Abstract

La colección de ictiología del Museo de La Salle – Bogotá (MLS) actualmente alberga 1.940 especímenes pertenecientes a 28 ordenes, 88 familias, 201 géneros y 345 especies. Todos los ejemplares se encuentran catalogados, con una representación alta de los ordenes Characiformes (828 especímenes) y Siluriformes (668 especímenes) con 134 y 137 especies respectivamente, un total de 345 especímenes se encuentra identificado a nivel de familia y 570 a nivel de género. Los ejemplares proceden de Amazonas, Antioquia, Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina, Atlántico, Bogotá, D.C., Bolívar, Boyacá, Caldas, Caquetá, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Norte de Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Santander, Tolima, Valle del Cauca y Vichada
