical and active actions of the six official partners organisations and their associated partners within the local communities of the three involved countries (Italy, Greece, Romania and Spain), YOU-ROPE engaged several hundred participants among young people as part of powerful forces in mentoring the youngest adolescents toward the improvement of their awareness that they belong to a certain community, supporting in this way their social inclusion, giving a concrete contribution to the marginalisation prevention. This result can be considered the main impact that gave a real contribution to reduce the social withdrawal, allowing to all final beneficiaries involved to feel more recognised and integrated into their belonging communities. Thanks to these overall results, YOU-ROPE can be considered a successful project that tested a good practice, which could have good impact on the whole involved communities as long-term benefit, especially because it acted by transferring pathways to youth workers, teachers/trainers for promoting ""positive"" rites of passage practices, that can be surely adopted with good results by young generations."

With the increasing globalisation and instability of labour markets, as well as the scarcity of employment opportunities for young people, educational and professional bodies need to be able to provide the young generation with useful tools for their professional future. EUROMOB project, consisting of 7 partners from Spain, Greece, France, Finland and Portugal, has developed an online tool to identify, measure and recognise the competences that students acquire during their mobility programme in a European country, with the recognition of companies and educational institutions. This online tool responds to a number of needs, in line with the ""New Skills Agenda for Europe"" adopted by the Commission on 10 June 2016: 10 actions were launched to make training, skills and adequate support available to EU citizens, including: a European Qualifications Framework, to support better recognition of qualifications, the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, aiming to improve the digital skills of the general population, Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills, to improve the recognition and development of skills in specific sectors such as the automotive sector in vocational education and training (VET) studies by supporting the modernisation and internalisation of vocational training and key competences.EUROMOB Tool addresses the transparency and multinational recognition of competences acquired during work placement training activities abroad. Competences adapted to higher education and vocational education and training that are gained after contact with the world of work, in the fields of electrical automation and car mechanics for vocational education and training and business-related studies and the ICT sector for higher education and training. The online tool creates a direct relationship between students, educational institutions and companies, as the validation process and the use of the platform involves these key actors. The advantages of the online tool are aimed at increasing the employability of young people, the recognition of competences acquired in mobility placements, the fostering of a stronger relationship between learners and enterprises and the identification of labour market needs. This online tool is not designed to replace existing and functioning EU transparency tools or validation and credit systems (Europass, Youthpass, ECVET, ECTS, NQF, EQF, Esco, QA system), but to use them in an application programming interface. In accordance with the above-mentioned needs and objectives, the Euromob (IO2) platform has been developed to recognise and validate the skills of students undertaking a mobility, work placement abroad. This platform allows measuring, both by the student and the company, the evolution of the horizontal competences acquired in a mobility. It also allows the educational institution to review and approve the internship agreement online. In order to carry out an internship, the student must register both the internship agreement and the skills to be developed in the internship, in agreement with the company and the educational organisation. After this, the educational organisation must review and approve this information, and if everything is correct, the internship can be carried out. During the internship, company and student can measure the evolution of the specific competences of the educational sector in which the activity is being developed. At the end of the internship, a report is generated where the final assessment of these competences is recorded. This report will be certified according to qualification standards. For the development of the platform, a report has been previously made to identify the specific skills and competences (IO1) of the four sectors addressed (car mechanics or electrical automation for vocational training such as business studies and ICT in higher education), competences that are developed during the internship abroad. The platform is available in the languages of the partner countries (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Finnish and Greek). In order to facilitate the use of this online platform and make it accessible to students, teachers and companies, user guides and multimedia content (IO3) have been developed to allow all actors involved in an internship to integrate this tool during mobilities. These user guides are available on the project website and the multimedia guides on Youtube, all this content is available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Finnish and Greek. At the same time, a qualification validation method and qualification standards have been elaborated where a certification scheme has been developed for each professional category in order to assess and certify the knowledge, skills and competences of each professional. This is a means of guaranteeing that the certified person meets the requirements of the certification scheme, allowing companies to identify the real competences of the candidates, which facilitates the recruitment and selection of personnel and at the same time increases the possibilities of the students who carry out these internships using the Euromob tool.Accompanying this method of validation of qualifications together with the qualification standards, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), a Learning Agreement (LA) and a statement agreeing the details of the internship have been drawn up."

By 2070, 30% of people in Europe are estimated to be aged >65. While the Social and Health Care (SHC) sector makes up 10% of total employment in the EU, estimations forecast an increase by more than 830,000 new jobs in the next 10 years. In this context, multi-professional teams, assessing users’ needs and shaping user-centred health and social community-based SHC plans, have been identified at EU level as top priorities.TEAMCARE project aims to enhance the responsiveness of SHC systems to current societal challenges targeting a specific existing mismatch between the skills currently characterizing SHC Professionals working in multi-professional teams and those skills actually demanded by the public sector to shift to resilient and sustainable systems centred on community-based services, such as transversal, soft and digital skills. The main expected output of the project will be an EU Curriculum for “Specialist in Community Based Interprofessional Teams (CBIT) for person-centered care”, based on an Integrated Framework of Competences and supplied with Guidelines for the instantiation in different countries. The Curriculum will be multidisciplinary, inter-professional, based on the main EU VET standards and supporting micro-credentials. These results will be tested through 4 HE pilot courses which will be implemented in 4 countries (IT, GR, PL, IR), thus testing Curriculum flexibility. An Integrated Platform supporting SHCPs’ formal and informal learning will be also released as well as Open Contents. Recommendations and a Roadmap targeting Decision Makers will be delivered and a scaling-up strategy will be implemented. The Alliance involves 12 full partners from 6 EU countries (Ireland, Italy, Greece, Poland, Belgium, Austria). Different stakeholders across EU will benefit from the project: SCHPs, HE and VET providers, private and public social and healthcare Institutions, decision makers, and final service users.

Rising life expectancy and increasing numbers of older people in the population in Europe means a growing number of individuals are affected by visual and hearing impairments. Thus, raising general awareness of problems and potential solutions is essential to maximising individual quality of life and minimising social isolation. A key challenge related to the quality of life of older people with sensorial impairments is the adequate training of the professionals working in care services addressed for this specific target group. Through surveys, events, workshops and daily work ENVITER and HIPEN (European networks representing organisations of professionals and experts in sensory impairments from 21 EU countries) collected information about the concrete learning needs of the professionals working with ageing people with sensory impairments. Based on this knowledge, 7 entities from these EU networks launched the SENSNET project with the aim of creating a European Academy that designed, developed, collected, tested and valorised innovative approaches and contents tailored to the specific needs of professionals that work with ageing people with sensory impairments. The main activities within the SENSNET project were as follows:- Design of the methodological guide for the learning programme- Development of the training materials for professionals working with ageing people with hearing and/or visual impairments in the areas such as, lighting and ergonomics and accessibility in society and in the daily life (access to culture and access to information and communication media)- Creation of an online learning platform for professionals working with ageing people with hearing and visual impairments- Development of training courses for professionals- Organisation of two multiplier events in Germany and FranceThe most important results achieved within the SENSNET project are: 1) Creation of the European Academy that provides training for professionals working with ageing people with visual and/or hearing impairments (SENSNET-EASI platform), 2) Creation of a European learning community of professionals working with ageing people with visual and/or hearing impairments, 3) Increased the knowledge base of the partners to have a more accurate awareness of professionals’ learning needs and priorities, 4) Improved skills of professionals involved in two rounds of the training course, 5) Creation of a comprehensive training strategy for professionals working with ageing people with hearing and visual impairments6) Increased awareness on the importance of the training of the professionals working with ageing people with visual and/or hearing impairments at national (Spain, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Bulgaria, Greece and United Kingdom) and European levels. The main target group of the project are workers at day care centres for older people, geriatric social workers, care workers for seniors, therapists for seniors, GPs, nurses, home-visiting care workers and other professionals that provide services to support ageing people with sensory impairments. Through the SENSNET activities these target groups have improved their occupational qualification and professional skills in the area of sensory impairments, especially related to hearing and visual problems. By participating in the SENSNET courses all of them became part of a European learning community of professionals working with ageing people with visual and/or hearing impairments and will be informed on the further training to be developed by ENVITER (European Network for Vision Impairment Training Education & Research) and HIPEN (European Network for Professionals working with People with Hearing Impairments). As long-term benefit can be mentioned, among others, the creation of the European Academy that will continue providing training for professionals working with ageing people with visual and/or hearing impairments beyond the project lifetime. To this end, the organisations belonging to the ENVITER and HIPEN networks will encourage their members to participate in the SENSNET courses that are available at the online platform sustained by the Dutch partner – Visio. Also it has to be emphasised that ENVITER has expressed the importance of and their interest in making sure that the efforts in the SENSNET Project will be taken further and will be made sustainable with support of the network. Finally, it is relevant to mention that the final beneficiaries of the SENSNET project are ageing people over 60 with visual and/or hearing impairments. Due to the SENSNET project, ageing people with sensory impairments will be able to use better qualify services provided by professionals who have carried out the tailored trainings.
