Abstract

O acervo conta com mais de 8 mil espécimes (briófitas, pteridófitas, macroalgas marinhas e angiospermas). O principal objetivo é proporcionar a comunidade com serviços em questões relacionadas com a identificação precisa das plantas, bem como preservar o testemunho de estudos científicos realizados por estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação nas áreas de ecologia, taxonomia e fitoterapia. A principal área de estudo é o bioma Mata Atlântica no litoral do estado de São Paulo, Brasil, nos seguintes ecossistemas: manguezal, restinga , floresta tropical Densa. Especialidade: Esta coleção representa a flora da restinga de Bertioga (Parque Estadual da Restinga de Bertioga). Também contendo Briófitas, pteridófitas e macroalgas da região costeira do estado São Paulo.
