Abstract

Com aproximadamente 160 espécies, a coleção lenhosa de árvores do Herbário Vale do São Francisco, formalmente Xiloteca Vale do São Francisco, é uma importante fonte de referência e consulta à diversos taxóns das Caatinga. A coleção ainda é utilizada para pesquisa, ensino e extensão de diversos cursos oferecidos na Universidade, como Ciências Biológicas, Agronomia e Farmácia.
