This demand is partly due to the emergence of new architectures for hybrid and electric vehicles and systems for new energy production (wind turbines). The large gear ratios imposed lead to propose designs composed of several planetary gears corresponding to multi-mesh systems with moving axes. The expertise of LTDS on dynamic and vibroacoustic behaviour of gear trains is a major asset to develop tools that will allow VIBRATEC to furnish high scientific quality services and meet societal and industrial needs. Moreover, the discussed topics raise fundamental scientific issues that are a major concern for industry companies. So this partnership is an opportunity for the LTDS to engage scientific research in partnership with VIBRATEC clients. It is necessary to provide effective tools for numerical prediction of gear dynamics in order to attract the interest of industry companies. Indeed, the methods implemented in the finite element and multi-body dynamics software do not respond to raised issues. Also, one of the first objectives of the LabCom LADAGE is to consolidate the existing tools developed at LTDS for predicting the gear dynamic behaviour, to improve them by extending their scope, including multi-mesh systems with moving axes, and to facilitate their use. The first research areas are considered to improve these tools developed at LTDS: - Integrate an advanced modelling of rolling element bearings as a transfer component between the drivelines and the housing. - Taking into account the couplings between multiple excitation sources associated with multi-mesh systems. Through the joint piloting of scientific strategy and continuous defining of new areas of research topics, one of the objectives of the LabCom LADAGE is to sustain the continuous quality improvement of gear dynamics prediction tools performances. The implementation of the LabCom LADAGE will be accompanied by a joint prospecting approach and by establishing seminars, to reveal the skills developed the industrial world, to increase the volume of activities around the issues raised and to initiate scientific collaborations.
